Great food, wine, excellent service and consistently very good. We have been numerous times. It always feels like a real treat and we always look forward to going, each time we book.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. This place is the best place to round if you want decent Tapas and great service.

We knew what to expect from Punch Bar & Tapas as we were told we were booked for 7.00pm. We were greeted by friendly staff and asked to wait while our table was prepared so we had a drink. We had a great selection of Tapas for four of us, the table was totally covered. Excellent food, starters of bread with the dips. Delicious tapas, great service. Compliments to the chef. What a treat for my wife and I. Recommend a visit.

We frequently visit Punch, not just because it's local but because the food is genuinely SO good. We were here for New Years Eve and the whole experience was lovely- food was amazing as always.

Amazing visits over the Christmas period! Can’t fault the customer service, came after the menu changed for the festive period and they removed something I was really looking forward to, once I said this in passing to the waiter they checked with the kitchen and they still had the ingredients to make it! I couldn’t believe how above and beyond he went it will not be forgotten and I can’t wait to come back in the new year!

Never been to Punch before, so was very pleasantly surprised upon arrival how nice it looked and we were quickly shown to our seats. The decor is really nice and there's a good atmosphere. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious with some very interesting and new (to us) dishes as well as the standard tapas favourites. We'll definitely be going again and I can highly recommend a visit.

Great meal here again, we come regularly and the food is consistently fab every time. So many tasty things to chose from and every dish was spot on. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Can’t fault it and we’ll be back again!

Lovely food and attentive service. Ordered a glass of wine but sent back as glass had lipstick smear on it - no biggie, replaced immediately with an apology. However replacement wine had large amount of sediment in bottom of glass, luckily noticed it before I drank it. Pointed it out politely to waitress, and cashier when we paid, (both asked if everything had been okay), a little disappointed with their non committal response. Didn't notice until after we left that we had been charged twice for olives which we ordered for one as "nibbles" - again no biggie as it was only a couple of quid, just a bit annoying but my bad for not checking. We both really enjoyed the food and would happily return but would probably not order red wine and would check bill before paying.

Visited this place with high hopes after reading the reviews but left very disappointed. Food quality was very poor, not sure I have ever been to a Tapas place where they had bad Patatas Bravas but they managed it here. Nothing about the food was fresh, some dishes were not portioned for sharing and it was overpriced. Definitely won't be returning!

My friend and I visited last week for tea and despite not having been for a while it was still as lovely as when we last managed to come over a year ago. The food was really tasty, big portions and great value for money, we were shown the menu section with the 3 for 2 tapas and shared churros for pudding so authentic we may aswell have been sat in a cafe outside La Sagrada Familia! The team were fantastic, attentive and friendly. Massive thank you to Chef Annie for the delicious food, we look forward to coming again.

We have eaten here on many occasions and every experience has been fantastic. The food is consistently tasty and the staff are super helpful and friendly! They even allow us to bring our puppy who loves to cosy up by the fire in the bar area. We’ll back again soon! Thanks guys x

Punch have been offering free meals to NHS workers, throughout the Covid 19 lockdown, so deserve a huge thank you. The food they have been offering has been superb. The Mediterranean flavours are stunning and, presented with a very warm and friendly smile. We had never been to, Punch before, but it is the first restaurant we will be visiting when we are allowed to do so. Mid range prices for superb food makes this a must visit place. Thank you, Punch, for looking after our NHS workers. We look forward to seeing you again, soon

We had a takeout on may 13th in lockdown... It came very well presented with clear instructions It took 15 mins to heat in the oven The food was absolutely beautiful

We had a delicious takeaway last night from Punch. Ordered by phone last week and collected on Saturday afternoon - swift and easy to pay by contactless. Heated everything up in the oven, along with fresh, tasty flatbread, dripping with garlic butter - thoroughly enjoyed! We had one of each dish and I think they are changing the menu fortnightly so we will be ordering again next week! Really loved the dhal and bhajis, chicken pasta and beef massaman. And the kids' favourite was the sausage cassoulet. Didn't feel like a takeaway, felt like a restaurant meal. Thank you!

Thank you so much for everything you are doing for our amazing NHS staff...this evening we picked up a meal for two (option 1), we thoroughly enjoyed the meatballs, sautéed potato and red onion gravy. The food was good. We ordered 2 breads, 6 tapas meals and 2 sides for a table of 3. Drinks took a long time to come - first lot of food arrived before the drinks. Something about the atmosphere was lacking - the restaurant was quite busy and music was playing, but something was missing. We thought it was overpriced for what it was.

