Not bad food wise. Took a while to cook up but that's more my fault for the time I attended but that aside pretty good.

Very very expensive, £3.50 for a battered sausage , drop your prices please £25.50 for 5 sausages and 2 portions of chips …… extortionate

First visit. Could not get order right even when telling them I've not paid enough. Food very greasy. Sorry, won't be back

The shop is full of rude workers who have poor customer service skills.

As other have said, the workers there are very disrespectful towards customers.

We have used this fish and chip shop in the past and have been happy with it. However, the food last night was of a terrible standard. The savaloy was undercooked and cold. Medium cod was ordered and we were given 2 very small bits which was pretty much just overcooked batter with next to no fish. The donner meat was really rubbery and there was so much (which Would have been great if it was actually nice) and the mushy peas were revolting!! So disappointing as food is so expensive these days. I'm pretty sure food being served like that should get them closed now.

Bought a family dinner, all the chips were barely cooked, anemic and soggy. Called up and was refused any replacement or refund and then was hung up on. Appalling customer service and the worst chips I have ever bought. Only nice thing we got were the sausages and savaloy

This restaurant was really unhelpful, sent us the wrong order and refused to replace it or speak to us about it. Their attitude stinks as refused to accept they’d made an error blaming the delivery driver. Certainly won’t be using again and recommend others don’t too.

Worst chip shop in Kent that I have been in.the chips were rock hard and cold and the sausages where burnt and hard.even my dog turned her nose up at them.Went back to the shop and asked nicely if they wouldn't replacing them and I got refused to replace the food or give us a refund.discusting food and customer service.

Ours was the first meal on the first day reopening, so I expected a slight decline in quality. Did not expect dry from cooking too hot and soggy from complete lack of drainage. Made us quite ill, and there was a complete lack of empathy when we told them

DONT ORDER KEBAB FROM ANY WHERE ELSE IN CANTERBURY BUT FROM HERE !!! Best kebab massive potion , so much better than any where else , I order a lot and trust me try it the best in Canterbury by far!!

Got kebab and chips it was nice but too much for a small size I'm not talking about the price,also breast of chicken feel that needed to be bigger the chips were great but too many for small portion ,but will go back again and maybe buy chips and kebab meat between us x

The worse thing about it is the parking arrangement. But food was very tasty and made up for the traffic to get across town.

Large cod as "big" as a fish finger which cost £10. The food was cold (deliveroo's fault). The chips were nice enough. The staff are incredibly rude and generally lack the skills to communicate with their customers. Seriously don't bother unless you're desperate!

Had regular haddock and chips today at lunchtime. Absolute joke, the fish was wafer thin and the size of two fingers, chips were luke warm and very pale in appearance. Will not visit here again.

Closed, note in the window they are on holiday!!! This is school holiday time, strange time for a business like this to be closed.

The chips that was left over from the afternoon recooked for evening meal and the fish was so small this chip shop is not a proper fish shop appalling

Well, they have once again returned to producing average/good food bar one change they made and thats the donner kabab meat. Its a bit rubbery in texture and is the best way to describe it. I guess its also cheaper that the usual type of meat they used, but cheaper does not always equate with more money flowing in. The salads are fresh. They have pulled back from the brink, for how long only time will tell We dont vary much from this food so we know good when its good. I suggest they change their meat back to what it was.

Food tonight was really bad, two pies one was stone cold the other was solid, sausages so dry you couldn't swallow them and hollow fish cakes, used to get food here regularly but that's twice in a row we have had bad food, won't be going back

We had four large fish and three chips for the four of us. Needless to say there was plenty of food. The batter on the fish was truly crispy and the fish itself was melt in the mouth. The chips were plentiful and were traditional chips, well cooked. The temperature of the food was well maintained, even though we took fifteen minutes or so to get 'home' to eat.

I have just went there for a mix doner and to be honest after waiting 25 min I got my doner…meat is old so dry,staff is unqualified,and the price for a mix doner was 7.90 £…sorry guys but if I knew I would have this experience…I would’ve gone to German Doner in City Centre…I won’t be coming to you guys anymore!!!

My preferred Canterbury Chip Shop. Portion sizes are a lot more generous than others I've been too and tastes good!

Well I,ll tell it as it is. This is probably the worst meal I have had from this place and its not the second or third time either. The meat was under cooked when asked to do it well done, the chip were burnt and dark brownish colour and tasted burnt. There was far too much chillie sauce. A chicken fillet burger had space for a second piece of chicken it was that small. The food has made the family ill. My advice is to avoid this place until they change their attitude as they dont care what they serve up.

Rotten missed food on the order so my kids did not have there sausages the wraps had stale old lettuce in and tk top it off chips were black stale and had long ladies hairs in my kids were pulling long hairs out there chips so it all went in the bin waste of money.

Waited about 10 mins as they said they were putting fresh chips in it they was not fresh and the steak and kidney pie was solid and very dry

Fish was saturated in oil Chips over cooked not value for money.

Savaloy was cold and not cooked properly, pie was cold and chips were salted even though asked for no salt, rubbish food, looking forward to this and was very dissapointed

The food was really good and the service was amazing. The portions you get are great value for money, the prices are slightly more expensive than they would in London, but it's Canterbury so that makes sense. This was not all the chips or all of the wrap, there was a lot more.

Best fish in Canterbury. The only place I've ever been to that cooks fish FRESHLY for you EVERY TIME. Fantastic. Can't recommend enough.

Things have changed after my visit on Friday the fish is no where near as good as before.

Quality food with many different tastes, unfortunately when I was there some of them were missing. Above all it's a good place with relaxing environment

Good quality meat and the place is clean also. You must try there chilli sauce it's homemade and very nice. Only thing is they do not serve it hot it is straight from a fridge. My advice put it in a Bain Marie and serve hot it would be so much better. I would recommend for a kebab haven't tried the fish.

I was served with the most revolting tasting fish I have ever tried to eat. I ordered cod, but tasted like something out of river. Muddy taste and grey looking. Threw it away and vowed never to buy from here again.. There are not any really good fish and chip shops in Canterbury, and all overpriced. Do as the locals do, go to the coast for proper tasty fish and chips.

This always been a hit and miss fish and chip shop, but just lately it is a gamble on the taste and quality of the food being served. We bought 4 cod and chips from there last week, and it was repulsive. I thought it was just me, as my fish had a grey hue to it, but my wife and guests decided they could not eat it either. It had a ghastly taste, certainly not what you expect cod to taste like. The chips were a mixture of reheated and freshly cooked underdone. I have never seen cod this grey before. We immediately dumped them in the bin and drove to Herne Bay, and the difference was staggering, beautiful tasty white fish, just like it should be. I would have no hesitation advising people NOT to use the Sealand Fish and Chip shop in Sturry Road , Canterbury.

I visited this fish bar for a quick easy takeaway however this has proved the worst fish and chips I have ever bought in my life. I bought a large cod and large chips and it was the biggest mistake of my life. The cod was slim and undercooked and very watery. The chips were burnt and overlooked. I've attached a picture. Good riddens to anyone who eats from this place.
