Never enough food, small portions, not pleasant the next day. I’ve been here twice hoping for some decent food. Ok, I had a few pints beforehand but i was disappointed with the selection each time. The portions for the price wasn’t really that good and whatever they cook with should be illegal. Never have I had the splatters so badly the following day. Avoid

Excellent fish & chips. Cod was moist and tender with crispy batter. Chips had the right amount of crunch... not too much, not too little! Completely unpretentious, good fish & chips. Reasonable servings. Only one tiny downer... fish & chips advertised at UKP5, but we were charged UK6. Apparently there's an extra one pound if you want to sit at a little table inside to eat.

Truly one of the best fish and chips shops around. I actually live north of the river and walk over as our local fish and chip shops are abysmal. Such amazingly fresh fish and generous portions and excellent prices.

Al visitar Inglaterra para la boda de sobrinas, mis dos hijos y yo comimos en esta pequeña tienda al día siguiente y todos creemos que valió la pena el viaje. Good find. This hole in the wall fish and chips place is good. In addition to the fish & chips we got the hummus which was tasty. There are two tables on the back.

This was our second trip to this place. I liked it so much the first time that I had to add it to TripAdvisor. We have since tried other fish & chip takeaways and have more to compare it with. The others have been disappointing. Here it's fresh and crisp. No complaints. It's worth the extra travel time for us.

I was by Tower bridge and was looking for fish n chips to eat. I found this place on google and had a rating of 4.6! Well, maybe I was unlucky with with my fish and chip! The portion size was good. BUT.,by no means was it anywhere close to the quality I was expecting....The chips were old and the oil that they were cooked in was was definitely old too. They tasted of old oil, hard and chewy! I found some edible ones , but they were mushy and most of them stuck together! The Fish was not fresh, tasted bland and was dry! Did I eat it all? I ate 1/3 chips and 3/4 fish. Would I go back there? Hell no....

Had the fish and chips here after reading off the comments in this page and am indeed in love with the way it turned out. The fillet was huge and significantly juicy and heavenly. Coupled that with tartar sauce and chilli sauce and you're in for a treat! Their chips were fat and juicy as well - just the way I like it. You know, those fish and chips that when you bite on them, you get those watery stuffs trailing out from the flesh. Now that's excellent food right there! If ever I get to go back to London, this would be the first joint I would dine in.

After realising most restaurants closed early in London, we learned that the only way to eat was to eat early. Searching “fish and chips near me“ we found Johnny’s. Short waiting time and ma and pa atmosphere really brings this place together on top of the amazing fish and chips. Next time where in town we will definitely stop by again.

The most disguising chips I've ever had ...was not cooked still raw and cold .... will not go back there again the owner needs lessons on how to cook