We were a party of 7 diners, we ordered a mix of the usual tapas. Some were good and some were average, many dishes were over salted and dry. Good service, although we were never offered drinks and we had to go to the bar. Atmosphere and decor are good.

Lovely surprise to find Punch is now doing Sunday lunch. Half the party had tapas and a couple tried the new offering. Fabulous food, rare beef, tasty veg and well cooked potatoes. Waiting staff friendly, particularly Hannah. Though not too much.

This was our second visit to Punch for food and we were really impressed with the good range of vegetarian options. There were plenty to choose from and we’ll be back to try the rest soon. Booking online was easy and service was good throughout.

We have eaten here many times - as a family with 2 young children, as a couple and with mates and it is always fantastic!The food is wonderful with regularly changing menus. Tapas with a bit of a twist! The cheese and meat platters are delicious and the kids food is good too. Cocktails and sangria and lovely too - good selection of wines and beer.The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are lovely. Very friendly and accommodating and brill with kids.We love it here and will come back many times again!

Great service and delicious food. They were so busy the week before Christmas, we were walk-ins, they kindly have us a reserved table as the people weren’t due for an Hour and we wanted small, quick meal. The prawns were my favourite dish, the complimentary dip was also yummy.

Booked for Christmas eve, service very good. The menu was limited for a tapas restaurant. The food was good but not exceptional. The evening spoiled slightly by the final bill. I would expected to have paid (and have paid in similar restaurants) £50-60 for the same fare not £75 and as a result we won't be returning.

Friends invited us for tapas here and I'm afraid the food was very disappointing. The lamb was mush the paella overcooked rubber prawn . Chips cooked in old oil .

Dined here whilst treating ourselves to an overnight stay nearby Tapas is delicious and highly recommend. Some nice individual creations and great cocktails. Staff could not do enough and very friendly. Highly recommend

Hubby and I came last night and it was perfect in every way. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being in your face. Fantastic food, all superb. My favourite was deep fried aubergine yum. Our first visit and already planning the next. One piece of advice, wear something warm

This was a first visit and won’t be the last! The menu is comprehensive and whilst offering an extensive tapas choice, there were also more substantive paella and platter options. We chose 6 tapas dishes (they do an offer on tapas but there are limits on the dish choices) and without exception each one was phenomenal! The freshness, flavours, ingenuity and presentation were incredible. Service was friendly and efficient.

Love going here for tapas food is diverse and very taste THE Only downfall is you only get a table for an hour and a half but I suppose it proves it popular. If you like a mix of small dishes this place is for you.

Friends had booked this restaurant based on their own experience, and it was an excellent choice. The staff were friendly and efficient, and we had a lovely meal. Our friends' advice was to choose three options each, then share each dish around. I thought I'd be clever and ordered a fourth option, which turned out to be just a step too far - each dish was a substantial offering, beautifully cooked and presented, and three dishes each is a sensible and plentiful option. Everything was wonderful, and made for a memorable evening. Highly recommended!

I wish there was a ‘good’ option as this place is above ‘average’ but I wouldn’t go as far as ‘very good’! The portion size was good, the food was tasty and the staff were friendly. I liked the decor with Spanish memorabilia around but wish the music was a little more in keeping with the style of restaurant as that would add to the atmosphere. The prices were what I would expect for this type of food and in this location. If I am in the area again I would certainly return.

We attended the Punch Bar after the Wine Athalon. The staff were very friendly and happy to help in our recovery. Bottomless brunch was extremely tasty and our hostess with the mostess Ishka was amazing and kept us watered and fed all afternoon. Thanks too all the staff, we had the best time ❤❤

I visited the Punch Bar and Tapas bar with my wife, daughters, their boyfriends and our dog (dogs are welcome in the bar area) and found the food to be superb and great tasting. In our party we had meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans and the Punch Bar caters for all with a good amount of choice too and the chef also created something special for my vegan daughters. We ordered from the Rapido menu which is offered before 9pm on Monday and before 6pm other week days, so value for money was excellent. The service was also really good with friendly and polite staff and the food was served quickly. I would definitely recommend eating at the Punch Bar & Tapas and will certainly visit again when in the area.

But very glad we came back. We had the Rapido menu which is served weekdays before 6pm. 5 tapas and 2 sides for £25. Excellent portion sizes and really good food. Service also very good.

