Buen menú - un montón de opciones y una carta de vinos razonable, aunque la elección para el vino por copa es limitada. La comida era excelente, pero, como soy alérgico a las cebollas, pregunté específicamente si mi elección se podía hacer sin cebollas - me aseguraron que sí, pero cuando llegó estaba literalmente en una cama de cebollas. Very good meal in general but the rice bowls are extra, which is expensive for a bowl of rice, not mentioned when you order….

Lovely Thai restaurant, a short walk from Glasgow Central Station. We really enjoyed the Chicken Green Curry, it had plenty of vegetables along with the chicken. Stir-fried mixed vegetables were excellent, good variety. Italian red wine was excellent! I really liked the decor, quite classy looking, and background music was very enjoyable. Staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

Busy and clearly popular restaurant and we were wise to pre-book. We started with the Platter which was very good and followed with a green chicken curry and duck tip top. Both were very pleasant, but I would have liked the duck a bit more crispy. Service was smooth and timely and the staff friendly; I would be happy to eat there again.

Really good Thai food. All 3 dishes our group got were great! Just needed to know going in was going to take a bit for food and service on a very busy night but not bad!

Saturday evening in Glasgow and no restaurant reservation! Popped into Thai Orchid and lucky for us a couple were just leaving so managed to get a table. Excellent attentive service throughout, relaxing atmosphere and tasteful decor, and incredible food! Couldn't ask for anything more. We will definitively be back...and we'll book in advance next time.

Fabulous Thai cuisine. The Thai Orchid is a beautiful restaurant situated in the heart of Glasgow. The owner will make you feel very welcome. All food is just delicious cooked by Thai chefs. This is my favourite restaurant in Glasgow!

Estaba asistiendo a un evento en Glasgow en un pub cercano, así que mi esposa y yo pensamos en hacer una noche de eso e ir a comer a algún lugar cercano. Vimos Itison y vimos una gran oferta para una comida de 3 platos por £ 39 aquí, y mientras que hemos estado en restaurantes tailandeses antes y realmente no lo disfrutamos, pensamos en darle una oportunidad. A solo un tiro de piedra de la estación central de Glasgow, estaba en un lugar que nos convenía para nuestro evento más tarde esa noche, y nos recibieron con una cálida y amable bienvenida. Nuestro trato era un entrante, cualquier carne de res, pollo o plato de verduras del menú principal y un desierto, así que era un buen trato. Como se ha dicho, hemos estado en restaurantes tailandeses en el pasado y realmente no disfrutamos de ellos, ya que el entrante solo volaría su cara con especias, y no disfrutaría de su comida, ya que había perdido todo sentido del gusto. Sin embargo, este lugar era perfecto, y se podía saborear cada boca llena de su excelente comida. Recomiendo encarecidamente y sin duda volveremos de nuevo en el futuro.

Visited this restaurant for a date night with my partner. Romantic atmosphere and waiter and waitress very attentive. We are both vegetarian and there was a big selection for us to choice from. Vegetarian red and Green Thai curry were delicious. We also had the corn cakes for starters and they were also very tasty. Would recommended to vegetarians as lots of choice.

Had a craving for Thai food, so it was nice to find this so close to Glasgow central station. Really nice restaurant. Food tastes as good as it does in Thailand (amazing and full of flavour). Staff were attentive, really nice and friendly. Will definitely be going back. 🙏

I ate at Thai Orchid many years ago and always wanted to go back but never had a chance, finally last night I was able to go and take my wife who is a fussy eater and she loved it. The food was amazing the Tom-Yam soup wasn't delicious and not overly spicy but the star of the show had to be the spring rolls they were lovely and thick and had a nice crunch when you bit into them not like the soft/soggy ones you get elsewhere. The staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome from start to end.

We had a takeaway and to be honest it wasn't great, all the Tomyam soup tasted of was muscles, nowhere did it mention muscles in the dishes description, very disappointing. We feel the takeaway was far to expensive, green and red curry's were very small and one dish had grapes in it, not nice. Sticky rice was a lump in the bottom of a container, it filled just under half the dish and was like paste. We eat a lot of Thai food and this one was not good. Cannot recommend any of the dishes we had, red curry wasn't to bad but very small portion sizes for all dishes including the rice.

Mi esposa y yo compramos un vale Itison para Thai Orchid. Ambos tuvimos Tom Kha Thai especiado caldo de coco sopa con verduras para empezar que era muy agradable. Para principal tuve pollo con salsa de jengibre y saltear verduras y arroz con jazmín. Fue agradable pero un poco salado para mi gusto. Mi esposa tenía pescado en salsa de jengibre y pimienta negra. Realmente lo disfrutó. El helado estaba incluido en el trato, pero no lo teníamos. El pez monje era £ 5 suplemento y el trato Itison era £ 39. 95 . Fue agradable y volvería, pero no se apresuró a volver.

Searched 5pm for somewhere to visit on a Saturday night before our show in the King's theatre. Friends have recommended here before & the offer was 15% off a la catrte menu. The restaurant is so handy for central station & the kings theatre is a short walk away. From when we arrived staff were so friendly & attentive asked if we wanted our jackets hung up. We had prawn crackers & satay dip while looking at the menu & these alone were delicious. We shared the king prawn spring rolls & because the satay dipping sauce was so tasty we had to try the chicken satay skewers with sauce. Then I had chicken jungle curry with coconut rice & my friend had chicken & nuts with paad Thai noodles. All excellent & we will be returning again. Staff so lovely to all & made an extra effort to ensure we enjoyed our evening. It is a lovely unpretentious setting with excellent food & staff. Thank you 😀

Danny Tsang and staff were very attentive and our dinners were custom made to suit our tastes. Hands down the best Thai meal I have ever had. I’m glad I don’t live locally, I would spend all my money at this restaurant!

