Milton Chippy (Gluten free 7 days) in Stoke-on-Trent

What a great place! We aren’t local but we will definitely make an effort to come back. We were seeing Squeeze in Hanley so decided to come here beforehand as I saw the vegan and vegetarian menu was so good and it did not disappoint! Freshly cooked and delicious and what lovely people serving us. My husband also loved his fish and chips which he said were the best he had eaten in ages. We shall definitely be back - thank you so much!

Our first experience of this Fish & Chip shop. I have Celiac disease and therefore required gluten free food. I had Fish & Chips which were absolutely delicious. My husband had the normal Fish & Chips, again first -class. The owners were very nice people with a thorough understanding of Celiac requirements. Shop is spotless. We will certainly visit again. Can't wait!

This is a family favourite and we always go here when we visit Stoke. You can order online or call up. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The food never disappoints.

Gluten free fish and chips are amazing

Excellent fish, normally cooked to order. Chips are great, no greasy tasteless fish and chips here. Service is fast and attentive, great family business, and they are open 7 days a weeks. I have tried most of the chippies in the area and found none better!

My son who is coeliac rated this as the best chippy ever and the rest of us (not coeliac) agree. Food was hot - potions large and food was good quality. All served in a friendly and efficient manner. Shame we are not local - but when we pass this way again…

Excellent service, very tasty food, and all at a very reasonable price. There was a queue when we arrived which continued to grow, clearly a popular place. The vegan menu was excellent… even loads of exciting deserts to choose from. Gluten free very well catered for too. We’ll be back 😊

Always enjoyed having a takeaway from here but the past couple of visits we have been disappointed by the portion size. Won’t be going back.

What a brilliant chippy, staff are so friendly and the food is delicious, and a fantastic choice of vegan food. This place is 15 to 20 minutes away from my house but is now going to be my regular chippy.

The food is great but the the tiles by the door on the floor has you walk in are dangerous and very sharp the door was shut and when I walked in I gashed my leg on it I didn't think they were really bothered but now I have a big hole in my leg I have been bleeding ever since I asked them for a plaster which they give me but didn't seem to be concerned it made me feel right sick I think this needs looking at before it happens again

Asked for chips gravy . Got chips and curry when got home . Chips very dry and long black hair in food tray yuk waited 20 min girl food they more interested in telephone orders rather than people who take the time to come to there buduness

I’ve not had chippy chips for 36 years with being vegan,so when I stumbled across this amazing chip shop that caters for vegans and also gluten free I was so pleased ,so my first chippy in 36 years and it was amazing,I can’t compliment the owners enough ,not only was the food amazing the owners were so friendly and welcoming, I’m so glad I found this chip shop and I’m 100% sure I’ll be visiting again and again and again ,excellent

100% recommend especially if your coeliac. The gluten free choices are amazing! We always make a point of coming here when we’re in the area which isn’t often. The staff are super friendly and helpful. There is so much choice for GF options, it feels so nice to have a choice and the food is super tasty too.

First time trying this chip shop and it didn’t disappoint as someone who is coliec finding places to eat which are safe is a challenge, however after seeing the reviews from others etc I thought I give it a try, the chips and fish were done amazing with gluten free gravy O and I haven’t mentioned the gluten free cake too which was lovely too. The staff were really friendly and helpful too and very welcoming. I would 100% be coming back Keep up the good work

What an amazing little gem. Me and my family paid this place a visit for our tea, on the way back from Alton towers. the vegan options are amazing. The food is wunderbar, you get large portions that are well cooked, the puddings are also large and yum, and they have a lot to offer. The staff are so polite and helpful. I can't rave about this place enough, it's such a shame it's 90 miles away from where we live.

Visited here today for the 1st time following a recommendation from a close friend. Was absolutely mind blown by the quality of the fish and the portion size Vs price. I cannot recall the last time I enjoyed a chippy tea as much as that. Says it all really. I think I've found my new chippy and will most certainly be returning.

