Little pricier but best pad thai I’ve ever had (don’t have a ton of experience with Thai food tho)

This is regarding the disposal of waste from this shop. Black yard full of food bags causing vermin. Clean it up please. or you will be reported to health and safety.Also brushing cigarette butts to each side of tenants doorways. All you food bowls as well.

Upon turning up for lunch today can you imagine our surprise. We were greeted by the most wonderful members of staff outside who informed us that the restaurant, that morning, had been closed for good. We were so sad to hear this news as Thai Siam was a favourite restaurant of ours, consistently great food and a perfect ambience. We were in shock so lots of hugs were needed as the staff here had been so good to us over the years they almost felt like family 😔. We really hope that the team find a new venture and that it is accessible to the people who will really miss it. Good luck everyone, we will miss you 😢.

Generous portion, tasty and fast service.

Tasty. Warm. Comfortable. Great service. Waiters have a sense of humour. Recommend the ribs and number 46 because I can’t remember what it was or how to pronounce it but it was very nice.

Managed to get a seat for three, last minute. Pleasant staff and food was nice. Very busy, so great atmosphere.

Papaya salad was ok, green curry was not good. Overall experience is not recommended.

I for one really enjoyed the food here, and the service was impeccable. We were seated and served within 15 mins. My pork was unbelievable, and the rice was delicious. Sadly, my partner was not as much of a fan. Her corn fritters were rather rich and her satay chicken was not the same as she usually orders from Chinese restaurants (We understand Thai and Chinese Satay may be different in taste, we merely want to highlight this to others who are under the same mindset that they will taste the same). Overall, I would go back. Couldn't commend the service any higher!

Nothing special. The food was average, the service was average but the bill was very high. Over £120 for 3 of us and we only had 2 courses and one drink each. 10% service charge as well!

Family run restaurant... such delicious food and humble atmosphere... was travelling for work and had a night where I went out for food on my own... I felt so at home... my food was so delicious that I cleared out the bowls for food that would have fed 2 people... was recommended the dishes according to my pallet. If I ever go back ... this would be the Thai for me to have 🤤🙏

Cracking authentic food and not too expensive in the midst of overpriced bars and eateries, very pleasant atmosphere and staff very happy and helpful !

We visit regularly & we're always amazed at the consistently high standard of food & service. You always get a warm welcome & staff go above & beyond. The food is just perfect. It looks amazing & the level of detail is fabulous. The flavours work well together but nothing is over powering. Highly recommended.

We visited on Saturday afternoon without booking, the restaurant was quite busy we had no trouble getting a table. The staff were very friendly and efficient,. The food was excellent, the mixed platter starter was very good. A selection of Asian beers also available, great Thai, no complaints.

Disappointing tonight. I used to go to the Paisley branch of Thai Siam before it closed down and it was excellent and reasonably priced. Tonight I went to this one for a takeaway and got a Thai green prawn curry with rice which was a whopping £24. I got the food home and couldn’t believe the curry container was only half full, although the rice container was full. Nothing had leaked. So for £20 I got a half full container of prawn curry. It tasted great but that’s a crazy price for a few bites. Won’t be going back unless I win the lottery and get a gastric band.

My wife and I were not sure what to expect being new in town. We normally check reviews but decided to take a chance since we both love Thai food. Glad we did! Excellent and friendly service and the food was incredibly good! Don't hesitate. Give this place a try. You likely won't regret it!

The food is great. The people who work here are so nice and so much fun. And to top it off its reasonably priced. What more could you want 🤔

Foods are authentic as I ate in Thailand. Staffs are extremely friendly.

We ordered a martini for 2.95 lbs. The manager gave us an eyedroppers worth of fluid. I confronted him and he ignored me. It was like an SNL skit. If the price was too cheap, raise the price. But this was a complete "you know what show".

Absolutely loved it - the waiter was very kind and friendly and recommended food for us, and checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, and the food came extremely quickly - plus it was genuinely absolutely unbelievably delicious, we were so full afterwards because couldn't stop ourselves finishing all the food. I would sell my soul to eat the sticky rice again it was stunning 10/10 recommend :D

Went in on a busy day, spontaneously. Guy up front asked if we had a reservation and I said no. He looked around and said, "That's ok, we can fit you in somewhere." They gave us a nice table--and not even one hidden in the back. The food was amazing, complimentary shrimp were great, and the starter was delectable. Would recommend all day, everyday.

Regularly, we visit this restaurant, and I've like the previous review I found it has become very expensive I also accept that there has been a massive increase in produce and utilities. I can see that by doing my own shopping and my increased utility bills at home It does serve some really nice authentic Thai food, and it's always consistent It's getting more like you only get what you pay for quality costs, money. I will still support the restaurant

Used to love coming here when we lived In the west end but unfortunately we were seriously overcharged on this visit. Ordered 2 orange juices, one sparkling water, one Fanta, (no alcohol) one chicken satay starter, one chicken chow mien starter, one Creamy curry chicken main, one sea bass main, one coconut rice side, one sticky rice side and the bill came to £95.70!!! To top it off the chicken satay and chow mien were so processed we couldn’t eat them but that may be due to personal preference. The sea bass was lovely. Very well cooked and is expensive to order anywhere but this still didn’t justify the cost. I fully understand that costs have gone up recently and that affects prices but we were literally in the restaurant 45mins in total. Used to be a favourite but sad to say we won’t be back.

