The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

Here for a family celebration, with a party including a frail elderly lady and an excited 7 year old. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. As always, the food was delicious - proper fish and chips in gluten free batter. Our elderly guest was able to have a child's portion to suit her appetite. Main portions would satisfy the hungriest appetite. Toilets were spotless and smelling of lavender. Parking is effectively free as the only way you can pay to park is using Ringo, but there is no wifi signal! We totally disagree with the recent negative reviews. We have been here many times and NEVER had a bad experience.

Used to love the good catch but chips looked like frozen chips but through the fryer and under cooked and fish was very poor and greasy defo gone down hill

Always great food, staff are excellent, fish cooked to order and always mountains of chips, there kebab in a nann bread is amazing, excellent value meal deals and lovely fruity curry. Barry's Catch is the only Chippy in Barry I use, as Tina Turner once sang............. it's simply the best

This Fish and Chip shop been around for a very long time. Older than me, yo that's mad. All friendly staff, the original staff and the new staff. I've been told that they have new ownership now, glad to see male staff added to the team as both male and female customers use the shop. The only difference I've noticed is the new male staff, food remains the same. I'm a regular customer and I enjoy the food. Also, other customers have said that they love the fact that men now also work in the shop. A welcomed change, compared to before. Sometimes change is good. Nobody knows what went on behind closed doors, so if anybody got a problem with the changes in the shop, go somewhere else. I'm sure the freezing weather will be forgiving 😂. Like it, or lump it. But if you want a family friendly local chippy, I highly recommend this shop. Change is good sometimes yo, so stop complaining and get a grip. Moaners.

Gran pez, no tan grande todo lo demás... Así que el pescado fue genial. Chips meh. Pero no esperaba mucho. Se quedaron sin bacalao... Decepcionante pero comprensible. Disfruté mucho del muelle. Las damas de la registradora eran I+D+i. Tan grosero. Apresurando a la gente, sin hospitalidad. Entiendo que está ocupado, pero vamos, se amable! No hay ningún sitio donde sentarse, pero es de esperar, ya que son esencialmente un camión de alimentos en un mercado muy ocupado. En general eras bueno, pero no genial.

It was the biggest piece of fish I have ever seen. I would suggest you could easily have 1 piece of fish between 2 people. Also, get 1 portion of chips between 2 unless you are exceptionally hungry! Had to wait for chips to be cooked...
