Visited with 3 friends after a show at the Kings Theatre. Our starters were chicken satay, ribs, sweetcorn fritters and prawn tempura. All thoroughly enjoyed and great portion sizes. For mains we had Massaman beef curry, Thai curry and basil & chilli chicken with sides of jasmine and friend rice. Again all meals were really lovely and great portions. Upon arrival we were given complimentary crackers and sweet chilli sauce which was a nice touch. We shared wine and finished our evening with cocktails. All great, highly recommended and the great value.

Very poor food and drink. Party of 6 and woman service rolled her eyes twice when asking about things on the menu. My partner and I ordered the honey pork ribs and they were honestly the most underwhelming ribs we’ve ever had. The sauce was the only somewhat tasty thing about them, then meat was very poor. I got a margarita cocktail and it was about 50% ice. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I've been here a few times last year for cocktails and loved the drinks, they were really strong, especially the volcano. However, this year since they've introduced the new menu it seemed the drinks were weaker. I had a zombie and a volcano and I didn't get the hit from them that I'd had before, it was hard to tell they had alcohol in them. At £14 and £30 I'd have expected more oomph. It's got a nice enough decor but I think I'd now look elsewhere for cocktails, especially given how expensive they are.

Sadly the unbearable and overwhelming smell of industrial cleaning products meant we couldn’t stay to eat. Anyone that’s been in a nightclub just after it’s been cleaned will know the smell. Not a fussy diner at all (as my other reviews will attest) but this was too much, sadly especially when we wanted to eat and not drink. Perhaps we visited the day after a very big evening but you can only go on what you experience.

30 for a cocktail that didn’t really taste like it had alcohol in it as a welcome drink wasn’t a great start. I had 3 starters. Som Tum was meant to be a shredded pounded salad and this was a favourite of mine when I traveled. It wasn’t close to the authentic som tum or even vaguely similar. Less than half a bag of supermarket salad with a few slices of mango and no dressing was not worth &6.50. I wouldn’t have even classed it as a decent side salad. The rest of the food was ok but nothing was great. Tiki was overpriced and underwhelming…

After leaving a great night in bunker we decided to finish our night in here. We were greeted by a not so friendly bouncer saying we might not get seated together as there Not sure if he said this to put us off as when we went in the place was dead with only a few people. Plenty of tables and chairs for us to sit together so sounds like he was being arsey with us. Had one drink as it was late and left. This is now the third time I’ve been here for drinks maybe I’m going to late or the wrong times, I won’t let this experience put me off as I will try again for food, it us a lovely place to go just not on this occasion.

Don't think it could be beaten for value for money and taste. It's not tiny portions of processed food from overpriced city centre eateries as per the usual, it was great sized portions of home made, delicious food. We had the spring rolls, chicken satay and then a red and green thai curry. Along with lovely prawn crackers and dip. Definitely a place we will visit again. The decor in the Tiki bar is fantastic! Very unique. The service was very good too. They have an extensive bar menu. Sadly, let down by their cocktails. They were very sweet, expensive and we couldn’t taste much alcohol in them at all. I got a zombie. Now at a cost of £13 and a limit of 2 per customer, you’d expect them to be quite strong but I couldn’t even tell I’d had a drink afterwards. It just tasted of juice. After watching the lad make them, the cocktails are 25% liquid and 75% ice at best! Not worth the cost. Won’t be back.

My girlfriend and I stumbled across this gem of a place and decided to try out their boozy brunch. The food was amazing and cocktails were great. I honestly didn’t expect much as brunch deals tend to be quite dull, but this place, so far, is the best by a country mile. I honestly recommend the beef massaman, chicken satay and melon margarita cocktail. Rebecca served us from start to finish and was so nice and attentive. It was very busy for a period of time due to a large walk-in, but she made it work! She also asked about allergies, which is pretty uncommon in most establishments. A main + side and four cocktails for £30 pp is honestly a steal. No hidden charges either unlike some other places in Glasgow. We will definitely be back.

