Best fish and chips in herne bay

Lovely restaurant overlooking the sea. Excellent food, reasonably priced and friendly staff

I absolutely love this place it is by far the best best best fish and chip shop In herne bay! Reasonable prices the man there is always so lovely and friendly the portion sizes are amazing, this is my local chip shop now, he’s always so kind to my daughter who usually collects as I wait in the car but I’ve certainly not found better than this place you will not be disappointed

The service was good and the people are friendly but I paid just over £30 for this including the coke and was very disappointed when I opened it up once I was home. Then to make it worse the chips were dry and soft. Really disappointed and genuinely feel like I’ve over paid.

I've tried alot.of chip ships in Hern Bay, and this one is the best in my opinion. Prices in Herne Bay for fish and chips are generally high but this place the prices were good. I was welcomed by the owner and his assistant as I walked in and they were very friendly people, good efficient and quality service and the chips were just right. Good butter crisp with the soft fluffiness in the middle. Thank you again. I will be returning very soon and many more weekends.

Dreadful cod fish, over battered and dry, I think it was cooked twice. Too many small chips. Overpriced very disappointing after going there for years. Dreadful.

Great customer service but why large cod hardly fill me up as a boatmen. As always chips is what fill you not the fish as we going for the fish mainly 🫨

Silly boy didn’t ask if I wanted the chips closed or open. Decided to close them, then when I asked can I have them open he said “too late”. Bless his socks, was clearly having a bad day. Went back to ask him to open them. He did after some convincing. In an extremely sassy manner. Muttering under his breath. Even said “well you’re wrong, not me”. Whatever you say lad just serve me my food, I ordered fish and chips not waffle. Ps. Not enough salt.

We ordered a hot and cold selection of seafood. The hot dish was awful. The fish was frozen and very uniformed and the batter stodgy. One so called prawn had no prawn in it - just a lump of batter. All processed and revolting for £6.50. The cold dish slightly better but cheap crab sticks. Considering the place is well known for fish we would have got better in Iceland supermarket!

Amazing staff and lovely drink, was a very relaxing experience and would recommend. Food prepared fresh and to serve, nothing bad to say.

The food was awfull, water has more flavour than the fish and chips. We got an overdose fat. We gained 5 kilo each. It was like a bathtub filled with fat. Dont go here. We had to put 500 grams of salt on the meal to make it bearable.

I didn’t like my skate very much, though my three family members liked their cod, plaice and chicken burger. Chips good. Unfortunately it was bloody expensive.

Fish & Chips was brilliant, both are crispy. Oysters was fresh for sure.

I called them 20 minutes after the order delivery time and was told that they didn’t have a driver. The didn’t contact me before that. I tried to advise them to cancel but was told that I had to do it through “the app” , which I tried without succe
