Excellent choice for meeting up with friends from start to finish. We celebrated a sixty birthday here and we're delighted with the staff and menu. Fabulous choice of platters and individual dishes to suit everyone. A fun place to enjoy a wonderful unique dining experience in Ludlow.

My word! I don't often have fish and chips, maybe on a seaside holiday or nick a few chips off the kids, however, how I have never come to this takeaway before and in my opinion it blows 90% of the others out of the water. Friendly and accommodating staff, swift service and beautifully fresh, well cooked fish and for me, perfect chips. The cheeky little sausage in batter I added for a later snack was delicious too, batter still had a crunch not gone soggy. I will definitely be going again soon to try more delights, the smell of the curry sauce was almost intoxicating, what a gem on Fountain street, think the locals have been keeping this quiet! Bravo.

This Fish and Chip shop is quite simply the best in the wider area for quality of produce and value for money. The owner and staff are so very friendly and welcoming and always provide a great service and food. Itâs the only âChippyâ Iâll use in the area having used others that donât compare.

This is the second visit to this fish and chip shop ,the first time was good we just had chips on that occasion. This time we had fish and chips .one has to wait for the fish and chips to cook that's why they are so good the quality of the produce was brilliant fresh and extremely well cooked best chip shop for miles. It should have an award for the best fish and chips in Wales.

We went to a live music night outdoors, and reef and beef were there. We ordered scampi, salt and pepper squid and a fresh mackerel bap. All of them were cooked perfectly, good value portions and the mackerel was certainly fresh. Would highly recommend any or all of these - thank you reef and beef! We canât wait for the next time. Thanks đâ¤ď¸

Jomo has always been my favourite restaurant in Leam and weâve probably been five or six times since it opened. Sadly tonight was just not a good meal and not at all worth the money. We ordered bread and olives for a small starter - the olives never arrived. We ordered 2 x lobster and fries that were ÂŁ35 on the menu. After weâd ordered we were told the price had gone up 30% that day to ÂŁ45. We said ok despite that adding ÂŁ20 to our bill. The menu said lobster with garlic butter but it came covered in tomatoes which if the menu had said that, I wouldnât have ordered. I just expected like the menu said, garlic butter. We waited an hour for the main too. Like I say, we love Jomo but it just wasnât very good tonight. Really disappointing :(

Firstly an apology to Waz, I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to write a review for your bistro, and more over I'm sorry the adventure has ended; albeit a new one is now in motion. I came here at the request of a good friend of mine, and fellow food blogger back in December 2022. I was told that the chef knew his stuff, and that the food was very reminiscent of the street food cafes we had visited during our time in Morocco, and Southern France; my friend wasn't wrong. I ordered a starter of Calamari Fritters, served with a Garlic & Saffron Mayo, for the main a Roasted Quail accompanied by dauphinoise potatoes and a fig sauce, and for dessert my go to Christmas Pudding. My first impression of Waz's Bistro is that its a tidy affair, on par with some of the smaller bistros you would normally encounter in the city. The staff although young, were attentive, and if they were unsure would ask the kitchen. The wine list was hit and miss; so I stuck to dealers choice and ordered a cocktail. The starter arrived around the fifteen minute mark from order, not withstanding the location; wasn't to bad of a ticket time. The Calamari Fritters were crispy on the outside, and the Calamari succulent when chewed. The mayo added a nice bite as the garlic added a subtle dimension, the saffron was perfectly measured, and like the garlic added an extra dimension to the dish. The main course was roughly ten minutes from when the young chap took my entre plate away, again ticket times are clearly a priority to the chef. The Quail was unfortunately a bit drier than what I would have normally liked, but still ticked all the boxes regarding taste and presentation. The potatoes were just that, nothing abusive to the taste buds, nor offensive to the eye. The Fig Sauce though was something to behold, perfectly balanced, and complimented the quail beautifully; bravo Chef, Bravo! Now to the disappointment. After my plate was taken away, I was left for roughly twenty minutes before what in my eyes was a travesty. The Christmas Pudding was undercooked, and even though it was perfectly fruited, it was a trudge to eat it. The bill was thirty-five pounds excluding the cocktail, and to be honest that's cheap considering other Bistros. It was overall a great night out So how do I rate Waz? More so now that he's closed his doors. I believe a nod of respect to his talent, and acknowledgment of all he did for the industry in Bromsgrove is a good place to start Bon Chance Waz.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this chippy. I understand how busy they are sometimes but they definitely didn't cook some stuff properly in order to beat the rush. I had a battered sausage which honestly was still raw. I swallowed the first bite but on the second I had to spit it out. The chips were "okay", they were a bit mushy and greasy. Their pudding was very nice though. I'm just concerned over food safety standards if I've eaten some raw sausage and if this is what gets served often. If I didn't live far away I think I would have returned for a refund, infact I think I would still like a refund so may look to make a complaint. 2 stars as the staff were very friendly

As a treat, we thought weâd have a something from a fish & chip shop that we havenât used before âŚâŚ We wonât be returning!! Chips were very dry & would suspect that they were left over from lunchtime. Cost just over ÂŁ12.00 for mini fish, roe, medium chips, gravy & a chinese curry sauce. Gravy was tasteless, fish was dry, chips were extremely dry. Rather than take them, I thought Iâd write this & the majority of the food has just gone in the bin.