A hidden gem in Argyle Street. Going right from central station. Perfection. Staff were so nice and meal was amazing. Will definitely be back .

Oh wow!!! … an amazing dining experience that we stumbled across through a 5pm deal. Food, service and ambience all first class … so good we returned the following week to finish off a week’s holiday. Again not disappointed and experienced the same high standards and amazing food as on our previous visit … and also a lovely warm welcome from Candy, who recognised us from our previous visit. Would highly recommended and have to say I have now found my favourite restaurant in Glasgow city centre 🥰

Made our first visit to this fantastic little gem today. Ate from the lunch menu, which at £20 for 3 courses was excellent. Full experience was amazing from the great, attentive service to the immaculate clean tables and high quality linen and delicious, authentic tasty food. Look forward to our next visit.

We have visited this restraint on our own and with different friends and it never fails to disappoint. Food is definitely the best Thai in Glasgow. Candy, her husband and staff are the best hosts. Definitely recommend.

The restaurant seems like recently refurbished. It is located in the glasgow city centre. Speaking of the staff, they were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food - it was simply delicious. We ordered a variety of classic Thai dishes, including scallops, pad thai, green curry, and tom yum, among others, and each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh and well-cooked, and the spices were perfectly balanced to create a truly authentic Thai taste. Overall, I would highly recommend this Thai restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic dining experience in Glasgow.

We booked a table for Friday night, it’s a good job we did. It was packed. The staff are really friendly and we were seated quickly and drinks orders taken. We had a mixed starter to share and deep fried calamari to start. There were wantons, spring roll, fish cakes, king prawns and satay sticks. All amazing and different flavours. The calamari was so tender and the batter crispy. Delicious. We then had masaman chicken curry with coconut rice and chicken pad Thai for mains. We shared these because we can never decide which to have and we love both. The curry was light and full of so many flavours. The pad Thai was amazing, so tasty, the noodles were perfect. This food was better than when we were in Thailand a few years ago. So tasty. The service and staff were amazing as ever. They’d just finished serving a table of about 24 and were very busy but the food and service didn’t suffer a bit. It’s just a shame we can’t come back for a few months as we don’t live in Scotland. Many thanks yet again.

This place is absolutely delicious. The best tom yum soup I've ever had. If you do anything, get the tom yum soup. Please. Thai milk tea was yum too (not in the picture). Sad you can't get it at most boba tea places here. Even though the food is fantastic, the service is the real star. Everyone is eager to make you happy and super enthusiastic about the food. They are super accommodating as well. Anything you need will be taken care of. Stellar service, truly.

A small, cozy and very comfortable place to eat. Staff are are very attentive and the food consistently good. We ate here three times in the same week because we enjoyed the service, the menu choices, and because the prices were moderate.

Don't be put off by the unassuming facade - this is a gem! We loved the entire experience - lovely decor, wonderful music, friendly attentive genuine Thai staff and of course amazing food. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it.

I ordered a meal from here through Uber eats to a hotel nearby. It was never delivered. So so disappointing, hotel tried to sort with Thai orchid just told manager not available . No interest in sorting the problem or providing the food. Really? Customer service? Won't order delivery from here again!

I have travelled the world eating at Thai restaurants where ever I have been. (Including Thailand. By far this place is the best I have ever tasted. I absolutely recommend the Seafood Tom Yam soup (ask for spicy) and the beef curry (Again ask for spicy). Wow

I only gave it a 1 as there was no other option , I rarely give negative reviews and regard myself as a genuine reviewer . From the get go I had a feeling that something didn’t balance , dated decor . On the face of it a really exciting menu … Recently I visited the brilliant Zapp Thai in both Newcastle and York where genuine street food was offered and not hyper overpriced . I ordered crab rolls and a Tom yam (clear ) with noodles . The crab was nowhere to be seen and the Tom Yam nice as it was had no noodles . I dislike writing bad reviews but this was not good .

I love Thai food and this was probably the best I have ever had. I had a simple spiced prawn soup and a green Thai vegetarian curry (always my choice) and both were amazing. Service good. Everything spotless.

There was a smell as soon as we entered restaurant not sure if dampness or wet carpet Must say though food was lovely and service spot on. I think a bit overpriced, wouldn't go regularly at those prices.

Only went because it was chucking it down with rain so we dashed in. Best tofu massaman curry I’ve ever had. Delicious. We were there early and it wasn’t busy but the staff were lovely and it didn’t feel empty. Highly recommend. We’re here for the weekend so might have to come back before we leave. Yum.

The staff were friendly and very polished. The food was excellent; best we’ve had in our travels across Ireland and Scotland. We had Crispy Wontons, Wonton Soup, Chicken Pad Thai and Curry Chicken. It was wonderfully flavored and beautifully presented. Highly recommended!

Amazing food and lovely service, will be back

Won't be returning. We were a party of four that booked a table and arrived 5mins early, but it took the staff 15mins to seat us even though there were tables available. It took 35mins forus to wait on our cocktail order as the staff clearly forgot we ordered them. We waiting close to an hour and a half for our main courses. We declined to wait for desserts a despite 3 of us having a 3- course meal and when we asked for the bill there was no chance of a reduction on bill when argued regarding the amount of time it took. Service was terrible. Calamari was unedible. Tom yum was quite good though.

Food was very tasty. Plenty to choose from for vegetarians. However, we paid £3 for a glass of water. You pay separately for the rice with the curry and it is also pricey. Portions are small and service not very inviting. The purple light gives a somewhat cold, strange atmosphere. It was also literally very cold due to air conditioning.
