Love Ossies. Always generous with the portion sizes and reasonable prices, too. Always given a little portion of chips to nibble whilst waiting.

Worst Sausage and chips in my whole 44 years of living. Chips were raw and I mean RAW. Sausage tasted very strange and hardly any batter.

I absolutely love my fish and chips, and Ossies fish bar is definitely in my top 5 as the food here is on point, everything you would expect from a top quality outlet.

Popped into Ossies after starting a large scout incident hike from the local primary school. A number of leaders needed their scoff, and we couldn’t have been better served! Very friendly, superb service and few extras to take back to those waiting at the school. Best fish and chips in a long time too.

Freshly cooked fish and you usually get a free little bag of chips while you wait!

Throw it in bin. Everything was double cooked chips, saveloy etc. Saveloy was that hard could of used it as a weapon. Chips where dry and hard.

The chap in this establishment goes out of his way to be polite and helpful. If he has a failing, it is providing portions larger than I can eat!

Been going here for years whenever I fancy a takeout, really kind staff, family run and you get a small bag of chips on the house whilst you wait. I reccommend to anyone in the area, TRY THIS place you wont be dissapointed.

We visited the branch in green hill, Herne Bay. The staff was very welcoming and as they was cooking fresh chips they offered a few in a pot to try while waiting which was more the generous of them. They was friendly and chatty. The portions was huge and the food was fresh and lovely. Hard to find a good fish and chip shop these days but we would very highly recommend. Fish was soft inside and crispy batter and chips was perfect.

Stopped in today...the lady was very friendly. I asked for battered sausage and saveloy and she threw in some chips on the house(thank u)..such a lovely gesture. Food was excellent lucky to have such a good chippie near by...must be something about chippies called Ossie's! 👍

Such a great place to eat, the Food here is cooked to perfection. It can get very busy in the evening's. They are open at 11am and close at 21:30

Not worth it' been there twice when i draw home the food was cold so just had abit of it and throw the rest in the bean. also there chicken twice made me fell dizzy and sick at first i was tho it might not be their food however when i bought the second time me and my mate ate it and we both were nearly getting ill I don't know it might be because of their poor quality meat and chips or oil! Can't use it anymore as not worth it tbh. Shame i use to buy it all the time before then stopped it for a whil. So not guna go ther anymore and won't recommend it to anyone!

Best fish n chips over and above every other chip shop in hernebay. They give you a sample portion of chips whilst you wait for your order. Very friendly staff. Always smiling they are. Excellent service and food

Excellent fast service and great value. Portion size was huge and great quality. Lovely thin crispy batter on fish, cooked to perfection. Chips were lovely and chunky and very tasty. Only wish this was in my area but unfortunately we were only visiting. Next time we are back (soon hopefully) we will definitely be back. GREAT FOOD.

Been twice recently. Pies microwaved and not successfully. It was thrown away. Second visit on a busy Friday. Pie needed Microwaving again declined. Brought Fish and Sausages with Chips. Both trips Chips have been awful. Its had a change of Staff. Bring back the old staff .

Really excellent fish bar. The food was really nice a great portion size and good value for money. The staff and owner was a really nice man and very helpful.

This fish bar was the best in Herne bay. Since the guy who ran it left it has turned rubbish and we now travel 2.5 miles to get our food instead. The chips are always overcooked and hard and anything that isnt ready in the hot cabinet takes so long to cook from fresh. Bring back the guy who ran it before.

Set back off the coast road, with parking nearby. Charming young waitresses, varied menu all very reasonably priced.. We both had fish and chips which very hot, tasty and more than we could eat. Had to save room for the spotted dick and custard.!

I don't eat fish and chips very often but in herne bay this is the best chippie I have found the chips are hot and crispy on the outside and the batter for the fish is crunchy. The staff are very helpful Overall brilliant fish snd chips

Deffo worth a visit, nice clean premises and very helpful staff, food cooked fresh and minimal wait, offered a small cone of chips as order is being prepared. Good value for money and delicious food.

Such a great location and on the way home but to be honest often disappointing. Have tried leaving it alone for a while and trying again but the staff seem a bit slap dash maybe just when the owner not there. Sorry to be so blunt but it is a shame as in times gone by it was a lot better.

Excellent fresh fish good value, you might need to book a table in the day as its very popular. Staff friendly and helpful, relaxing and close to the beach. They sell more than fish and chips, have a wide menu of other dishes, and puddings.

two happy workers serving up good fish and chips. Hard to find as off the main road but well worth looking for. Only had one portion of chips between both of us and that was plenty. Fish melted in our mouths.

weren't up to much, the batter was heavy very greasy, service was quick and with a smile but food a let down, will go back into Whitstable for fish and chips from now on

The shop at the end of our road has been empty for a few years now, so we were delighted when the sign for Ossie's appeared! We have had fish and chips from this shop a few times already and it's always delicious.Good prices and fab food, visit them soon!
