Great spot for a lunchtime session. I'll definitely be back. Great beer and the food isn't bad either.

It's always a great place to call for a pint, or 2. You always get a warm welcome, and the real ale is spot on. Cant comment on the food.

Quiet drink on an autumn Saturday afternoon. The beer was fine. The place was empty. The barman seemed really fed up. It's a lovely location. Great shame.

It has been a long time since we visited, due to lockdown and the fact that Tapas were no longer on the menu. A casual flick through my TripAdvisor account and I came across a recent review praising the Tapas evening. A quick call to Michael the landlord confirmed this and we booked a table. Oh my, Suzi the partner in the business and Chef delivered up an array of beautiful dishes chosen from a Specials board that had more than enough for everyone. Sooo good and booked again for the follow week. Enough said, just go!!

We have visited the Clothiers Arms twice in the last two weeks, and both visits have been absolutely fantastic experiences. The first visit was on Saturday 6th August, where we had booked a party for 40 people to celebrate an 80th birthday. The organisation for this was quick and smooth, and the function room at the pub is a lovely venue. We ordered a hot buffet and discussed our choices with Suzi in advance; the food was incredible, I’ve never been to a party where the food has been complemented by so many people. The vegetarian lasagne in particular was a highlight! Thank you to Suzi and Michael for organising such a wonderful evening for family and friends. The second time we visited was on Saturday 13th August, where we tried out the pub’s tapas menu. The menu is extensive, fresh and well-priced, with great portion sizes! Our only regret was that we were too full to finish it all. The dining area of the pub is a warm and welcoming environment, and we’ll definitely be back before too long for another go. Thank you to all involved for a great party and for a lovely tapas evening. If we were to be organising a party again in future, the Clothiers would definitely be our first port of call!

Great Tapas and friendly atmosphere

Awful run down place, unfriendly to outsiders. Seems only local farmers etc use it. Needs a good clean and change of management. Drank bottled only. Won’t be returning with my young children, felt very unwelcome.. Avoid

I absolutely love the tapas served here. The meatballs are to die for. The amazing chicken dishes are just wow. I am never disappointed and I travel from Doncaster to eat tapas here as often as I possibly can. The place is your typical pub with dining area. It's always relaxed and comfortable. Great place fab food definitely recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed deluxe burger and chips on Saturday night. They were absolutely delicious, the portion sizes were generous and they are excellent value for money. We ate in but they do them as a takeaway option too. We shall be back. Thank you!

Great atmosphere, great wine and great food

Always considered the clothiers to be a bit of a hidden gem. Great staff, well kept selection of ales and always superb food. Example, last Saturday we ordered burgers for collection, once home we realised they had forgotten our corn on the cob, whilst discussing whether to ring up or not Michael knocked in the door and hand delivered said corn on the cob, great service!

I love the tapas served here. There's an excellent choice and the portion sizes are good, compared to some other places I've eaten tapas, and it's delicious!

The tapas is absolutely wonderful. We are so glad that these evenings have started again, we have missed them. Food is fresh and tasty, very generous portions and well priced. It is our go to place. Tapas is Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and you will need to book.

Large pub with a big car park. Called on our walk around the area. Lad behind the bar was nice and friendly. Good choice of beer and lager. Large seating area outside which was nice

As tapas is one of my favourite cuisines and as this place had great reviews we popped along with high expectations. We were first surprised by the size of the portions, much larger than usual for tapas, so the advised 5 for two people was a bit more than we needed. The calamari wins the award for the most tasteless and heavy I’ve ever had, for a moment I wondered if I’d got onion rings in error. Tried two and gave up. The baked Camembert was lovely, French of course but a favourite, and it was tasty and served with a whole loaf of freshly baked bread. With the exception of the calamari it was all edible but not delicious and I would not recommend or return.

Saturday night. Only decent ale was off, pub largely empty but apparently fully booked for tapas. Such a missed opportunity - this line could be Huddersfield's second ale trail, but not with offerings like this.

