Chawp Pet Noi in Glasgow City

I never write reviews but me and my husband booked at this little restaurant just over a week ago and all I can say is the food is damn delicious ,so delicious I have been back another 2 times since that. The staff are also so lovely and there to help if needed, music and vibe very chilled.This restaurant is small,only seats 5, so i would advise to book. I have walked past this little restaurant many times, and never knew of the delights inside, this is a must try!!!

Wowaweewa this place was absolutely cracking! Small wee place with seating around the edge of the restaurant (maybe enough space for 5 or so people) so perfect for a quick nibble at lunch time or a takeaway for dinner. The menu has is not too large, but has a wide variety of classic delicious dishes. I would say the names of the dishes I got but my Thai is nowhere near good enough. Something something khoi. Basically was a spiced laksa esque curry filled with juicy chicken breast, crispy and normal noodles with pickled red onion and fresh chillies. My friend had fish sauce caramel pork belly that after a nibble I can confirm was crisp tender while still remaining that melt in your mouth quality. Overall food was stunning! Definitely recommend getting it topped with a fry egg too as that really was the cherry on the curry. What a surprise of a place! Thanks so much to the staff for being incredibly friendly and helping me navigate my terribly pronounced Thai :)

Best Thai food in Scotland!!!!!!

Consistenty poor delivery…latest was because of storm … we ain’t talking January Storm … 30mph winds and light rain !!! … foods great but always late/wrong … get a grip and be honest about timing !

Had a pad krapow delivered from here. It was the hottest thing I have ever eaten. To the point I gave up a third of the way in, drank a glass of milk, and sweated profusely for the next 30 minutes. I've eaten pad krapow dozens of times. Piled through Vindaloos & Madrases, no comparison. In three trips to Thailand I've never had anything even close (I know they pull back on chili for tourists...but still, this was way more than any 3-chili dish i've ever had) The next day was unpleasant. I assumed it was a mistake, but then the owner posted a pretty sneery reply about how I just didn't know anything about real Thai food (it's literally my favourite cuisine). The papaya salad we also got was...ok, a little limp. I like supporting small local kitchens but this was just insane.

Don’t order satay skewers or cucumber smash. Skewers dry as hell and cucumber smash is just chopped cucumber with some chillis. Beef massaman unbelievable and the pork dish with the 3 chillies can’t remember its name but also unbelievable. Thai crackers a scam don’t bother with them.

We've been to this place a couple of times, tried different dishes, and it's been consistently AMAZING. The balance of bold flavours on every plate is absolutely spot on. The pork belly in fish tamarind caramel sauce is the best we've ever had! It has a few seats inside and it's a fantastic option for delivery and collection, with reasonable prices and awesome food. Lovely staff too!

If you’ve not tried the food here yet, you need to and you will not regret it. I consider myself quite a fussy eater so was apprehensive about trying somewhere new. It is the most delicious food I've had in a long time and everything is so fresh i don't even feel guilty after eating it. I recommend this place to anyone who will listen. 10/10

Exceptional food. Do not miss the chicken wings

We stumbled upon Chawp Pet Noi and decided to give it a try. It’s fairly small inside with only a few seats. I went for the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles), £12.50, and the Gad Toi Hat Yai (fried chicken), £8.50, and smashed cucumber, £5.50. There were tons of wings!! Each of them were so juicy and packed with flavour. The sauce was incredible too, I loved it. However, the cucumber was a bit underwhelming, I think it was a bit pricey for what you got, but did help to cool down the spice from the wings. The noodles were sensational. A substantial portion, tender chicken and just the right level of spice - what more could you want? They delivered on flavour and portion sizes, giving it great value for money (excluding the cucumber). I’m already eyeing the crispy pork with the same sauce as the chicken wings for my next visit. Love this place, great flavours, good value and having just moved to the area really happy to have a decent Thai place close by.

Really disappointing experience. First time ordering food and it was cold and noodles were hard. Real shame as I think it would’ve been a tasty otherwise. Email was sent to raise issues as above and no one replied. Would not order from here again.

