The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

Great fish and chips. Cooked to order, so a little wait required but completely worth it. Flaky fish in a crisp batter with tasty chips. Excellent every time.

Great food, friendly staff and good service. However, the seating was very cramped. Despite all of our table being of normal BMI we could literally only get one buttock on the bench. Thankfully a party of four on another table cancelled at short notice so we moved. This also helped the others on the table that we moved to. Recommendation: reduce the number of people per table or put a chair at each end of the table thereby taking two bums off the benches.

Incredible food that takes you on a journey all around your palate... This one will live long in the memory... We chose the 6 course tasting menu with wines. The Japanese white and Lebanese blush were both great finds as were the Seville orange wine and the white Rioja (can't remember the names!!)... Service was well paved and really friendly. Both elements combining to create a really relaxed atmosphere throughout the small and intimate restaurant. The self described wine fairy (sommelier) was enthusiastic, bubbly and clearly knew her stuff - wine matching was interesting and matched perfectly the imaginative flavours in the food. No mean feat... Can't speak highly enough about every aspect of a great evening.

En lo que respecta a las pescaderías, esto tiene que ser lo mejor en lo que he estado. La comida era genial, el servidor era tan educado, lo recomendaría a cualquiera que pasara por o en la zona. A++++++

Simply the best. We are down from Yorkshire and we've always said that Magpie's fish and chips in Whitby are the best...BUT not any more. These are best we have ever tasted..so we visited here twice in a week. The chips are double cooked the batter is light and crispy..I usually pick off some batter but not this time. The large pot of minted mushy peas (who knew they would go so well) and the curry sauce were divine, as was the home made tartar sauce. Staff were lovely and decor modern fresh and clean with lovely harbour views. You simply must visit this little gem.

60 mile round trip only to find restaurant closed even though website says it was open. Surely you can amend your website to advise the piblic of the current position. Will I go back no.

The food was exceptional, if you are visiting in the future I would strongly recommend the Bang Bang Hake. I would definitely visit again if I end up in Southend for work again.

We had lunch yesterday (Saturday) at The Shell. Our waitress Mery welcomed us and showed us to our table. She was very welcoming and friendly. Food came promptly and everything was delicious. We ordered the ribeye steak, the charcoal grilled octopus leg and the lobster linguine. The offers make this meal a very good value for money. We will definitely come back again.

The best Thai ,Vietnamese restaurant What is there not to love about this restaurant the food is absolutely amazing we found this absolute gem of a restaurant about a year ago and can't stop eating there we go once a week as, we are away on business and this is a must try place food amazing staff amazing atmosphere amazing Valley for money ,out of this world from me and the team at CCGI THANK YOU.

Been visiting here atleast once a month for years but the latest visit left us very disappointed. Usually we order 3 regular fish and chips but due to the menu board saying only small and jumbo fish available i ordered 3 small, only to notice just after ordering it states in very small writing 'regular when available' so i asked if they had regular and could i change my order, they had literally only managed to serve the person behind me it was that quick. The request was passed on to the guy frying and wow to say he didn't seem pleased would be an understatement, because he had already put the small fish in the fryer? Awkward. Either you can change the order or not no need to act like i was trying to con the place. Thankfully the girl who was serving me said she could alter the order as people came in and ordered small fish and asked me to give it a minute or two. A few minutes passed and she called me over and asked for a further £13? I asked why is it that much for 3 regular over 3 small fish and she said they are jumbo? I said i asked for regular and she said regular are jumbo? I said i didn't want 3 jumbo as we have had jumbo previously and they are usually very big? So i said I'd take 2 jumbo as we could just share the fish out. All good until we came to share out the fish, we have been to this fish ship many times and i can confidently say the fish where no bigger than the usual regular (one maybe smaller) and no way jumbo! I understand people can have off days and i also understand prices everywhere have gone up but selling regular fish as jumbo resulting in 2 normal portions of fish and chips for £30 is way overpriced. Servers tried their best though. Such a shame.

Had a fantastic takeaway from Morans in Westward ho! Prepared quickly and presented nicely. The taste was great. Would recommend the Yakisoba and the Satay even for kids.

Lovely fish restaurant located on Bearsted Green. Had the scallop starter, which were so sweet. Staff were attentive, friendly, and reassured us that there was no rush in making our choices.

Best chippy! Always come here when I’m back in town