Tapas nights are excellent - good food, beautifully cooked and very reasonable prices. Bit slow but worth the wait.

This place inexplicably stopped doing Tapas about 12 months ago, but delighted they have re-instated it. Called in without reservation and my party of 4 had a nice table and we ordered 10dishes, some from the menu, some from the specials. Can't single one out as all were delicious. Beer, Farmers' Blond was well kept and went down well with the food, the ladies shared a bottle of Shiraz, well priced at £14.95 Will certainly be back, as it's good to have a local serving unusual food, and doing it very well too!

Yet again amazing food, love how it’s 2 mins walking distance from our house, so so lucky to have such good tapas on our doorstep

We booked ahead as we’d had a long drive that day and found this country pub without difficulty. Thursday was tapas night and it was suggested we choose 5 dishes between 2 and this turned out to be just right. The food was tasty and well presented and there was a choice of ales.

If you ever want a quick cheap meal especially with children go to to this pub in Yeadon the service is slick and meals although simple are well cooked and hot a lot of the meals come with a drink included They also do good deals on tea and coffee with free refills the pub is clean looking the toilets were also first class

Five dishes: Mejillones con chorizo..... Brill Orzo with prawns and seafood.... FANTASTIC Gambas Al pil pil... Great as they always were Patatas bravas (done properly as they should be) Morcilla salad..... Who else but this chef would understand this truly Spanish dish..... Fab Thankyou

We was so pleased to see tapas was back and it is as good has ever, even better. We all love the food and the wide range Suzy’s offers she is always doing new and lovely specials. They always make you feel welcome and are all friendly. We would recommend this to everyone, which we do and you should try it for a good night out with lovely food what more could you ask for. Can’t wait to go again thank you.

As we discovered after the meal, when she came to enquire how we'd enjoyed it, Suzy is the chef, and a very good one, with a real desire to provide a menu that has something for everyone.

We were delighted to learn that the Tapas evenings had returned and whilst The Clothiers is not exactly local to us ( we live 20 miles away) it was always worth the drive. I am not sure if it is a case of missing it so much but last night seemed even better than we remembered if that was at all possible. It is Tapas with a Yorkshire twist. Two dishes from the regular menu and 4 from the Specials board and we were once again in Tapas Heaven. Great food, excellent service and a lovely clientele. Can’t wait for the next time!!!

This pub restaurant is back to its best. Tonight we chose the tapas menu. 23 options on the menu and a further dozen on the specials board.

We came here once we knew tapas was back on , and we were not disappointed !! Five of us ordered a variety of dishes and everyone was delicious especially the belly pork . Service was excellent and drinks good too !! Will be back

Great large portion tapas highly recommended

We live fairly close by and having seen the sign for tapas, decided to try it out. I have to admit that in Stocksmoor, which is quite small and out of the way I didn't have high expectations. How wrong I was, the food was delicious and we will certainly be back. On recommendation we had 5 dishes and that was plenty for the two of us. Friendly atmosphere, good food, all in all a very enjoyable experience.

While staying in the area for a few days thought we would try the Indian restaurant at The Clothiers. To our delight we found that Tapas was back, we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and plenty of it. It was the first time our friends had eaten Tapas and they enjoyed the whole experience. Landlord very attentative and the chef even came to enquire if everything had been to our satisfaction. Serves good beer as well.

We used to come here regularly on tapas evenings and thoroughly enjoyed it. Noticed recently that the original menu was back again and went back tonight to try it. Similar menu with specials board, same chef, same good service and good prices.

I enjoy coming to this pub. Its typically quiet, has friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. I'd recommend coming here if you fancy a pint or something to eat, because the food is great.

I went here with a lot of family for a bit of a reunion and we all had tapas. The food was delicious and there was a lot of it, more than enough to go around.

