Popped in to find they had a all you can eat tapas Menu on all dishes tasted really nice great service and most probably go back next ti.e we are in the area. Highly recommended.

We had a great time! The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. The service was excellent, and we’ll definitely be back.

Visited on a Sunday with my dad. Not my first visit and won’t be my last. Having lived in Spain for 12 years, I’m always very particular about going to Spanish restaurants as I’m often left disappointed. However, every dish we ordered at El Toro was delicious, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Highly recommend the Gambas Pil Pil and/or the slow cooked lamb. As close to authentic Spanish food I’ve had in the U.K.

I was seated at a table by the bar and I could not help but overhear, who I can only assume was the manager, speaking to one of the young girl waitresses in an extremely inappropriate manner, which I was appalled to hear. In terms of the food, some of the dishes were lovely, however the paella was very disappointing. Spanish paella is meant to be sticky rice however the mini paella dish was very bland and had a grainy texture to it. The slow cooker beef was not described to have potatoes included which is fine but it felt like there was far too many potatoes and no where near enough beef as it is supposed to be a beef dish. The complimentary bread was stale and the chicken croquettes had no chicken in them. On a whole, the service was very good, other than a young man who was extremely rude and seemed completely disinterested. I do not recommend this restaurant for the high price of the all you can eat menu and the inappropriate comments I heard from one of the senior members of staff. I will not be returning as I don’t wish to support these people in any way.

I'm a journalist who has written a lot about food. I came here to have a nice evening because a few people recommended it, became sorely disappointed. Worst tapas experience ever, felt like I was paying a fine close to £80 with my hard earned money when I paid the bill. Microwaved food, sugary olives?????!!???, flies everywhere, bland and dry chicken, just not great in any way. To make things worse, the table was far too small for the plates and the carpet underneath us was just filthy. Just dysfunctional - avoid!

I was hoping to have something similar to what I had in Spain or at least in London but I have to say, I was not expecting overcooked prawns, undercooked potatoes, microwaved pasta and tasteless wings. My fiancée and I ordered a multitude of items and the only thing that was tolerable was the bread (the olives that came with it were out of date). One waiter was very sweet at the start and the one that handed us the bill was friendly but the person that dealt with us through the meal just made me want to leave. I've never had a waiter act so arrogant and passive aggressive before, even in France where that is part of the charm. I do have some questions that need answering like why are there so many flies? How do you justify serving stale churros? Has the floor ever been cleaned? Why has the chef given up on flavour? What really impressed me was the fact that they managed to make chorizo tasteless. What I'm trying to get at is if you want to pay too much and be disappointed then this is the place to go.

First time there last time the food wasn't up to standard it wasn't fresh salad was old the service was shocking not worth the.money we did mention that it wasn't nice but didn't do anything most of the food went back shocking the Spanish garlic bread wasn't Spanish it was a bagatte hf toasted o garlic.

We have tried the all you can eat and ordered from the main menu on two different visits. The food is amazing along with excellent service we would highly recommend a visit

My husband and I came to el toro tonight for the all you can eat option, £23 per head nice Shiraz wine only £19.95. Every course was outstanding we are looking at our diaries to see when we can come back. Plentiful portions , plentiful flavour you will not be disappointed. Beth was amazing friendly , polite and chatty but not intrusive. (It was better here 😘 ) Thank you

Bit noisy. Music loud and a group of friends having fun. Food outstanding. So many tapas to choose.

Great value!! Varied selection to order from including good vegetarian options. We tried many dishes, the beer battered prawns were our favorite, while the calamari let us down because it was chewy. But everything else was so nice! The female server was amazing, she was running around non stop to get food out quickly and clear plates while still taking drink orders! Also the chairs were very comfortable. We will be returning 100%!

Really nice dining experience. Tapas dishes intially served 3 at a time per person. Good if you're in a group to share. Eat as many as you like, they then serve 2 dishes at a time. Unlimited. Selection of 35 dishes. Vary varied. Note; 2 hour limit on the table at busy times. Would suggest making a reservation since the place was full by 6pm, on a Monday night. Cost £22.50 pp. (June 2024). Recomended

Two of us came early evening on a Saturday. Not that busy. Ordered 8 different tapa which varied from fine to good. The stand out for me were the Padron peppers. Service good

Each dish was a perfect tasting size, allowing us to try multiple different things without feeling greedy! We had 7 dishes each, all of which were hot and delicious! My partner’s favourite dish was the gambas pil pil, he had it 3 times! Compliments to the chef & all of the staff for such a relaxed and friendly serving style, will definitely be coming again!

