Delighted with my spur of the moment to treat myself to fried fish. Cooked to order in 6 mins and really fresh generous portion. Excellent value. Friendly staff . Such a welcome contrast to the over priced famous local fish restaurant near here that is almost always a big disappointment these days.

After having our fish, chips and mushy peas at the weekend I felt the need to say just how absolutely wonderful the whole experience was at Ken's Fish Bar in Herne Hill. The value for money, the lovely friendly welcome and the top quality food was as good as it gets. A very well deserved 10/10.

Conveniently located next to our Travelodge stay during our week trip. We read the raving reviews so we had to come try the fish and chips. It's not a fancy looking place but honestly, places that have this humble and authentic look will sometimes serve the BEST food. Masters Superfish did not disappoint. Lovely service, quick food, very tasty. I'd definitely return and recommend to whoever is looking for a proper fish and chippy.

Nice looking restaurant inside ,very friendly staff , table for 2 witch was a pocky little bench seat tucked out of the way in the corner , not so bad as I like being out of the way , looking forward to some lobster I ordered a half witch turned up promptly with my wife scallops witch were lovely 😍 she said , mine was no good so I told the waiter he asked if I wanted another which I declined, mains steak came with sweat potoe and mushroom and spinach and it was lovely my wife's monkfish was good to , 4 cans of beer and a gin and tonic ,and £240 latter we left , didn't have to pay for the crustacean that I couldn't eat , ??????

The setting is lovely but the food is expensive and not impressive. We shared a variety of dishes and only the mussels were satisfying. The octopus roll consisted of a very large roll with a skimpy tentacle smothered in a sticky sauce-nothing like the lobster roll the waiter implied. The potato dish was similarly decorated with a sticky, unappealing sauce. The crab, served on another unappealing piece of bread was tasty. We also shared a tomato salad and a few other unmemorable items. The bill was over 175 pounds for 3 of us with 2 glasses of wine and a beer.

Had one of the best seafood meals I’ve ever had. The scallops in particular stood out as sublime. Delicious cold champagne by the glass set off our attractive plate of oysters very well. Risotto was excellent. Service was very prompt even though the place was packed. My only criticism would be that they never seem to offer a chocolate dessert!

I am very pleased with this beautiful seafood restaurant, having eaten outside from the fish and chips section many times and also having visited the restaurant section many times. The staff are very attentive, the food comes very fast and hot. There is also a nice atmosphere in the evenings. I have definitely tried the special dishes but they were all very good, even the fish soup was delicious. If you like seafood, definitely go to the restaurant section.

As a previous review advised, the portions are quite large, but smaller and tastier bites would be preferred. I would say that the food is of average quality (nothing like the real Ecuadorian food) but with quite high prices. Be aware that they charged us £4 for a small bottle of water! Yes, not even in fine restaurants I have been charged that much! Please check your bills before you pay! We prefer quality food rather than quantity, therefore we won't return to this place.

Lovely service really kind man. Big portions and really old school kind of chips . Luckily he gave us a little portion for my toddler to walk home with :)