Drove past this place many times and thought it looked nice but never got around to stopping until recently and so glad I did. This is a family run chippy that serves traditional fish and chips and all the savouries you would expect from a chippy aswel as kebabs, burgers and chicken it also serves lots of deserts including whippee ice cream like you get from the ice cream van and a variety of milkshakes now you don't find that at most chippys. Another thing you don't find at most chipys but do here is gluten free and not just a few items there's a full menu with all the good stuff in gluten free which is fantastic for people who can't have gluten. I've tried quite a lot of the menu now and can say the batter on the fish and battered sausage is the best I've ever tasted oh and the potato fritters omg the best ever. The chips are also always perfect never any funny looking or tasting bits always fresh and tasty. Donner meat is also really tasty and never burnt or fatty there's also plenty of sauces to choose from. I've had the ice cream and can confirm it's as good as the mr whippee van and the milkshakes are also lovely. There is no delivery service provided however this is actually a positive thing in my opinion as you get to meet the wonderful family who run it they really do make this place what it is the best chippy in the area I always leave happier after seeing them and having a chat they're such lovely people. You can pay with card and you can park on the church car park opposite. I've just tried the gluten free fish and chips and can confirm it's just as good as the non gluten free. It's national fish and chips day so why not get your fish and chips from the best around and meet the lovely family who run it.

Perfect way to round off a magical trip on the Caldon Canal. Vegan chicken and mushroom pie was spot on. Falafels were tasty too. And let's not forget the generous portions of chips! Helps to make Milton a must-stop for any boaters passing through.

First time here today. The SF chicken was lovely, the chicken was moist and the coating was crispy. The chips were evenly cooked and the gravy was tasty. I would have given it 5 stars but the burger was a little dry. I'll try the desserts next time. The service was friendly and welcoming.

Delicious gluten free fish and chips

I've been wanting to try this place for such a long time since i began working in the area nearly a month ago. So because my break schedule wasn't playing ball monday to friday, i packed the family in the car and drove 45 minutes to try it on a saturday! Mind-blowing choice for vegans and the entire family loved it. I've already got orders from my wife if i ever happen to be in the area again on the way home 😅

Fantastic chips! The food here has always been very good, all the food is fresh and hot when I arrive to collect. The main benefit of eating here is that the staff are very good with allergies and label the food to make sure it does not get confused, especially on larger orders with multiple allergies.

To be able to be given a choice in Stoke On Trent for vegan food is life changing! Always helpful, on time and can order online or pre order. Best Gluten Free chips around & the loveliest staff!

I come here from about 30mins away as it's the only chippy that has a really good gluten free menu. It's great to have some fast food that isn't risky. I have Celiac Disease and I've never had a reaction eating from here.

What a birthday treat. We have been here a few times now as it’s definitely the best chippy we have been to. I love how you can order online and choose a time that suits you to collect it. The staff are absolutely lovely, so friendly. The food is great, we are never left hungry- tried the gluten free onion rings- they were amazing. Thanks Milton Chippy for my excellent birthday tea.

I recently found out I’m gluten intolerant and was really having trouble adapting to the new diet missing all my favourite meals. One being battered fish, chips and peas on a weekend. Also my daughter is vegetarian so we tried this place last night and it was excellent. For such a busy place they seemed very well organised and got my order, 1 vegan meal, 1 gluten free and 1 normal diet for my partner, all cooked, prepared and labelled correctly and tasted amazing. 3 very big smiles and full belly’s so 6 thumbs up from us, and we will be returning next weekend for another family treat. Also worth a mention, the staff were very polite and a credit to this place.

Thought we would try this as heard lots of great reviews. To be honest we weren’t overwhelmed. Had 2 small fish boxes with curry. There was hardly any curry sauce and the fish were heavily battered and about 2 inches was just batter and no fish. Pie box, the pie was hard as been overdone and a chip bap which was ok. Chips were good but don’t think we will return sadly

I come from Biddulph to use this chippy. I order online and by the time I have driven the 15mins it’s ready. The fact that they do a great range of gluten free options is fab. I have tried the salt and chilli chicken which was lovely, my husband had a fish which was also very nice. The gluten free curry sauce is amazing. It is extremely reassuring knowing that they are fully aware of someone with coeliac disease, so I can enjoy my food without the worry of contamination. I am going to work my way down the gluten free menu eventually. The portion sizes are good and the price is also good. The staff are polite and friendly, and I would recommend it to anyone, whether you need gluten free or not, they also have a vegan menu. See you again soon