Came here for my mum's birthday food was incredible great ambiance at a very good price with a good bar and nice beer. The specials are always brilliant with them changing each time so you always have something new to try, what more could you want

Had the Tapas for the first time after hearing so many good things about it. We weren’t disappointed. Every dish we had was delicious, but the Gambas had to be my favourite.

My partner raved about this place for ages so we decided to finally go yesterday, the service was minimal, didn't even get given menus and then had to ask for cutlery in which the owner of the place replied "haven't you been given them" in a rant sort of fashion, well why would we ask? Not once got asked how our meal was not even at payment. Well here is how the food was... The food was quite bland and nothing exciting even my partner which has previously given 5 stars 4 times was extremely disappointed. The place needs work put into it the ceiling had a hole and needed repainting as a whole. The selection of beer wasn't great you'd expect there to be some sort of guest ales or a much larger selection of beers,ales and lagers. As a whole I wouldn't recommend this place for food or for a beer. I believe to have a bar/restaurant so far away from anywhere you need exceptional food and beers to make punters want to come back for more I certainly won't be.

I was so pleased to find out that The Clothiers was again serving tapas, as previously the food has been superb, but tonight’s meal was a combination of disappointing dishes (bland halloumi, bland meatballs, undercooked patatas bravas and soup-like stew that bore little resemblance to tapas) and poor customer service. We had to get our own menus, ask for cutlery and although the food arrived quickly, at no point were we asked whether we’d enjoyed the meal, even at the point of paying.

Got told this pub is dog friendly by someone who works there. When we got in another member of staff told us there was 1 dog off the lead and didn’t want us then to come in. Poor customer service !

Hosted a party for a significant birthday. Very helpful with booking and planning. Venue excellent, food plentiful and delicious. Different food preferences catered for. Bar well stocked and staffed. An evening thoroughly enjoyed by all. Thank you.

Nice friendly village pub next to Stocksmoor station( Huddersfield Sheffield line).Would be more exciting with rotating different cask ales(only two.Farmers blonde and Tetley cask).

We came here with friends for an evening of tapas and real ale and having sampled tapas in España I didn't know what to expect so I was pleasantly surprised when the food arrived, the food was well presented and of excellent quality. Each tapas is a mini meal in it's own right and for a group of four people we were recommended to order between eight and ten tapas.They have a wide range of tapas so it was easy enough to order a variety to suit all tastes. The food arrived in good time and the service was exemplary. Speaking on behalf of our party we really enjoyed the evening and look forwards to visiting again in the near future. Go try it and enjoy yourself!

Las mejores tapas que he probado fuera de España, y mejor que la mayoría de establecimientos españoles. Algo de pan y aceitunas para empezar, seguido de gambas, pollo y cerdo, platos con otros acompañamientos, una excelente comida acompañada de vinos muy quaffable. Fuimos a la tiendas por recomendación de amigos, se ha convertido en amantes de tapas y no era sin duda decepcionado. Puedo decir honestamente que este es uno de, si no las mejores comidas tapas hemos tenido en y alrededor de la zona. La comida era excelente, el pub es precioso, el personal es amable y la factura era muy justa. Qué más puedo decir, gracias y bien hecho.

Visité este pub tres veces la semana pasada. La primera visita fue para establecer lo que las ofrendas eran. La segunda, el jueves fue un festín de las tapas. Una selección de platos muy auténtico, muy bien cocinado, recomiendo una visita en un jueves, viernes o sábado, pero reserva es recomendable, ya que el chef, trabajando en su propia, sólo puede preparar y cocinar para recién cantidades limitadas. Y así a mi tercera visita, el Domingo, El Cenar asado. Había una variedad de carne o cerdo asado (otros platos disponibles, pero yo estaba allí para el asado). Fui para el cerdo, con todos los adornos, y fue presentada con una placa enorme lleno de bondad. Apenas había espacio para la encantadora selección de verduras. El personal, todos familiares, era amable, atento y servicial. Después de mis tres visitas, volveré? Absolutamente, sin duda, todavía hay muchas tapas y preservarlas la carne asada invita!