The first time in the place and is great wee place,had pad Thai with chicken (10/10) also sweetcorn fritters 5/10 but they weren't for me but still nice,highly recommended to anyone and will be back guys

I messaged John ahead about arranging a menu and pre-order with delivery for a girls get together on 13th September. He was great at catering for vegan guest and was a pleasure to deal with. On the evening itself, everything was exactly as agreed and the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved it, there was loads of food - generous portions, spring rolls and crackers, and it all came warm and on time. I highly recommend Chawp Pet Noi and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Best takeaway Thai food I've found in the country!! Not eaten in yet but looks great and always full. Now it's authentic so heat in some dishes is fierce but ask and they will mod. (UP too 🥵 😁) pork belly is almost black pungent and totally wonderful! Only ever had that taste in Thailand. Worth the pound Extra per dish for the upgrade. Parking the usual Pollokshaws Rd rubbishment, but park off Waverly Rd next to Co-op if you can.

Gran servicio y parece un buen lugar para comer en sin embargo debido al tamaño mejor reservar por delante, se conformó con comida para llevar que estaba bien envuelto y lo hizo a casa intacto. Proper Thai food on the Southside at last! Look past the curries (even though they are superb) Pad Kra Pao is my favourite Thai dish Best I’ve had outside of Thailand Authentic Som Tam & Pork Laab Pad Thai perfect Just fantastic food!

Asked for spicy spicy green curry and it was amazing. I lived in Polynesia for a while and miss spicy Asian food. They definitely hit the spot for spicy delicious.

Excellent authentic Thai food, the best I’ve had in Scotland!

Amazing actual real Thai food, not the usual chicken in sweet chilli sauce masquerading as Thai food from your local Chinese takeaway! Also easier to pick healthier options eg the green papaya salad or smashed cucumber, but all of the dishes seem to have a lot less oil than other takeaways. No dishes have disappointed, quick service,, they've never forgotten a dish. There's a great atmosphere on collection, staff very friendly.

Ordered takeaway and the meal was delicious. The Pad Thai is very tasty and they also seemed very knowledgeable about different allergens as I called to mention I'm coeliac/require gluten free. Great to have another safe and delicious restaurant to order from!

This place is so so good! My mum is Thai so it’s very hard to find good thai food in Glasgow. This is the most authentic place I’ve i’ve found yet and i’ll definitely be taking her soon! Everything I had was amazing and tasted just like home !!!

Have sat in and had this food delivered and both ways it’s absolutely incredible. I recommend the chicken wings and the pad kee mao. It’s absolutely perfect comfort food and they’re amazing at delivery so don’t fear!

Having been to Thailand 9 times and recently returning in April this young man cooks food as good as anything I have eaten in Thailand if not better. My partner who is Thai asked can we go back tomorrow and trust me she normally never finishes most Thai meals in this country she also asked the young man to make it spicy for her and she told me it's the first time she can remember it happening in this country in years. Basically it was excellent and if I lived in this area it would be my one and only choice .

Best Thai food I have had in the UK since being in Thailand. The pork belly was excellent, that said every other course was always extremely enjoyable. Reasonably priced and nice staff. Smashing it.

The food was fine but it’s not Thai! I ordered Northern Sausage and Pad kra pao and was disappointed I don’t mind if you call something else in new name but this is not what I order for. Northern Sausage flavor more like Indian style and Pad krapao is totally NOT same as original no holy basil in it and full of oil!! So i’m sure this is not a Thai chef we don’t cook like this.

10/10 Couldn’t pick a favourite, If in the area! Do check it out. They do not disappoint 💪

Fantastic takeaway. The red fish curry and green chicken curry were flavoursome and delicious.

Just had the most delicious takeaway! Very generous portions and amazing flavours. Friendly service too. Thoroughly recommend the Khao Soi - juicy chicken in a simmering, warming broth (slightly spicy but incredible).

Ordered food which arrived late but was tasty enough. Was missing key dish (my partners meal), and they said they would bring right down, unfortunately think they were too busy to do this. Giving 4 stars as the service to sort it out afterwards was very good and I respect that a lot! Think it was just a case of too many orders on a Friday night.

Amazing dining experience, the dishes truly made me feel like I was back in Thailand. Visited this place on Thursday night and returned on Friday - best Thai food in Glasgow!

Ordered a delivery through Uber eats, can’t leave a glowing review there so wanted to make sure this place gets the recognition it deserves!! Food was delivered 30 mins ahead of the time Uber suggested 🤯🤩 and everything was fantastic! Top marks to the chef and the delivery guy! I’ll defo be ordering again!

Food was delicious - one of the best pad thais I've ever had. A few problems with the online delivery service. The food was over an hour late in arriving - we had to phone to find out what was going on with the order. The person I spoke to on the other end was really lovely and apologetic and did give us some complimentary drinks and crackers which was a lovely gesture. When the food did arrive, however, it was missing one of the main meals which was a disappointment. Next time, I think we'll stick to visiting in person rather than using the online delivery service.

