Went for the first time, sausages were delicious and the chips, however a large portion was not large that's my only moan.

Just had chips which were a bug ball of mush....my sausage in batter resembled a sausage with 4 cornflakes on it....terrible food

Had cod and it had all the bones still in it when I rang I was told yes that’s right it still has you have to pay extra to have it boneless, what a load of rubbish

Best skinless and boneless cod in the valleys. Excellent fish and cooked to perfection with no skin or bones and wafer thin properly cooked batter. Highly recommended.

The best chippy in the valleys ? Probably is the best or not far off , always fresh chips , always done to a good standard , not mega portions tho. If you can still afford takeaway fish it's usually cooked fresh here as well , nothing worse than ordering a £7 piece of fish only to have some reheated hard piece of fish . Anyhow you won't go far wrong here , always a pretty good standard .

Lovely chips and a wide variety of food options from the standard battered fish to wraps and my favourite the honey glazed chicken strips.

Portion sizes are absolute joke! You know when a portion of chips is so small it's very light when you pick them up - shocking! Avoid.

Usually pretty good, but today awful. Bottom of the barrel chips and incorrect order. Waste of money.

Poor quality tastless fish with the skin left on it... and size of the large chips is a joke, the Irish curry is hotter that it usually is, suffice to say we won't be back sorry

Ordered food at 5.30 and didn't have delivered until 7.30. Rung then at 6.30 to be told "well we're busy". Website gave predicted delivery time 45 minutes. If it said in there 2 hours I would have understood - but false advertising

The 3 quid tray of chips and beans I just bought is now on the bird feeding table in my garden. I'd be surprised if the birds ate it. Plus it came in lovely, eco friendly polystyrene.

Price quite expensive. For bad fish with bones and skin and little chips. They said because poor quality of fish from supplier. They need change supplier because in Cardiff and Penarth I can eat much better fish with a lot of chips cheaper than here.

After finishing the shopping at Aldis in Porth, we felt hungry so popped to the chippy and ordered a large sausage in batter, 2 large bags of chips and a steak and kidney pie. The food was ready quickly, the person who served us was nice and the food was excellent value for money. It was a dry day so we decided to eat our food at Garth Park in Trealaw (well maintained with a great play area). The food was still hot, tasted delightful and was cooked perfectly. After we finished eating the baby played in the Park for a while, before we headed back to Porth to finish the shopping at Farm Foods.

Well it was early on a saturday eve and either they didn't have much stock or just didn't want go do certain things but choice was poor

Ask for our fish cooked well done and it was cooked to perfection with great chips. Recommend the skinless and boneless cod as worth the little extra.

Very clean place & very tasty tucker. Always fresh fish. If there was a small downside the portions were a little small perhaps & the chicken a little dry. Definitely worth another visit though as chips were so delicious.

Better than most in than area, staff are very good

Not too happy with this store. The other store is good but I found a hair in my dry chips from this place. The food was dry and had a hair in it. Prices are higher than average also. I don't mind paying more if the produce is good but unfortunately it was not. The staff close when they feel like it not when at the times stated.

I had skinless and boneless cod,twas exceedingly scrumptious .

The price of fish & chips has recently gone up, in fact I paid over £8 for fish & small chips, plus a curry sauce, hence the 3 stars only !

Always great service and the food is always faultless, however the opening times need correcting, Taylor's Tonypandy closes at 8pm not 9pm

Love the corned beef pie and chips , but parking can be tricky though.

I don't know if It's because I go there around 12.15 pm but the chips are delicious and freshly cooked as is the fish. I have been visiting once a week for around 18mths and only once could I describe the fish as poor because of freshness. it is always fresh tasting with just a thin layer of batter which I prefer.I also get my mother something to eat and whether it is the corned beef slice or faggots and peas she always loves it. The staff are also brilliant. Highly recommended !!

This is one of the best fish and chips shops in the Rhonda myself and my family where out shopping and we called in for some food the food was excellent and the staff and management team were very helpful so if you are in the area it's well worth your time to call in and enjoy the food and drink because you will not be let down

One of the best fish shops in the Rhondda

Had not visited for couple of years. Travelled up from Pontypridd to get Saturday evening supper. Only picked up basic fare, Beef Pie, Corned Beef Pastie, Large Chips and a Curry Sauce. All OK apart from chips which were pretty much inedible. Not just 'drained', totally desiccated. Only the fatter chips anywhere close to being edible.Certainly not what I had expected from earlier visits. Need to get this sorted.This was the Penygraig Chip Shop

Just love this place, always have a takeaway when we stay with Dad. Lovely chips and curry sauce “fruity” is the best with a sausage. The owner is always accommodating and friendly. Easy access too with car park on the corner. Rob and Jan.

The Trealaw chippy isn’t living up to the “Award winning” status they advertise on the shop signage, food is great when freshly cooked but we’ve been served chips more than once ready of poor quality and fish that was thrown in the bin due to being over cooked and dried out.

Food is very nice but you wait far to long It i understand that the food has to be fresh but nothing is ever prepared considering how busy they are and the volume if food people order staff are friendly and polite but need more food ready to go.

I have been to other chippy's, but taylors always seem to buy the best potatoes, which result in a cracking chip, fish is excellent, and overall they seem to go for quality products, they have won best fish shop in wales and numerous other awards. Would highly recommend any visitor giving this one a visit..

Easy to find, situated on a busy road but easy car parking in the car park less than a 2 min walk away. The shop has recently been referbed and it loos amazing but as always the service was excellent and the food was fantastic

Pity they don't open late.SilverLounge, Chineese( Golden House) and kebab house catch the late night pub trade when the chips are stale and have been recooked "n" times.If only Taylor's realised the business they could do.
