Kents Chip Shop in Wirral

Just got some of their soup as not feeling too well and it usually satisfies. Not this time; they have only gone and reduced the size of the container that the soup comes in quite significantly but not the price. (Had old container still in the cupboard) Ripping off the customer is poor show.

I try and get a take-away lunch at least once a month....great service from friendly staff and the food is hot, fresh and really good. Well worth a visit.

Kent Chip Shop serves up some of the best comfort food in the area, and their chicken and sweetcorn soup is a standout! It's hearty, flavorful, and perfect for a cozy meal. Staff are lovely but big black wirey curly hair in food. Mum was throwing up for 2 days!!! Absolutely disgusting. Won’t be returning.

Bought fish & chips. Really nice food, big piece of fish and very tasty. Definitely visiting again to try the other dishes.

Kent’s is genuinely the best place on earth. Once I gave my daughter Disney land tickets and she told me to f🤬ck off and asked me to take her to Kent’s. Just says something does it. #answer ur telephones.

Well well well… kent’s chip shop. A place that used to be plagued with fun and scrumptious food. However now it’s a horrific mess. I ordered a large sausage dinner and instead was met with a sodding SMALL curry pie. TOO SPICY!! Miss ling is as useful as a blunt knife. what an awful replacement for the dog roy! I will definitely return as the sausage dinner i didn’t get sounded nice. They even had sausgae in it.

The SAUSAGE DINNER is lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10/10 Mr LING was so polite and well mannered he’s such a lovely caring man who can cook a lovely sausage dinner!

Having recently tried some meals there, they are better tasting than some other chip shops The prices are reasonable and the meals are done quite quickly. This will be my local chippy.

Special fried rice, with barbecue sauce & a gravey chip is my meal of choice out of this Chinese

Heaving on a Saturday night. Probably easier to go into the shop rather than phone up - less chance of a mixup if they are busy.

Recently under new management & every time we’ve been it’s been excellent Would highly recommend 10/10

Just finished our dinner that we got from Kents Chip Shop. Massive portions all freshly cooked. Great value. The lady at the till was absolutely lovely to deal with and was keen to please and our dishes were prepared exactly as we had requested. It was very busy too which is always a good sign. Will return again wnen in the area. Thank you.

Pretty good since being taken over by new owners. Good portion sizes and good value for money. Might be my new go too Chinese.

Under new management for about a month and I have been a couple of times and thought the food was fabulous. First time I had chicken satay. It was full of flavour with chunky pieces of chicken, generous portion and great chips. Have to say I was really impressed. Second time I had crispy chilli beef, it was exactly how is should be, very crispy and also very hot, so only order this is you like spice. They also take card payments which makes it much more convenient as I hardly ever have cash.

Since under new managment the food has gone poor. Taste has gone down and quality. We ordered when it first re opened and found the food bland but we put it down to it possible finding their feet and gave it a second chance. Second time round chicken was undercooked (still pink) and a strange taste on the rice. The chicken also in the fuyoung had strips of black going through it which put us off. Sadly wont be returning, shame as its the closest in walking distance.

This has to be the worst Chinese I have tried . Chips warmed up from lunchtime , sweet and sour , chicken had a funny taste , schezuan yellow pale and runny with what looked like boiled meat . Chow mein totally insipid and smelt like boiled bleach water ( didnt even dare taste it ) none of the meals looked like they had been near a wok .I think the wok noise from the kitchen must have been a recording because none of the food had been anywhere near a wok . Totally vile and avoid at all costs . Only positive is it was decent sized portions just a shame it was totally inedible .

Refried chips about ten times not enjoyable

Our meals had less meat and vegetables than on previous occasions and far too much onion.

We ordered food a waited for 40 minutes and we went in and they said we don't have the food in and we were stood out side and they didn't tell us

Ive used Kents a number of times and the fiod has always been delicious.The omelettes are tasty and the salt and pepper ribs are very generously portioned.

Lovely meals nice and hot made quickly and always pleasant. COVID rules followed

Fabulous well cooked chips, tasty savoury and too their Donna Kebabs 😋 Well worth a visit!

A good chip shop & obviously Chinese food. I haven't had anything that was not nice, & I am very fussy with my food, so if I like it, it can't be bad at all

Pretty good is kents been plenty of times never had a complaint there fish and chips although there are better is a good solid choice Chinese meals good as well and friendly service looks clean as well

Have called in to the shop a few times for a late night kebab on the way back to the hotel highly recommended

basically yea, my man kent copped me yea some egg fried rice and it was bangin but i dropped it and now i've got no rice onit safe kid in abit x

My husband has just picked up a mini fish n chips special at £3.80p. Where do I begin. Sausage served with fish. I woulc have preferred mini fish n chips. I cant think of a worse combination. The batter covering the fish was very thick in comparison to the amount of fish. The chips were also very greasy, but the oil that is used for all this frying had tainted all the food. However, the small amount of fish was of reasonable good quality. It was a pity the meal for me was very disappointing. At least the squirrels get a meal

Just wanted a portion of chips to go with a hot chicken from Asda, £1.40 for a standard portion and the portion was huge! Really nicely cooked and a good taste. So many chippy's use cheap flavourless potatoes but not here. I would recommend the chips.

Just had a Chinese meal from here. Ribs and salt and pepper chicken were OK. However, the main meals were inedible. I had to spit the food out it was that bad. Don't think I'll going back. Shame really as it's my nearest chippy!!

Very friendly staff who serve HOT food, cooked for your own specification when ordered. Not much waiting time, easy free parking access.

This chippy is good if you just want a portion of chips, gravy and curry but if you are after Chinese meals then I wouldn't recommend it, the chicken is that bright white rubber stuff that doesn't look like chicken. Chow mein was awful too

Popped in for a kebab. The meat had been kept in a pot for too long and had dried off. Not a great experience and will not try again.

Nosotros usamos esta tienda china de chip una vez a la semana y lo recomiendo encarecidamente la comida. El personal es muy amable y agradable. Nunca hemos tenido una comida china que no nos gustó. El menú en inglés es también muy bueno. Precios razonables y muy buen servicio.

This takeaway has recently been taken over, as stated the chips are lovely and crisp but the attitude served with them is terrible, we were regulars with previous owner, I went in last week asked for small portion of fried rice 'only one size' was the answer abruptly! They do do smaller sizes as my daughter got one previous week! Speaking of which they tried to charge my daughter I think 10p/20p more to which advertised, my daughter said it is on the menu on the wall ( fried rice) a certain price but the lady wanted extra money, she tried the same with me but I gave her 'correct' money advertised on wall, new menus printed(paper) are 10/20p more, If you change your prices make sure there all the same as printed, menus/wall are different if you have beady eyes!!! Anyway, if you have made a mistake with prices you should be charging the cheaper price as advertised not the dearer price you want (paper menu)(trading standards!) Their attitude towards my daughter and myself have lost custom! :/