Was expecting this place to be good as I enjoy Thai food, there's lots of nice places to eat nearby and it was high rated. Was looking forward to the meal. We got 3 dishes, the massaman curry, a chicken wing starter and a chicken noodle dish, can't remember the exact names. Decent portion sizes but lacking in taste, not very flavorful for east Asian cuisine. We ended up just chucking the noodles too whereas usually we'd save any left overs. Surprised it was so poor. Staff were nice and friendly, the place looks good from the outside. Wouldn't go back unfortunately. There's a authentic Chinese in Langside called "The Real Wan" that's pretty good, also a decent Italian takeaway called Piado (I think), they're much better value for money.

So good! Ordered delivery and the food came on time and was well packaged and arrived hot. Really good menu - we ordered four dishes and loved them all. Will be back!

We were welcomed by a lovely lady, who was an amazing host! We had the pleasure to try the Yum Nua, Pad Krapao and the Gai Tod Hat Yai. Everything was cooked to perfection and our dishes were pleasantly spicy! The chicken was so crispy and the stir fried minced chicken was engulfed into this delicious sauce. The salad was fresh and the steak was juicy. The portions are generous so order wisely, but if you are a foodie like me and you order more than you can handle, you can always take it home with you! My new favourite Thai place outside of Thailand!

My partner and I ordered collection from here today, and I can't say enough good things. Absolutely delicious. I can't fairly assess the atmosphere as we didn't sit in, but it seemed nice, friendly and casual while still being professional. Everything we ordered was fantastic. A special shout-out to the corn fritters and pork belly dishes, which were my favourites. I expect in the near future we'll be looking in the fridge before turning to each other and saying "Chawp Pet Noi?" I've eaten in Michelin-starred restaurants and this is easily some of the best food in Glasgow.

Wonderful staff who were so friendly and didn't seem flustered on a very busy night with lots of orders coming their way. Unfortunately, the food was a huge letdown. Pad See Ew is not traditionally a spicy dish, which makes it a reliable thing for someone like me with a lot of food sensitivity to order, and mine not only didn't even come with the broccoli advertised, it came with tons and tons and tons of chili mixed all throughout and then more on top. It wasn't advertised as spicy at all on the menu, and I wasn't able to eat it at all, which meant I spent money on a dinner I wasn't able to eat.

Staff were excellent and sorted an issue with a missed main dish on the order. Food was alright. Pork belly dish was well cooked and tasty though sauce was a bit too sweet. Ordered sai au which was described as Northern Chiang mai style sausage and it was £8 for a single banger that tasted like a regular sausage with an Asian style dip. Chicken satay portion was generous though meat used was breast rather than fatty meat used in street food in SEA, and sauce was not authentic. Spiciness of Pad krapao could be increased as it has the highest spice rating on the menu but wasn't very spicy. Minimal seating for maybe 3 people, small bar table with high stools.

We’ll have to say walked in and not a Thai person in sight was a bit sceptical. Boy was I wrong! Delivered everything I would expect. I stay in Thailand and back for work and this is as authentic as I have tasted in Glasgow. The big chains and restaurants were a let down for me. Don’t get me wrong they had flavour but none as good as this one. Spoke to the chef and the staff were top notch. Anyone looking for great food at a great price this is my number 1 recommendation. I will certainly be back again and again. Cheers guys and I asked for my Pad karprao P̄hĕd māk māk (very very spicy) and yes he delivered!! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🇹🇭

Wish I could rate this place more than 5 stars, everything from the food to service was amazing. Their red curry is absolutely delicious, fresh and authentic flavours. Staff are extremely lovely and sweet. 100% recommend!!

We've been eagerly awaiting this place to open after being on holiday in Thailand a couple of months ago. Well, it's the real deal, authentic tastes, rich flavours – we had the Bangkok sweetcorn fritters, tom yum goong, beef massaman and moo grob makham which were all fantastic. Eagerly awaiting for Chawp Pet Noi to open its doors after a recent trip to Thailand and it did not disapoint! The place looks suave with a two tone black and wood finish and the staff were very welcoming. The food was quality and authentic. Keep your eye out for the thai red bull in the fridge, something I never thought id see again and there they were! Something to grab on your way to Queens Park on a sunny day. I will definately be back to explore some more of the menu. khàawp-khun kháp
