It was a great experience to celebrate birthday with family at la fonda. Food was tasty and the portion size was great. David was very helpful and he served our table amazingly. Assunta Connor Me and my husband usually attend the brilliant music night on Sunday's. Last night we arrived early with my sister as she had never been before. She was hungry as we had been out all day with her...(she is recovering from a serious illness). We went upstairs hoping we could have a meal as we hadn't booked. We got a nice table for the three of us. We ordered 3 different dishes with rice accompaniments but when mine and my sisters arrived the dishes were not recognisable as the descriptions of the dishes on the menu. I had scanned the menu carefully to find a meal that wasn't too spicy and chose the one described as "milder curry with mixed vegetables and pineapple and my sisters chosen dish contained bamboo shoots which she loves ....both dishes contained neither of the ingredients described. My curry was extremely hot and I tried to eat it with streaming eyes and burning lips. I had ordered steamed rice but sticky rice came which was clumped together and tough. The egg fried rice that my husband and sister ordered was fine and they gave me some of theirs. I was not charged for my rice. My husband ordered ribs and the large rib of the 3 he got was solid bone with hardly any meat on it. He enjoyed the other ribs on his plate. We must have come on the wrong night. The one waitress who was on her own was extremely busy with orders and bringing up drinks from bar downstairs. Felt sorry for her actually ! It was when we started to eat the meal we realised we hadn't got what we ordered. In retrospect I should have sent my dish back but struggled on with it with the help of the good egg fried rice from my husbands and sisters plate ! My sister quite enjoyed hers although it had no bamboo shoots in it but she finished it as she was extremely hungry. We went downstairs to enjoy the music as usual and my sister enjoyed her first musical experience there. She said she wouldn't eat upstairs again though but would be back again with us for the music !

Popped in to find they had a all you can eat tapas Menu on all dishes tasted really nice great service and most probably go back next ti.e we are in the area. Highly recommended.

Something tempted me to pop in to Meson La Pepa last Saturday lunchtime. I was the only person dining to start with but it quickly got busy. Three very good portions of tapas: tortilla, patatas bravas and tostada de queso de cabra. Fast; friendly service; excellent price - £13. Money very well spent and a great introduction to Huddersfield.

Gone down hill, sadly. Rarely open, no food, no staff, no vibe. Hopefully, it will soon change hands again. Currently, it is seemingly shut down.

Great food, wine, excellent service and consistently very good. We have been numerous times. It always feels like a real treat and we always look forward to going, each time we book.

Had bottomless brunch. My friend was very happy with the Sangria and I enjoyed lots of fizz. I enjoyed the calamari, truffle fries and chicken thighs. Lovely, helpful staff- especially as we were late. Thank you Millie, Sophie,Dan and Isla👍

What a fantastic find on the mezzanine of the newly renovated market hall on a damp March afternoon in Scarborough!! A little taste of Spanish cuisine and wine in a fab venue at incredible prices with a very lovely proprietor. Whilst we didn’t have the time to do so, we loved that you can also buy excellent looking wines from the shop and enjoy in situ for only £4 corkage if you want to enjoy something different to the delicious house Rioja. If we lived in Scarborough, it would become a favourite haunt. Hope to be back again soon.

We popped in here for lunch whilst in the area and ordered 2 mixed gyros and a can of fanta. We sat inside and waited about 15 mins but it was freshly cooked, and was absolutely delicious. It was stuffed full with meat, salad, sauce and chips and at £6 was an absolute bargain! We live at the other side of Sheffield but I'll definitely be travelling across again!

We were bought a voucher for Xmas & I booked a table on the 6th Feb for the bottomless brunch. When we arrived the restaurant was closed & the bar next door said they had closed for good a few weeks ago! Beware if you are booking this restaurant as they are still advertising as open & taking bookings.

Great service and absolutely amazing food, really friendly waiting staff. We had the charcuterie board and bread platter as a starter and there was so much on it! So many different flavours. The Jambalaya packed with seafood. The churros sooo tasty and fresh. It was a really pleasurable experience. Thank you Qubana!!
