The best restaurants serving Seafood food in North East Lincolnshire Yorkshire and The Humber

Date been 3/3/25 time been around 1700hrs,ordered fish and chips twice,large peas and gravy,sorry to say hard batter and warm chips not up to their normal standard will not be visiting again perhaps pre heated

Travelled from Mansfield to try this place out. Ordered 2 large Fish and chips. The fish was absolutely huge and cooked to order and came with a boat load of chips. The two women serving were super friendly and only too happy to help. The fish was super fresh and tasty and the batter was lovely, Definitely the best fish I've had in years. Next time I think we will go for a medium portion as the large fish and chips, you need a lie down after lol.

Very slow at delivering 2 hours later and still no food won't be ordering again

Well like all the many other reviews this place is HUGELY overpriced ! and the food is worse than a prison meal ! The main photos of them lovely long chips and thick fish with batter is NOT what is being served ! £24+ for 2 cod + chips. The 'cod' if there actually was any inside the overcooked batter ! The batter was overcooked and tastless. No tissues given, just sheets of greaseproof paper, like the old school toilet rolls. The chips were all small, burnt or what you'd find in the corner of a well used fryer ! The seating is terrible as you need to wedge your body in and out of the tiny gaps at the tables. This was 'supposed' to be a memorable meal ! Totaly ruined ! We were so angry the food quality was disgusting and we had paid over £24 for it ! We almost got charged 50p !!!!! for a small sachet of tomato sauce. If so many people are reviewing the same 1 star about the food quality and lack of fish.....SORT it out ! Stop ripping people off !

Fish &chips was excellent. Friendly service. Thankyou. Highly recommend we will eat here again. Only £9 for large fish & chips. Great value.

Tried this chippy again after a bad meal a year ago. Sorry to say it as not improved. Ordered fish, chips and peas and was very dissatisfied. The chips were OK but only just walk, the fish was over cooked, heavily battered and a bit of a bleach smell. The peas were just a lump of green stodge. Won't use again.

Used to go here it used to be lovely. Not sure if they have new owners but went here the other night as my regular was closed, never ever again. Ended up binning most of it and going elsewhere. Forgot part of my order didn’t realise until I’d got home. Most of the chips were rock solid and tasted like they’d been left there for days, my son cried because they were so inedible. I don’t normally leave reviews but this ticked me off as I paid £18 for some of my food to be missing and the rest of it to taste horrific. Rated one would have rated minus if this was possible

Food tasted good but had to wait an extra 45 mins for delivery and all food was cold 🥶 I would order again as this was a first time experience just to see if thae same thing happens again gutted and didn’t enjoy eating it after waiting so long

I used to visit Marklews many years ago but until recently moving back into the area. My last visit was shocking, how the times have changed Asked for fish & chips got charged for a large which then they said they give as standard? I wouldn't of minded but when I got home A. It was not a large size more a small/medium B. The quality was disappointing dark batter soggy & raw inside can tell the oil was very old gave me indigestion, fish wasn't that white lots of grey at bottom.