Not really a tiki bar. Sure it's decorated on the inside but not with love and care rather just putting some appropriately inappropriate posters on the wall. The massive TV in the corner showing rugby and other TVs showing adverts for vodka redbull are not very tiki. Outside the TVs are blasting MTV and ads. The staff are friendly enough but not really in the tiki spirit (not a Hawai Shirt in sight). The drinks were ok but not done with love either, they are poured together by the bartender's not using fresh ingredients and not being tasted or checked. The result is palatable but nowhere near to what tiki can (and ought to be). Most of the other guests seemed to be enjoying themselves, but they were drinking beer and watching the rugby. Which are great pasttimes but I am wondering why they chose an (allegedly) tiki bar. It also seems that they don't do tiki mugs on weekends which adds to the strange feel. This is not a bad place just I came with the expectation of enjoying a wonderful tiki experience as in trader's Vic and many tiki bars around today. Instead I found a rather average bar that shows the Sport, plays loud music and has Guinness on draught masquerading as a tiki bar. It was not the facsimile I was hoping for

I booked a table here for a quiet Thai meal with my husband close to our hotel. I understood I had booked a table for two in the restaurant on the ground floor. On arrival, the manager (I use the term manager loosely) had assigned us instead a table on the noisy bar part of the establishment, and four people clearly the worse for drink we’re playing table football really noisily right next to what would have been our table. WTAF? Unsurprisingly they lost our business. Turns out there’s a really good Thai restaurant right around the corner. I’d be amazed if they don’t loose a lot of customers this way. The „manager“ needs to engage her brain here.

Believe it or not this was my first Thai meal and I am 61 years old (apart from a horrible curry from supermarket which made me think I did not like Thai food!). The meal was absolutely amazing. Me and my daughter shared the chicken skewers, spring rolls and a green Thai curry. The chicken skewers were a bit too spicy for me but I have never tasted anything so amazing than the curry, it was so creamy and the rice was soooo good. I am lactose intolerant and have IBS but my stomach was totally fine as the ingredients are coconut based. I have defininitely been converted to Thai food now, thank you so much :-)

First off the staff were friendly but clearly understaffed. There were only 8 people in the restaurant, which seemed low for a Saturday night, but it was a lovely setting and seemed to have good reviews. Drinks were served quickly, as were the complimentary crackers but then we sat so long for our starters that these were replaced and we had to order a second round of drinks. When the starters did eventually arrive - my chicken satay was so over cooked I had to cut it off the skewers - a shame as the sauce with it was delicious. My husband said the soup was nice. Again, waited quite a while for main - I had the beef curry - again the sauce was delicious but the beef overcooked so I left that. I left most of my main and no questions were asked as to why. The waitress even mentioned how packed they were in the bar and I’m pretty sure they were trying to cope with both? She was very apologetic for the delays and after we had paid (bill was wrong as well but quickly changed) offered us a round of drinks - I’d much rather they had done that before we paid as we just wanted to leave. Such potential but we wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Took advantage of the lunch deal for £10. First, the Massaman curry is among the best I've ever had on the verge of being truly memorable. The two item lunch I had was really tasty and deserved a bigger audience, we were the only people in and a busier restaurant may have made the few small issues not a factor and I'll explain why. If the kitchen was turning over lots of meals then the issue I had with temperature from reheated items would you hope be mitigated by the volume. The food isn't this venue's primary function, it's an evening/weekend place where cocktails are its forte. Can't fault the service. Would I return, yes but just for the Massaman curry alone.