Absolutely fantastic service. They went out of their way to quickly fix an error made by a third party app I’d placed my order through. The food was also delicious!

(EDIT May 2023: Beware of hidden 10% compulsory service charge now applied to all tables. Can't tolerate dishonest businesses. Won't be back.) Had dinner here a few times, with my partner; family friends; relatives. There is consistent quality in the dishes served, and the menu is just about diverse enough. Staff mostly friendly, though can be forgetful on occasions. The place may feel a little cramped but this didn't affect my experience. There is a compulsory 10% surcharge for parties of 6 or more - this might be written down somewhere, but it certainly wasn't mentioned at time of booking and we only found out about it when the bill arrived. On that occasion, the table was asked to be returned in 90 minutes, again not mentioned at time of booking. Could consider for small gatherings. Would recommend for diners who only cares about the actual food.

We asked if the starter at 24 quid was enough for 4 of us the waiter said yes when we got the bill they’d charge us Double for starter so fifty quid we argued this but lwas told I was a cock on he way out after we refused to pay that amount , total rip off merchants avoid at all cost

Very tasty food but found hair in my massaman curry. Also got charged £1 for per takeaway plastic container. Lunch set has increased in price and the price on menu is pre- compulsory service charge. Was immediately served prawn crackers in a basket on sitting down but it costs £2. Waitress was lovely.

I was in Glasgow on business and decided to eat here on my first night. My initial experience was quite poor. I felt that I was being Stereotyped. As I entered the restaurant, the staff looked at me confused and believed me to be a deliveroo / delivery driver a I am a turban wearing sikh. What seemed to confuse them more was me asking for a table for one. The food was decent and one young female member of staff was great! Hence the 3 stars.

So I’ve order here before, the food is great! I was absolutely speechless when I went to pick up my order and saw it cost £76.50. This was for 2 people. No prices on the website and I ordered red curry with sea bass which I was charged £25 for. I understand the price of things has went up but I am a chef and I know that that is a rip off!

I walked in on a very busy night 140223, without booking, and was fitted in as a solo diner. The food was amazing and just like being back in Thailand. The service was fast and lots of people to serve you.

Nice but very expensive ( overpriced)

Was looking for food before attending a concert at the OVO Hydro Glasgow. We had not pre-booked anywhere which we now realise was a huge mistake as we got knocked back from about 4 places before we finally arrived at Thai Siam. We are actually thankful that we got the knock back from everywhere as as Thia Siam was delicious! Thankfully as we came in a table of two was leaving the full-to-the brim restaurant. We had to wait 5 minutes until the left and the table was prepared for us but we received complimentary prawn crackers. Once seated we were immediately asked for any drinks. Service was very fast. We both ordered the Sweet and Sour chicken stir fry with a side of sticky rice and noodles (both extra charge). My review on food 9.5/10 Partners review 9/10 Loss of points only due to having tasted 1 other place slightly better while on holiday, it stays in our heart forever! None the less this place is a very close second with me absolutely loving it. There was a small mix up with the order as we were given a steamed and sticky rice instead of the sticky rice and noodles like we ordered. This was dealt with with no hassle and no extra cost , we were just given fresh noodles and they were perfect. A lovely authentic Thai place to visit for sure if visiting this area of Glasgow :)

This was our favourite restaurant for Thai food. Collected a take away today - price for a prawn stir fry 20 pounds and you get only 6 prawns quality was poor - taste was not good as before. Both stir fry dishes were disappointing portion sizes very small. Will think twice before I visit again. Andy

The best and most authentic Thai food in Glasgow. Super friendly team and just like Thailand I lived there for 4 years (Thailand, not Thai Siam!) and the food and service here is 10 star.

We stopped in without a reservation during an evening that happened to be very busy. The staff graciously squeezed us in since we were there early so we ate and didn't linger to free up the table. We were there just a few days before Christmas and were glad to see that nearly all of the staff had some sort of festive attire, including ugly jumpers. We had the Holy Basil stir fry with chicken and the Khao Soi Gai, which were both very good.

This place was a favourite of ours pre lockdown. First visit in a while and disappointed. Food and service were just ok. Needs to refocus on what it used to be as there is huge competition right on its doorstep

Service was abrupt. Presented with dirty menu. Decorated like somewhere from the 1980s. Lighting was terrible like someone had left the the big light on. My “chicken” satay had a horrible texture, overall just tasted horrible. Sticky rice had pungent smell. Other chicken dish, chicken...

Love the food here. Stir fry with holy basil is very spicy but amazing. For days when I feel like less heat the stirfry with ginger is great. The red and green curries are also amazing as is the coconut rice to go with them. The prawn crackers are the thai kind that taste great rather than the puffy bland kind. The tom yum and tom kha soups are tangy and a little hot and delicious. I’ve been going for years and they’re always friendly and everything I’ve had has been really tasty.

Unbelievable Thai food! It’s soooooooo good! We have a lot of Thai food and this may have been the best we have had. The staff here was also so sweet. Highly recommend!

The food is good but expensive. Be aware that if you place a takeaway order when it's busy, you could have a less than positive experience. In spite of asking if a bag that was brought out was for me (it was) I was told to wait whilst my food ended up sitting there for just under 15 minutes whilst I sat patiently next to it. We had to microwave our food when we got home. Not a great service for such a high priced takeaway.

Excellent food, 2 course lunch on a Saturday, the meal was great, tasty and value for money and we will be back if we are in the neighbourhood again.
