The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

I was tired, had a gap between clients, & I fancied chips... So I came here & had a lovely sit down to a delicious meal of battered sausage & chips, bread & butter & tea to drink. Afterwards I was refreshed & ready to work...

I ordered a haddock with regular fries and what I received was unacceptable. The piece of fish was incredibly small and so thin that it was almost entirely covered in batter with very little actual fish. The chips were merely warm. I have been a loyal customer for years, and I am extremely disappointed to see the significant decline in standards and quality. The prices are far too high for what is being served. I will not be returning – this is a complete rip-off.

Overcooked fish & chips. I ordered a large fish and chips did when it arrived they had supplied two medium fish which were overcooked and dry. They no longer serve cod but haddock instead. Won’t return after this experience. Expensive food for poor quality

A group of colleagues and myself were staying at Trinity College for the weekend. We placed a large order via the website and collected. It was absolutely delicious, piping hot and beautifully cooked. A particularly lovely touch was the wedge of lemon offered with each portion. Back home, we have several fantastic fish and chip shops around (we live near the sea) but this was right up there with them. Highly recommended and one of the best plaice and chips I've ever eaten.

Popped into Fishers while we were in The Kings Arms to get some food. Their £6 deals are good value for money, even if the food isn't the best. Everything cooked fresh, but not sure what kind of fish it was, and the batter in the sausage left something to be desired. But for £6 it was decent

Good chippy with an ever-expanding menu. Tasty chips and the seafood basket is great. Unfortunately the past three times (!) in a row, I got home to discover an item missing from my order. The lad serving at the moment tends not to write orders down so maybe he should consider changing that.

This is a hidden gem away from the tourist hustle and bustle of Whitby. The couple who run it are friendly and helpful and the food very good quality at excellent prices. Most place today you just about get change from £10 for 2 hot drinks but here You get a little change from £5 for a tea and a coffee, both of which are good quality. The breakfasts are a good price, good quality and generous.

Best Chinese/ fish and chip shop in Tonbridge, generous portions, great tasting food

Food was vile, we thought we'd give this place a 2nd chance but food was worse than the last time! Ordered salt and pepper noodle box, a box of noodles arrived with cheap like frozen chicken strips in, (100% not fresh, all uniform in shape and size too) 1 spoon of soggy veg, probably frozen, none of it was fresh, would not order again!

I went into my local chip shop and ordered some food . I had not been there for a while as the chips were not very nice but decided to give it another go . My order was incorrect and I repeated the order to the gent behind the till .The gent / tall man behind the counter become very aggressive shouting and ranting at me telling me he would serve me this time but I would be banned from the shop in future . I told him he had a very bad attitude towards the customers and very bad customer service and then asked for my money back .I also asked why I would be banned? Considering he had got my order incorrectly ,but With no avail .I spoke to the owners wife to tell her about the incident across the road but she stuck up for her husband who said he heard the conversation .The funny thing is he wasn’t in the shop at the time and was on a delivery, so this was a complete lie. I will never go to this shop again or use the corner shop which they own as they also keep overcharging you so watch you coins . This has happened numerous times . I think the man in this shop needs a drug test as he seems like he was on something or dislikes certain people (women) . I have lived here 30 years and never felt so insulted . The previous owners were lovely and very respectful it’s a shame this has gone down hill. I have spoken to other people around the area and they have said this has happened to them too .

worst kebab for a long time 😟🤮 Large mixed was at best a medium, next to no salad… no mayo as asked for just a cheap crappy chili sauce … totally rank, meat was very poor, tasted like been sat in a bain marie for a week! … in the bin!

Chicken was dry, pink and tasted like blood. Poor quality meat

My sons fish and chips didn’t turn up I rang twice once was told they were on the way second call said I hadn’t ordered any so needless to say he was disappointed