Amazing experience at El Toro this afternoon. Myself and my guest had a number of allergies which we communicated in quite short notice when making our booking due to a last minute change in plans. Beth and Rachel on shift went above and beyond our expectations to cater to our allergies as soon as they were made aware of them and listed out the options we could safely choose from. The chef Alberto came to personally double check with us any alterations he could make to the menu to give us great dishes which were full of flavour. Many thanks to Alberto, Beth and Rachel for an excellent dining experience!

Great food, wonderful service, fantastic atmosphere. Went here to an evening dinner with some work friends and ended up taking the all-you-can-eat menu it was fantastic. There are 30 dishes to choose from and the service did a great job of coming back to our table at regular intervals to take out order for the next set of dishes. I think we had 5 rounds of food before we threw the towel in. I will definitely visit again in the near future. Update as at April 2024: Turns out, the meat is all halal too. Bonus.

Food is absolutely amazing and very well priced

The tapas menu was excellent with 30+ dishes on offer. Tasty food and good, friendly service. It's a little cosy and a loud group of women did detract a little, but we'll certainly be back. Good value for money.

Attentive, great service, beautiful food. From start to finish the team, we're amazing. Being a table of 8 is not always easy, especially as we eat a lot. But this place was a true delight. All dishes are fresh and hot. Perfect Thank you, we will be visiting again.

Delicious... the steak and lamb just melted in your mouth so tender. The sangria was the best I've tasted, very fruity. Service was professional throughout, left happy.

My girlfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here last night. We were greeted warmly and the service was excellent the whole time. The food was great value, served piping hot and fresh. Highly recommend and we will be returning again soon!

This was a planned meal with old friends. In a friendly and unhurried greeting we were seated and given menus and shortly afterwards our drinks order was taken and delivered. There's a huge selection on offer and we All found it hard to choose due to them all sounding exceptional. We settled on a variety of tapas including on halloumi, prk ribs, chicken wings, patatas Aloili, squid rings, king prawns and creamy Stilton mushrooms. The food came out in good time and we all agreed it was well cooked and delicious food. The staff were attentive and unobtrusive, the maitre’d was exceptional in his graciousness and helpfulness. A great night out. Good food, good service, and great atmosphere. Recommend.

The best Spanish food in Hull.

Overall bad, Food: I ordered steak, came looking boiled rather than grilled/panfried. Ribs still have the rib lining making it very chewy and inedible. Seafood not remotely fresh. under seasoned everything . Atmosphere bad, mold coming in through the walls besides the tables. Quiet servers can barely hear, approaching scared for some reason. If you want to go for a quick bite sure maybe although hard to find something nice. If for a celebration i’d stay away. overall 3.5/10

Completely bad this restaurant not made my order just sent (strange food) I order 4 steaks with mushrooms/grilled tomato and chips without any sauce and arrive some mixture (carrots/peas/and something more ) steaks coming with some green stuff on top and I’m allergic to garlic…I call 15 times for restaurant and nobody pick the phone….just I made complaint for take my £100 back from this order because all food are straight in waste bin!!I don’t recommend at all this restaurant for nobody only u t

One of my worst take out experience. The lamb liver was rancid and dry, the croquets were soggy and sickly. Prawns oily and sour, beef dry and no flavour, meatballs tasted processed and cheap. Such a shame, always enjoyed it here, didn’t taste fresh at all. Really gutted as wasn’t cheap

Lovely tapas. All dishes were tasty & well presented. Service good. Atmosphere was lacking as it was a quiet lunchtime but I'd go again for the food!

Just want to say I was really disappointed with my experience yesterday. The place was freezing and when I popped to the loo the food had been delivered to the table and waitress had spilt piri piri sauce over my brand new and expensive lining of my coat! The waitress pretended not to see but my horrified friends pointed it out to her, there was no apology just brought some anti bac spray!!!!! I came back and said that the spray would also damage my coat could I have hot water and a sponge… she laughed and said the sponge would be dirtier than my now very dirty coat !!! Brought a piece of tissue. Not once did I receive an apology nor to check if my coat was ruined. Accidents like spills happen but to not even come and speak to me about it was awful! I privately messaged the restaurant on Facebook and no reply either which has made my decision to put this review up. Never would I ever go back!

Food was delivered in good time, the flavours and quality were good, but some turned out to not quite be our tastes

somewhat disappointed that the calamari and prawns were over cooked and very chewy/rubbery. also somewhat disappointed that the prawns were not seasoned. in fact I'd say the prawns and sauce are cooked separately, the sauce is placed in the serving dish and the prawns are just placed on top? the bread and olives were probably the highlight. I'm inclined to give it another go in the future, but it may be some time before I try it again.

