Absolutely love this!!! Can't describe how nice they do this, small fish and chips only £7 and it fills me to the brim with delight and wonder. Can't believe how cheap it is, filled my stomach. Just delicious. Nothing beats eating fish and chips on the way down to watch the beautiful sunset of penzance!

I when to Buzz fish and chip shop In Penzance Last Thursday I got fish and chips they were over cooked a lady wasn’t busy talking to her friend to he was getting dinner and there was this lady was with child after me she got her serviced before me which is not good and it was really rude and they should close down it wasn’t clean the staff are very rude please do not go to Buzz fish and there is a lady who is serving food she has hair down someone needs to tell put her up one day I found a hair in my chip box please don’t go to the buzz chip and fish shop

Extremely dry fish and under cooked chips Not worth the money and will not go back. For over £ 20 for 2 x fish and chips I would expect better . Very disappointed with the fish and chips and will not go back

This chip shop is very hit and miss, sometimes the food is great and other times just warm. Sometimes the pies are ok then other times they are baked to death in the microwave therefore, are like rock and very dry. I haven’t tried the cod but the roe was sliced very thin and in a lot of batter. As I said very hit and miss and always remember to check your change. Sometimes you get short changed

Buzzs is open from weds to Sat 4.45 to 7.30. Lunch thurs to sat 11.45 to 1.30. The business was closed for 1 week sept at end of Sept for repairs and holidays. This was posted in the window and tried to tell as many of the customers as possible. Sorry for any mix up or any inconvenience. We are now open so give us a call on 01736 367345. Perfect cod and huge chip portions, will be going again

Very nice fish and chips, but very expensive too.

Had the loveliest fish and chips today. Perfectly cooked, with just enough salt and vinegar. This place is my local. I’d highly recommend this fish and chip shop. The staff were very accommodating. Looking forward to my next visit.

Staff weren’t the friendliest, food was average. Overcooked fish, mushy peas were tasteless, chips ok if you’re in Penzance I’d go elsewhere.

Every chippy I've been to have accommodated for coeliacs, it's actually not that difficult. I even told the lady behind the counter I was coeliac & she suggested options that were gluten free. I then got back to find the chicken & chips completely cross contaminated with fried batter, no care for food standards whatsoever. Absolutely furious. I had to throw my entire meal straight in the bin, what a waste. They only got 1* because I had to put one down.

Rude, abrupt staff not welcoming at all. Food was ok, I’ve had better from other fish and chip Shops in Penzance. Couple of members of staff need to learn some customer service skills and how to smile. They seem not to like walk ins and rather have orders over the phone. I know in the current situation it’s better for them.

Nice cod batter was very good chips were very plain they forgot salt and vinegar Customer service was poor no manners what so ever

Fabulous friendly chippy food always fresh, delicious and piping hot and you can phone your order through in advance brilliant!

We tried most fish and chip shops in and around PZ during lockdown, and this has our vote for the best one. WHY? Fabulous quality fish, good size, lovely clean, non greasy chips and the batter is def the best!!!! Crunchy and non greasy. We phone up, get into an orderly queue socially distancing and are met by a real family, friendly local chip shop. We now try to go back every other week. Their COVID compliance is superb.

The restaurant is open locally were back to Buzz's fish and chips. I must admit I've forgotten how amazing they are even if I do have to queue outside in the rain for my dinner, my son is such a fan

Fast cooking time but no salad Available!!

I suffer from impaired vision and as I was struggling to see the menu the large woman behind the counter publicly and impolitely shouted at me to keep in line,I am also disabled and suffer from deficient lungs even though I was wearing a mask,the girl serving was lovely and polite,the fish and chips were average and on returning home my mushy peas that I had paid for were missing,I will return and speak my mind very soon,I am so sorry to have to write this report but the experience left me feeling really low as the locals were treated with far more respect than me

This is our lovely local chippy, excellent service the people are always happy to take a phone order and then my son picks up for us, he always tells me how nice the staff are too.

Stopped off here for chips before heading to landsend fireworks. We always look for a local chippy instead of the ones on the sea fronts when we are away as chips are better. We were not let down great chippy tea thank you.

Lovely little shop run by some spectacular chip heads! Possibly the best chippy this side of the pond. Wonderful staff did not question my friends and I sitting silently, unblinking eyes staring at one another (just the way we do things where we're from); but that's just professionalism I guess! Gave my holiday the buzz it really was lacking beforehand!

Been a couple of times first time went and was going to order enough food for a party we was at easily would have been £100+ asked if they had any fish and the cook said what you see is what we got so left and went elsewere 2nd time thought we would try and see what the foid would have been like and while there another person asked asked for something that was not already cooked and got told same as we had on our first visit that was untill the cook looked up and must have known the person as he changed his attatude become all friendly and said he will cook what it was he wanted Now i dont no if the cook is the owner or not but which ever he needs to look after all custermers not just ones he knows Food wise what we had which was only sausage and chips as nothing else left in precooked oven was pretty good a lot in cornwall seem to think everyone wants chips covered in batter and these were actuly traditional chips for once and sausage was usual chipshop sausage So better custermer sevice and more stars would have been given Please dont judge my typing i have Dyslexia had to copy and paste that

Talking to the lady behind the counter who loved my Glaswegian accent.Food is amazing.Tried a pea fritter.interesting too.couldn't eat that and a supper on top.was too much but food was awesome.

A good quality Fish n Chip take away

This is a very clean and high quality fish and chip shop. I've been eating here for years. All food is fresh and the place has the 5 star score on the door rating. It's kinda cool too because you have one person in the back cooking and one person in the front serving. Useless as a football formation but great for serving Fish N' Chips. I doubt the reviewer below got food poisoning here, it was probably from yet another "farm in winter / badly run camp site in summer" setup they were forced to stay in. And "too much" batter? Now come on, that's just silly. :)

Simply the best fish and chips in west Penrith.

Long wait for food to arrive, however when it was cooked it did taste quite nice, not too oily and a good price, little too much batter on the fish which was easily pulled off, however since eating I have felt extremely sick and all I can taste hours later is fish and chips and my stomach has been in pieces, my son also felt sick whilst eating it and had to stop and has since vomited 3 times he’s not supposed to be sick due to an operation he had so it was bad for him to vomit so many times, non of us had eaten after eating the fish and chips and we both felt fine beforehand and my daughter who had something different has been fine, I’ve not eaten here before so I don’t know if it’s a one off but it’s put me off eating here again

This chip shop has vegetarian options, but unfortunately they cook them in with the meat and fish! Therefore they are no longer vegetarian. It's really annoying, it would be great if they had a little separate deep fat fryer especially for these items so that us veggies can eat from there.

This is my local fish and chip shop. They are always friendly and have a loyal fan base of customers which are always queued outside the shop. I would recommend them to anyone. There is plenty of parking outside.

After travelling to two fish and chip shops in oenzsnce that were closed 'Buzz's fish and chips shop did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and the food was A star quality, the fish was very fresh, the chips were had a perfect salty taste and the curry sauce was the best I've ever had.

We visit this fish and chip shop quite regularly. Everything is cooked to order so it tastes really fresh. It is well worth a visit.