My TripAdvisor name is "South China Sea" for reasons I won't get into, but suffice it to say I KNOW a Tiki bar when I see one. As I write this I am surrounded by various carved wooden idols from Hawaii and Polynesia, bead necklaces from the Indian Ocean, and a genuine vintage Trader Vic's ashtray and books on the South Seas and Tiki culture going back to the 1940s. Innumerable vintage Hawaiian shirts are behind me in my cupboard. And I almost bought a resort in the Solomon Islands some years ago So when I say the Glasgow Tiki Bar is pretty authentic, I feel reasonably qualified to say so. So I found myself in Glasgow recently on shore leave with time on my hands, and sought out a place I would feel at home, did some Googling and OMG Glasgow has a Tiki Bar! Who would have thought! Although it seems to market itself locally as a place to get blotto with work buddies in the evening, the atmosphere doesn't get a lot of acknowledgement but I gotta say they did a great job on the decor! Unfortunately the night I was there it was COLD, in the middle of the week, and pretty early in the evening, so it was pretty dead. Maybe 3 or 4 other patrons. On entering, visually 5 stars with all the Tiki stuff. Looks like a Trader Vic's. The Drinks menu is pretty good too, but sadly when the drinks came they were disappointingly weak. YES they looked authentic, YES they were served in mostly authentic glasses/mugs with an intriguing option to purchase locally-made ones, and YES they were very flavorful, but WOW they were weak. For a city that is internationally notorious for drinking, I really would have expected the drinks to have a little more kick. Possibly it'll be different when you visit - and you ABSOLUTELY SHOULD - but after several drinks we left without much of a buzz. Hopefully it'll be different for you. The food on the menu comes from a Thai place upstairs (which actually isn't bad and most people there wouldn't know Polynesian food from Thai food) so if you're hungry YES you should order something. Good menu and reasonably priced. ANYWAY if you are in Glasgow and you want to experience something other than the Scottish pub/bar scene, I would recommend you pop in to the Tiki Bar for an hour or two. Thousands of soldiers and sailors passed through Glasgow on their way for the very long trip to Imperial outposts ranging from the Sandwich Islands to the South China Seas, and many of the ships built on the Clyde spent their working lives in the South Pacific, and what better way to recognize all that than a concotion or two at the Tiki Bar and Kitsch Inn? OKAY one last thing - the owners could make a FORTUNE selling T-shirts. The Scots connection and the South Pacific is STRONG. Read up on the history of HSBC and Jardine Matheson. Scots wha hae!

Great for a big group & cocktails. Beer garden is the best, although maybe don’t book your party during a football game, which plays outside on the big screen.

Wish i could give 0 stars. We booked a table here at a reserved cost of £20. No one at the entrance to assist us. We eventually managed to flag someone down. Ordering drinks a nightmare - no table service unless you use the QR code but they have next to no signal and I ended up having to go outside. We waited around 15 minutes for our drinks. Drinks arrived separately. When my drink arrived it was supposed to be served in a skull glass. No skull glass given and I requested an explanation as to why, I was told they dont serve like that at weekend and its skull ice cubes. I proceeded to look at ice cubes and they were standard. I removed all 15 ice cubes from my glass which was considerably small in size and I had less than a quarter of my glass filled with liquid at a cost of £9, this stuff could strip walls it was disgusting and embarrassing to even serve to someone but they stuck some pineapple on top so that was a nice touch 👍 I requested to speak with a manager and asked for my money back, she was rude and unapproachable and didnt even apologise. Refund issued and I left to go to another bar with much better service, better cocktails and excellent staff. I am aware this is based on one drink but in total I lasted less than 30 mins in the place. Staff and management showed no care or concern for their customers I certainly will avoid in future.

Been here a couple of times recently - it's a very cool pub and the menu for drinks is really cool. Really recommend the VOLCANO! It's awesome! The bar menu for food is also excellent - we had good value and great tasting starters to...

Dreadful. Overcooked meat (chicken and pork) and very dry rice. Sauce with a little honey was incredibly sweet. Meat in top of salad so wilting. Everything seems pre cooked and heated up in a wok. Not nice at all. Amazed by the positive reviews. Very uncomfortable canteen style restaurant and overpriced for what it is.

We met friends for lunch - what a beautiful setting! This is a very opulent looking restaurant (don’t be put off if you’re not dressed up!!) serving delicious Thai food and cocktails! The service was friendly and relaxed!