Los viernes por la tarde llamado en sin reserva. Estábamos contentos de esperar ya que íbamos a dormir la noche en nuestro camper en el aparcamiento. Nuestra orden fue tomada después de una hora. Como siempre las tapas estaban calientes, variada y abundante. Fue una noche concurrida y el amable personal fue de trabajo duro. Aparcamiento tranquilo por la noche y el mirlos era maravilloso en la mañana. Una parada encantadora.

Hemos comido aquí en varias ocasiones en las noches de tapas y siempre me encantó la variedad de platos, el servicio excelente y el ambiente.

Acaba de terminar una agotadora subida el día en el trabajo y necesitaba algo de comida para calmar a la bestia confort. No nos decepcionó, espléndida con chorizo y pollo estofado de frijoles mantequilla - absolutamente increíble. Relajante con una pinta de Tetley delante de una chimenea. No se puede pedir más: espectacular.

After walking in the rain and snow for a while we thought we would pop in here for something small too eat and warm up. We just had starters off the menu but they where very well presented and good value. The pub is in a nice location with plenty of seating inside and out. We also noticed a dog inside which makes it more ideal if your out on a walk and just fancy a drink! Bit cold inside but has to be better than the weather outside!

This was our fourth visit to The Clothiers Arms in the space of a year, and it didn't disappoint. The standard tapas menu has plenty of variety (including several vegetarian options) but the specials board is well worth checking out too. Last night's Portuguese pork stew, for example, was incredible, and complemented some of the more familiar dishes superbly. Service was delayed (as it was last time - not enough staff?) but the food was well worth the wait. We'll be back.

Good food, cosy fire and relaxed atmosphere

Had our first but definitely not the last meal here this evening. All the staff we encountered were very friendly, efficient and keen to ensure we enjoyed our visit. The place itself has a nice feel to it with fireplace, different rooms, dog friendly and spotless facilities.The range of tapas choices was superb and absolutely everything we had was excellent from the portion sizes to the quality. The wine we had was great too.We will be back here very soon.

We have become regulars now on a Friday evening - and for a good reason. The tapas are excellent. Huge portions and we're slowly working our way through the menu. Good prices for the quantity and quality of food and staff are very friendly and service excellent.

What a great meal again. It was about three years ago when we tried the Clothiers on Tapas night and after tonight I am asking myself why we took so long to return. My wife and I were there with three friends and we all agreed the food was absolutely excellent. £100 for five people including bar drinks and coffee. Great value for money.The young waitresses who served us was very pleasant and helpful which just added to the very friendly atmosphere and made the night enjoyable. The Clothiers is well worth a visit if you have not been there before. It comes highly recommended.

Better when this place was a pub and not a restaurant it's like been sat in your front room at home all squashed in to one room.the drink are good but apart from that it's a place I would not drink in. Staff are friendly.

My friend took me here as she had been recommending it for ages. We had tapas , all dishes were really nice, especially the brie special and the calamari. We shared 6 dishes between us , which was more than enough. The portions are hearty. The staff were really friendly and welcoming , and the atmosphere was really relaxed and chilled. Couldn't believe how cheap the bill was , under £40.00 and I'd been drinking wine and g&t's. The outside area is good too and we enjoyed making the most out of the weather and having a drink out there too. Will definitely recommend to others, and get a babysitter so can take my other half soon.

For any other Motorhome owners out there, put this on your "go to" list.Very tasty food, OH enjoyed the hand pulled beer, friendly service and the bonus of being able to park up the van and stay over after having a drink without charge.What else could you ask for?The weather was nice when we arrived so we had a drink in a pleasant outdoor area and some children were enjoying the play area.

We held our party earlier this year and catered for 60 people . We can honestly say that the food , the service , the atmosphere and hosts were 100% and we could not have asked for more . We are now planning our silver wedding anniversary party in February next year and without a doubt we will be taking our custom to the Clothiers . Well done to management and all staff .
