Lovely food as always :) The only chippy I will go to, food is always fresh and never have to wait very long. The Irish curry is the best!

¡Simplemente no comas aquí! El cebo blanco sobrevalorado se sirve con 5 ramitas de lechuga, una cuña de lima y un dedal de aceite de oliva. Sopa de estilo brasileño con almejas, en realidad sopa con mejillones a los que soy altamente alérgica, el segundo tazón de sopa contenía unos cuantos langostinos muy masticables y algunos berberechos rellenos de arena. Después de esta maravillosa “comida”, terminamos con una visita a baños bastante sucios llenos de tampones, y se accede a través de una escalera de madera completa con telarañas, plumas y años de polvo. Jackson’s, los clientes merecen más que esto.

This chippy is so good!! I ordered fish and a small chips and the quantity was so much - not to mention the fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. Service was lovely and the restaurant is very clean. They take cash only so be prepared before you visit.

My daughter took me to this amazing fish n chips shop. The place is very clean and very nicely done up. Best thing of all is that you can sit and eat in. Staff are very friendly and very quick service. Chips were tasty BUT the FISH omg it was amazzzzzing. The batter was out of this world.so light so crispy and not at all oily. I would highly recommend shillingford you will not reget it.

Been here before for afternoon tea it was nice. Went again for the disney themed lunch & will not be back! Can't believe we paid £55 for this tiny amount of tasteless food no drinks included we all left still hungry! Also they could of made alot more effort with the table & decor for the so called themed lunch. The young waitress had no manners.

RUINED OUR VALENTINE'S DAY! I booked a table on the 13th of February 2025 ,To celebrate Valentine's Day as the website said it wasn't open apart from Thursdays. As this used to be one of our favourite restaurants, we decided to plan everything around this 7 pm booking. A few days before I received an email asking me to confirm this booking as I booked it last month, I confirmed it and then I received another email confirming the booking themselves. So on the 13th, me and my partner had such a lovely day exploring Wales and was looking forward to ending our day with a Bang and to our surprise it was shut. No lights on, no one around to ask, complete darkness from inside. I rang the telephone, heard it ringing from the inside and nothing. Massively disappointed us yesterday and it is such a shame as we really enjoyed the food there. Completely ruined our valentine's day, I believe we are due some compensation or a free meal before EVER going back there.

Mi marido y yo amamos el pescado con patatas fritas de Youngers y viajamos una distancia para obtener F & C de ellos durante años. La calidad nunca vaciló. Lamentablemente, parecen haber cerrado, lo que es una gran vergüenza. Su listado de Google dice que están cerrados temporalmente y lo ha hecho desde al menos octubre de 2024 y su sitio web ha dicho que vendrá pronto desde entonces en esa misma época.

Over a period of time my self and family members always stayed here for few nights. Went for a few nights stay last year in November and in all honesty it will be the last time. Was it because they were short staffed I don't know.!!!! But what a difference from previous ownership. Really pleasent on arrival but from there on everything seemed to be too much trouble. Probably didn't help as kitchen was out of order but found a cafe across the road named Fanny's where the welcome and service was exceptional. The rooms were ok (spacious) as usual 👌👍but heatings were a nightmare to work. When asking the owner how they work it seemed too much trouble showing us but once switched on they would take several hours to work.. not good enough really on a cold December night. Even when asking for more coffee sachets and milk and sugar it seemed too much. Don't get me started on the towels from the bathroom. 2 towels were expected to last us for 2 days with a family of 3 and only 1 tap would work which was the cold one. Couldn't get out there quick enough if I'm honest once the 3rd day was up. For the price for a 3 night stay you expect a little bit more. Miss the previous ownership and I'm expecting these standards to be improved although I won't be going back there that's for sure. 2 stars from me and that's because we had a roof over our heads. Shape up or ship out ❌⭐⭐

This place is a real find and a Gem !!! The chicken curry is the best I have tasted ! I have travelled a bit from Beirut to Marrakesh and I have never liked a curry more ! Big chunks of real chicken ,not those God awful little cubes of catering rubber chicken . The staff are really friendly ,greet you like an old friend once you have been there a couple of times !