Had a great night out at Punch with friends. Food was as fantastic as ever, good choice of beers and Wayne and the team were really welcoming. Had 8 dishes plus sides between 4 of us, and just about finished them. Finished off with a couple of beers next door in Krafty, great night.

We had a small ‘company’ get together the other night and it was excellent....lots of things to share amongst the 5 of us and it was all good. Belly Pork excellent, prawns excellent...everything excellent.

Way over rated and over priced. Get a few beers in and get fish and chips or just eat . NOW..According to this site I need to say more than 101 for it to register... BIG MISTAKE. This is only more proof to dismiss this woefully poor dinning experience to the black hole of time and pretend it never happened.

Iv’e dined here many times now, i always leave feeling very happy with the food. However feel like the staff could be more attentive at times.

Excellent Food one of if not the best tapas bars we have visited, the staff were very friendly and the service was second to none

The food and service is spot on and the flavours in the food is exceptional. I have been here a few times now and always enjoyed it however on this occasion the steak wasn’t as nice as it has been previously. I believe it used to come with a blue cheese however this time it was very sweet from the caramelised onions and there was no flavour from the sauce also I would prefer the steak medium it was a bit over cooked but we still ate. The sweet potato fries were quite greasy so I didn’t eat these but others in our party did. The staff allowed us to have our usual prawns in batter although this is not something they offer on the menu, We have potato bravas, belly pork, chicken thighs, chorizo, sweet potato fries, steak, prawns in batter, halloumi fries. Every dish was presented well and other than the couple of things noted above we really did enjoy the whole meal. The wine selection is also good here and I found that all the staff were helpful. Although the waitress said we had over ordered and said she would cut the order in half I asked her not to as not only had we had a long journey we had all starved ourselves in prep for this meal. I understand she was trying to be helpful but honestly its down to the customers how much they want to order and eat and honestly there was not a thing left we ate the lots as I knew we would. I will definitely dine here again when we next visit Honley and would recommend. I only wish they would bring back the pulled pork dish with French fries, fried egg and alioi as this is delicious and a dish I would always order.

I went here with my daughter for a mother's day treat, it was lovely, a special afternoon tea, with prosecco!! Great food, tapas dishes, and little cakes /deserts made locally (wired, coffee & cake) all with live music, a great friendly atmosphere, absolutely buzzing afternoon,with families, a definite must, I'm hoping I get to go again next mothers day!!!

Went for the first time with friends on a Saturday night. We had a high table for 4 near the door but it was like having our own little booth. I'm not normally a fan of tapas as usually the portion sizes are pretty small but that wasn't the case here. The choice was good with specials. Everything we had was delicious. The belly pork was tender and crispy, the mussels were good. We couldn't find fault in anything. The only constructive comment I would say is to have the dishes better labelled in terms of dairy free etc. I would definitely come here again and wish we had something like this in town!

When we sat down the waitress told us, firmly, we had the (pre-booked) table for 90 minutes; that made us feel under pressure.

First off, I am a massive supporter of local businesses. We very rarely eat in chain restaurants and like to get behind local restaurants and having heard such good reviews about this place I had been dying to try it. Booked well in advance so there was an element of excited anticipation prior to visiting. For the food some of the dishes were nice such as the chorizo and some of them were OK all in all it was probably just above average and having gone with 5 friends whom some had been before they said that the previous menu had better dishes and had a great experience which is a little frustrating. The deserts weren’t great and I was left disappointed. Th MAIN thing is that the service was bloody awful. Some guests arrived earlier than others but were sat and not offered a drink, when we finally got to order drinks some of the order was forgotten (ok it happens) so we waited at the bar and collected them ourselves as the waiting staff were nowhere to be seen. We then ended up back at the bar THREE times for more drinks. If you are going to work in the hospitality industry you have to have that front of house smile, we didn’t see one. Apologies were lacking. We would have ordered more food but when the plates were cleared sometime later we were delivered the pudding menu speech, so it was a little too late to start asking for more tapas. I will try again another time and hope for a better experience.

Been a little while since last visit and the quality of the food has changed it’s got better. Very good tastes and portion sizes. Well worth a visit

Visited as a large group of friends to celebrate two birthdays. We took our own large Thornton’s chocolate cake and candles.

The team at work decided to mix it up a little this year and we chose tapas at a local place (and fellow Honley Business Association Member) instead of a traditional Christmas meal.

Visited mid week and can highly recommend. Food was good lost to choose from, we had 6 dishes between two of us and each one was great. The staff were friendly and helpful running through the menu but a little slow at serving us but wasn't a big issue. Will definitely be going again very soon.