Great atmosphere, lovely staff. All you can eat tapas 4-9 mon-fri is great! Such a bargain and around £25 each. The quality of the food itself is 3/5 but nevertheless it was tasty and exciting to get so many little plates for dinner for the price we paid. Complementary olives and bread offered and if you want more the staff are happy to oblige.

My family of 5 recently celebrated GCSE and ALevel result’s here. The food was lovely and so was the service. We went on a Sunday and had the all you can eat tapas. The alcoholic Sangria was lovely, nicer than the non-alcoholic version.

First time at this restaurant and it won't be the last. Great place wonderful food great service would recommend this place to anyone seven of us ate six with the all you can eat and one from the main menu All enjoyed the food and the atmosphere prices match the whole experiance. Value

Really good quality food, everything had a good level of flavour and service was excellent. All you can eat menu offered a lot of variety and good for vegans/vegetarians too with many options to choose from. Only improvement is the patatas bravas needed to be a bit crispier and the bravas sauce needed slightly more spice but other than that is was brilliant!

Garlic bread tasted a bit funny this time but the rest was nice. We love this place

my daughter and her partner visited here before and chose again for her graduation meal. The food was delicious and good quality. Very authentic spanish tapas. Service was great especially from one waitress who gave my grandaughter biscuits and had a little dance with her at the end. My daughter had a wonderful graduation meal. It was perfect. Thank you.

We enjoyed the all you can eat tapas offer here. It's great to share all the dishes and try something that you might normally not be confident to order. There is plenty of choice, though a few of the dishes I wouldn't order again. This is, of course, personal preference. The service was very good, I found the music too loud and intrusive - but I tend to find this everywhere I go, so maybe it's me!

Driver was polite but couldn't find the address so had to walk down the road to find him. Food was a disgrace. Supposed to come with grilled tomato & mushrooms, instead it came with some revolting tinned mixed veg. Steak was supposed to be medium but wasn't and the potatos were mushy and awful. And the dessert wasn't an improvement. Overall, massively disappointing and hugely overpriced.

Had an absolutely lovely meal with friends there this weekend. Our server Beth was absolutely lovely, really friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was perfect for such a hot day! Food was delicious and we will definitely be back 😊

Last minute stop off, great food!

We didn't have the best experience as a family. Firstly, we arrived on time but waited a long while until the order for drinks was taken. Olives and bread was a long time coming too. We'd been there over three quarters of an hour at least before our tapas actually arrived. Most of the dishes arrived OK, but some were missing or duplicated and if there was a problem with one, it took a long time being fixed. We waited a long time for subsequent courses to arrive too. Food was OK. The chicken croquettes were just like mashed potato. I'm not sure there was chicken it it, there was no meaty texture and the white fish was hardly cooked with the batter being soft and fish watery. The lemon wedges were dry, no juice came out when squeezed, but the prawns were huge and tasty. One thing I didn't like was the chairs, they were so heavy and not easy to move into place after taking a seat, also some table positions weren't great. I wouldn't go again, it was too expensive, too much hassle with wrong orders and not an enjoyable venu to sit, tbh.

They came out in good time and all 4 if us agreed it was all delicious. We asked for a basket of bread after to mop up all the lovely dips and sauces they came with. Also the 2 cocktails for £12 was a steal. We will most definitely be visiting again when we are in Hull again!!! P.s the staff were brilliant too 👏

The absolute worst in service and the food ain't even that good. Ordered 6 tapas for delivery. Only got 3. Called the restaurant who said that they were aware that I paid for 6 but still only sent 3. Nobody bothered to call to check what had happened. They were happy to get paid for 6 items and only deliver 3 items. Called the restaurant and spoke to Beth whose customer service is absolutely shocking. Got and attitude and started raising her voice. Asked how we could rwolve th issue and she kept on saying how it's not their fault, that the fault is with Just eat and I need to sort it out with them. Waiting for manager to call me in the meantime food is getting cold and we are all here wondering if/when the rest of our food is gonna come. Horrendous service.

Our first visit to this restaurant after visiting many of its neighbours over the years. We had booked online but it was less half full on the Thursday night we visited. On non-weekend nights you have the option of a la carte and an all you can eat option. We chose the latter to assess a larger range of their dishes - it’s about £22 for this option. You chose 3 dishes to begin with (there are approx 30 available) then 2 at a time until you’ve had enough. We had 9 plates each (most were small so we weren’t being particularly greedy!). We had a selection of meat, vegetable and fish plates. This is very much a quantity rather than quality way to eat - everything was average and most didn’t feel freshly prepared. To be fair though £2.50per plate was never going to be great food so value was pretty good. Personally I would have been happy to pay more and have fresher food. So for us it was an OK evening but not good enough to want to return.

This restaurant started my love of steak in 2022 , I keep coming back and everytime it tops my expectations. Not one complaint
