The best restaurants serving Seafood food in South Wales

We were passing through Monmouth in our motorhome and called into Aslans to see if the fish and chips were as good as last time. I am pleased to report that they are - 2 enormous pieces of cod with crispy batter and decent chips. Friendly and quick service for freshly cooked food.

Lovely place with the good variety of fresh fish and see shells. Definitely worth to visit!

Come here as my work colleagues loved it , last time I was on the lunch run , I use it regularly and out standing food and service, quality of food is always good too . Thank you very much again .

Chips are fantastic but rissoles were dreadful. Need a magnifying glass to find any corned beef, just big lumps of potato. Very, very disappointed

Mi marido y yo amamos el pescado con patatas fritas de Youngers y viajamos una distancia para obtener F & C de ellos durante años. La calidad nunca vaciló. Terrible. Dirty and horrible location

Excellent food. The fish and chips comes with curry sauce- winner. The fish of the day is great value and super tasty. A huge variety of fish dishes available. Plus interesting and tasty specials. Lovely views of the river. Great selection of ice creams. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Fantastic service. Highly recommend. Note: fish lovers paradise; probably not for you if you don't like fish (although there are non fish options).

Beautiful food as always boiling hot and nice and fresh

We visited today and had the cream tea from the light bites menu and it was amazing. Everything was fresh, tasty and well presented. The honey and almond scone was beautiful. The lady who served us was so friendly and helpful. We will most definitely call again soon.

Went there yesterday for 2 x regular box of chips and was not disappointed! Fond memories of Boofy’s when I was a little kid at the beach and it’s even better now than I remember. Highly recommend!