We visited yesterday for a Saturday lunch with family, we all had dishes off the lunch rapido menu and I can highly recommend the value and choice.

We visit here regularly but not been for 2 months. We went on Sunday evening and was informed they no longer do the 3 for 2 but had an offer with wine. Neither of us drink wine and told no substitutes allowed. We believe the new menu now offers less choice compared to previous visits. We have mentioned previously how good the chips in the basket were but now you get half the portion in a tiny bowl but they charge the same price. The waitress even stated that is the most complained about item sine the change. Please go back to the basket and larger portion.

Gorgeous food as always. 8 dishes for 4 of us. Love this place and right on my doorstep. My parents love visiting me just to go for the tapas. Highly recommended

I came over from Leeds on Saturday night with the Mrs and friends and was blown away. Being a true Yorkshireman I had to see the best restraunt in Yorkshire! (I’m lying..I had no idea it was the best restaurant in Yorkshire and was over to see friends who live in Huddersfield who suggested it). However me and the mrs where blown away! Food was delicious, cocktails were funky(we tried most of the menu pretty much). The atmosphere was just buzzing and all the staff had smiles on their faces. We really noticed that. We had particularly great chats with Tylor behind the bar and another young girl who served our food whose name we didn’t catch. Credits to Garreth and the management as they seem to have a cool, modern yet professional way of running things. We will definitely be back despite the distance! The only thing we would have changed would be sitting nearer the kitchen as we always enjoy to watch the chefs! Cheers, James

Difficult to get booked in as it's quite small.Its friendly place and I like seeing the cooking in the kitchen.The girls were knowledgeable about the number of tapas to get and I'd recommend the lamb chops,chorizo lollipops and pheasant meatballs.I thought the crab could do with a bit more crab and they were a bit floury. The aoli potatoes were disappointingly soft.

Came a month ago and had a good experience. Tonight was disappointing. Service ‘officious ‘ and inexperienced. Food variable. Some good, some poor. Shame, was meant to be a birthday celebration but won’t rush back.

We’ve been here for drinks later on in the evening before but never eaten despite living in Honley. Last night we ate here for the first time and we wished we had eaten here before! Absolutely fabulous food. Can recommend the belly pork! The sweet potato fries were great and my partner loved his steak onglais. It was busy and the atmosphere loud but friendly. Mixture of clientele from young through to older. Service was good although busy and the staff worked hard. Definitely will be heading back!

A friend had recommended Honley as an upcoming place on the pub scene. We only went in here for a drink, but after looking at the menu, and talking to the friendly staff we decided to give the tapas a go. Now I must point out, that my experience of tapas has been very disappointing, so I was a little worried that we would have another poor experience but I am pleased to say the tapas was fabulous, well worth the price tag. The atmosphere was great too, go check it out for yourselves.

Best Tapas I've ever had. I have eaten a lot of tapas in my time, especially in Spain and punch bar and tapas beats anywhere hands down. The choice is amazing. We always leave uncomfortably full and completely skint because we have to order everything! My tip is, order one dish less than you think you should and order the chocolate brownie at the end it's delicious!

This is a great restaurant, the tapas is delicious and is great value for money. If you take your receipt to the bar next door you get a discount on your drinks (I think 15%). Well worth a visit.

It’s always great to see local businesses thriving however our visit to Punch last night was nothing short of chaotic. We had tried to go the Krafty Kettle next door for a pre-meal drink however when discovering it was closed for a private function - something which only seemed to have been ‘advertised’ 2 hours before and we had therefore missed- we went to Punch and presumably because of next door being closed, the Punch bar was absolutely heaving.

We visited on a Friday night, love the vibe and food was great. Food service was really good and the food very nice.

Myself and my partner are vegan so we were looking forwards to the vegan options on the menu. The selection was quite good and we settled on 6 suitable options. We also had the vegan brownie which was delicious! My only issue was that the food was brought out stagard when it was ready, rather than bringing out all 6 at once. Overall it was a good evening, the staff were nice and we would go again.

Had a good night out with good food, the service was a little hit and miss but the food was good and we were not tied for time. The dishes were tasty and interesting everyone enjoyed what they had, would have been 5 stars if we hadn't had to try so hard to get attention for more drinks etc. Would go again.

Great night out with a group of 23 fellow band members.Booked the party menu in advance. Several of our members were vegetarian and they were well catered for. Kids also had their own special menu which they were thrilled with. Food was of excellent quality and plentiful. Very good value for money.
