Lovely portion size, we had fish and chips, really chip shop chips cooked to perfection 👌 if I were critical, the shop front needs a tidy up, but don't let that put you off the food was lovely

Poor food portions. Curry and rice looks abysmal in size. If you aren't on a diet then please go elsewhere If it's not a main item then why is it also frozen? You hadn't even bothered to make it look like you'd cook it from scratch.

fish freshly cooked and delicious in a golden batter.....chicken moist and tender. chips could be better.

AVOID IF YOU VALUE YOUR STOMACH. I ordered through delivered a supposed large cod. Was not worth £10.10 price tag. The sausage and chips all reheated and very greasy. It was the WORSE fish n chips I've ever had. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. LOOK AT MY PICTURES. The rest went to the dogs.

The shop is okay but it needs to be brightened up. The staff were adequately friendly. The food was freshly prepared and hot, but nothing special.

Absolutely disappointed. Delivery late. When I opened the boxes of the same order may I add, it looked like they chucked what they had left in the box. Chips were disgusting and cold. The chicken looked like it's been chewed before Delivery. Worse place I've ever had food from. 😡

Well u order food from this shop they send u the wrong food the chips are disgusting they ring u say they got no chicken and send u the value of some thing else its disgusting I would beg u don't order from ghis company I learnt the hard way if just had attitude and said they are not going to do nothing it's disgusting

Just ordered from here was 25 quid for one chips, fish and sausage portions sizes were very small and chips were chewy would not order here again.

Terrible food, all chips under cooked, and the sausages looked and tasted a week old. Will not be returning

The best cod I've tasted in a long time, perfectly cooked with crispy batter, no bones at all and the proper real chips were stunning. Thoroughly worth trying out, I will definitely order from this gem of a place again. Many Thanks, Alun

Such a warm and friendly place, they have always treated us like family, and the food is absolutely delicious. I am so grateful for everything they do for us, for the price it’s an absolute bargain! Highly recommended !

Pretty much my go to chippy, phone your order in and the fish is cooked fresh in time to collect. Always good quality, great prices, especially if they have a special on. Large fish and chips for 6 quid, bargain! Staff are always pleasant and helpful.

Order food online, went to collect about 20 mins later. Not only was food not cooked but fryers were off, he turned on when I got there. When I asked how long as got to be somewhere, he was rude and said I'll cancel your order. So that's what I did. Very rude attitude It was 2pm the shop was empty no orders being cooked or hardly any food left! Order online so that when customer arrives it can be collected, you hadn't even bothered as fryer was off 🙄 and 2 fish cannot be cooked in 5 minutes!!

Had pie and chips Asked if had jumbo sausage as couldn’t see one and was told yes so ordered one also curry sauce when I got home I had been given 2 small sausages instead which is not what I wanted and they where cheap and nasty and given to the dog so first and last time I go there .

Had one large portion and one small portion of chips. Took well over an hour to turn up and all the chips were dark brown and tasted badly burnt. Won’t be using again. The curry sauce however was good. Also over priced for what we ended up with

2.5 hours for 3 bags of chips and sauces to be delivered chips were tepid at best on delivery. Contacted store after 2 hrs to be told order was not even prepared

Having recommended to this place. Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. Stranger looking fish . Tasted horrible and chips the same . Obviously cooked in very old oil . Don’t waste your money.

I visited on a Sunday for sausage and chips, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Cooked fresh chips and advised how long the wait would be and the food was certainly worth the 5 minute wait. Chips were delicious and the sausage was too. While I waited, the young lady working there chatted to me and even though it was a very hot day both ladies working there couldn’t do enough for their customers

Had lunch from here for my son before he went on holidays he said sausage in batter was too dry, chips and curry sauce was ok

Well where do I start?!.. it took over two hours to arrive, food was cold and I mean everything including the sauce, the cold cans was warmer than the food, the sausage and batter felt and looked as though they just come out of a fridge and when we wanted our money back after spending £30+ they refunded us with only £2.39. This place is a disgrace, the food standard here is disgusting, and I honestly wouldn’t even feed this food to my dog!🤮🤮 We binned everything because there was such a high risk of food poisoning especially with someone in the household being only 10 weeks pregnant.

Just had a brilliant meal at Mamma’s place. Food is amazing, perfect lunch time stop for me and the lads whilst nearby. Will surely save location for future ref, and look forward to eating here again next time I’m in town! Friendly staff & great service. Thank you

Wasn’t the best last night… Never had a problem befor…. Chips was I think over cooked and wasn’t nice as there was befor. Sausage was great and best of all the toffee cheese cake was amazing ! Down side of the meal the delivery took ages to come when normally it was great… but took at least 1 and half… To the point I put a bad review in saying it didn’t turn up…. I ordered 2 apple tango cans… but had 2 cokes which I couldn’t have ! But the chips wasn’t that great

I will never go here again!!! Took about 25 minutes for my food then she ripped me off with the money I gave her,I gave her 10 pound she gave me 2.00 pound change??? For small chips and 2 sausages and had bad attitude And then had the cheek to give me about 20 chips in a small bag of chips and 2 little sausages costed £7 then she had the cheek to not even say sorry that she didn’t give me the right change not even worth 1 star

The food looked at least 2 years old and was clearly taken out of a freezer and straight in the microwave and I had to wait an hour for food I wouldn't ask my worst enemy to eat the mess that arrived.

Just had cheese burger and chips absolutely disgusting not hardly any salad or cheese chips taste absolutely disgusting yuck I couldn't eat any of it it went in the bin wasn't edible 🤢🤮

We had no complaints. Our fish, chips, fishcake and sausage, (to take away), were cooked in front of us and tasted delicious afterwards. We will definitely call again.

Had to wait a long time for the order but then it arrived (Cod&chips, Choc chop waffle) the phone chips and fish were fresh and hot. Batter was very light and not at all greasy. The waffle and ice cream was stunning and a good portion. Would have given 5*, but owing lengthy wait for delivery, 4*. But, excellent food.

After losing faith in the fish shops in Aberdare due to poor food and worse service... It is awesome to find a decent fish and chip shop. Properly cooked fish and lovely thick chips ... the other chippy can learn from the Hot Pot 👍👍

Absolutely awful food!! My supposedly fresh sausage and batter tasted like it had been battered last week in a fish fight 😂😂 will most definitely not be returning there again

Can’t fault this place at all everything is cooked fresh and the taste to match my last visit there I was short 90 pence and they said not to worry and I was given a complementary free bottle of coke honestly don’t no any other chippys to do that thanks guys

While the food is about as good as it gets for a fish shop the service is terrible! Every single time I go in there I'm waiting for chips, doesn't matter what time I go in I'm waiting. The shop will be empty, I go in no chips ready, the shop can be packed and there's five or 6 people waiting for chips. For a fast food place there's nothing fast about their service. The staff although friendly enough do nothing but complain, about how long their shift is, about how long they have to work, how horrible their job is and even how little the boss does. It's massively off putting, I don't want to go somewhere for food and listen to some strangers dislike of their job, which is made even worse again by the fact you have to wait for the food to cook.
