Awesome variety of flavours, great local ales, very friendly staff! We had an amazing experience ❤️

We walked in for an early lunch and just beat the rush. The food was excellent, a menu of small plates that all sounded mouth-watering. A highlight was the crab loaded fries! The space is small so go early to grab a spot. The range of beers from Verdant Brewery is also good with regular rotation of interesting choices. We were encouraged to visit after Michael Portillo’s Devon and Cornwall documentary and were not disappointed!

Arranged to go to the Seafood Tapas bar as I adore Verdant beer and Tapas.. The food was very good and the service was second to none. Recommend to anyone.

Great beer, great atmosphere, great place. Good prices on drinks, I'll have to return someday to try the food. Staff are friendly, Cordelia is a delight. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to get out the way for an hour

Amazing food, everything was cooked so well and tasted great! The staff were extremely lovely and welcoming especially the lady in the colourful dungarees :) we had a range of plates and everything was so tasty! Also the nicest atmosphere, is fairly small but super cosy.

Warm welcome to this dog friendly tap room and restaurant. The food was excellent. Served as small plates and a large choice of 8 different beers, of which my husband tried 3 halves (I was the designated driver!). Very friendly service and we would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing meal here on our visit to Falmouth. It’s a small restaurant down a side street off the high street. The style is like seafood tapas. All really fresh, they were really accommodating to us with our baby and they let us bring in our dog. Would definitely recommend, food is 10/10.

Small restaurant, tapas style. Fantastic food, great beers. Be prepared to wait especially if you’re in a bigger group (>3) as it is a very small restaurant with probably about 24 covers. Beers can be in 1/3s which means you can try lots out! Kimchi fritters were a satisfying texture on the inside with a crispy exterior, sardines were crispy, not too heavy with the lemon. Scallops were very good with the sweetcorn, onion, pancetta and cashew sauce

Absolutely best seafood tapas in Falmouth and verdant beer. Great atmosphere, excellent knowledge and service. Can't fault it. A must visit

One of Falmouth's hidden gems, this tiny little nook serves seafood tapas, and great beers from the local brewery. What's not to love? You can't book, so be prepared to wait (especially in summer), but food is always terrific....and so is the beer....

The fish bar has two rooms. The room we were in is very small, has 5 tables. There is no air circulation in the room. A room without windows. Pet friendly bar. I understood that the bar is popular with locals and they recommended that we have dinner there. The food was prepared deliciously.

Simply amazing food with a good buzz and of course, plenty of Verdant beer.

Wow wow wow.. .delic tapas style...so much variety. Everything was fantastic. The basque cheesecake hit hard. Only thing I'd say is they should have some nice spirits to finish like Raki or Armagnac...or the like. Oh and the music straight from my top hits list...B Boys, Tribe...Biggie

Found this place by chance as I was walking around to find a spot for seafood. The restaurant was rustic, keeping its historic charm, the staff were very welcoming and made time to converse and help me pick out options based on how hungry I was. I sat at the bar front and it was enjoyable as locals came in for drinks and being part of the conversation I Tried their oysters and crowd favourite crab loaded cheese. Both were amazing and would come again to try different options in the menu

Firstly, thanks to the 4 blokes waiting at the entrance for a table, they convinced me it was worth waiting a bit to go in and eat. We went in, nice and cosy, great brews. Food was amazing, never have I ever had better sardines, oysters fresh to death. Scallops cooked to perfection and the Hake was amazing too. All in all, decent prices for amazing food and drinks. Service and atmosphere were very good as well, felt homey and chilled. Definitely recommend it.

I come here every time I'm in Falmouth, the food is incredible! Staff are friendly and welcoming, easily in the top 3 best places to eat in Cornwall, keep doing what you're doing, can't fault it at all!

Incredible selection of delicious small dishes and beers to enjoy in a cosy atmosphere. Staff’s got excellent recommendations and is incredibly welcoming. The fish tacos and asparagus are excellent and the crab-loaded chips are to die for. A must-visit in Falmouth.

We visited on three occasions over three days. The first two times was to sample their beautiful beers, the third was to experience some superb small plates. The Verdant beer selection did not disappoint! They serve thirds, halves and two thirds. (Not pints) The small plates we tried were outstanding, with a particular mention to the cevice tostada.. totally sublime flavours. It was also a nice touch getting some mini complementary bites while making our menu selection

Terrific food, great beer and really friendly staff

Amazing food paired with fantastic beers from one of the best craft breweries in the country. You might need to queue and wait but it’s absolutely worth it! Fresh fish/veg dishes on small plates at a reasonable price, variations on the classics in a cozy lower ground setting. Helpful staff who really want you to make the most of your visit. Will definitely return.

We got there on a Friday at 9 p.m. A bit late as we had only landed in London on the same day. 😅 We got a place straight away, but that also had to do with luck, as one for two guests had just become available. A larger group had to wait longer outside. We ate a lot of different dishes and I thought everything was delicious. The dessert was also great! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. As expected, beer was delicious! The only downside is that it is really a very small restaurant, there is little space, it gets warm quickly and there is no reception in the restaurant. 😂 I still really liked it and it was exactly the right thing after a 14 hour journey. In Falmouth week, we waited around 25 mins as they only take walk-ins but it was well worth the wait. We had the most amazing small plates of scallops, hake, tomatoes & green beans.

Fantastic little place, with great beers and a menu of small plate seafood dishes. Between us we had one of almost everything on the menu, and every single dish was incredible - the scallops a particular highlight. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere - no wonder there was a queue to get in!

Great beers and seafood in a very cool space. Range of five or six Verdant beers on tap. Small plates of great seafood. Amazing sardines and every dish was different and really interesting.

Been here twice now and the food is excellent! One of my favourite places in Falmouth. Changing small but carefully curated menu of delicious seafood sharing dishes and sides. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Good choice of beers (as you’d expect!) and other drinks. Highlights were the kimchi fritters, hake and agretti and taramasalata, and the prawns with chimmichurri. Chefs clearly know how to cook seafood well. Small with limited covers so expect gets busy at peak times. Dog friendly.

I’ve been a fan of verdant beers for a few years and the 2 I had were incredible. Not normally a big seafood lover, but here has converted me! The hake was incredible, as were the scallops. I tried an oyster for the first time too and that was also amazing. The server was incredibly helpful, cant recommend enough!

Oh my, this place is fab. Our food was delicious. I'm still thinking about the flavours and textures. Some dishes you cannot do at home. So Verdsnt is a must. The service was excellent. We had a lovely warm welcome and nice chat too. It's a really great vibe. Will definitely be back, thank you.

Outstanding little place. Quality food/staff/beer/service. The wife, child and I were down from Newcastle for the week, and this was the best food we ate. The loaded crab fries were unbelievable. Obviously the beers are top notch, with being ran by Verdant (we visited the brewery after too) Quality find. Just gutted it’s so far away! 👌🏼

Lovely light lunch, delicious food (particularly the crab fries) and excellent beer. Service was good, quick and informative. Could have had a lot more if the beer if only I hadn’t got an evening out booked later on!

This is an absolute gem! Staff are super friendly and helpful and the selection of food that can be done gluten free is fantastic. A great range of beers and some nice alternatives if you can't indulge in their Verdant tap range - which I am told was great. Highly recommend checking this place out- you won't be disappointed.

Very small basement bar with a relaxed vibe and lovely small plates. Been several times and always good. Changing menu of Verdant beers sold in various sizes, house wine is spot on too. Crab loaded fries are excellent, as are Prawns and Fish finger roll. You can't book so get there early to get a table. It really is worth a visit.

Great micro brewery, the bar staff were super fun, shout out to the girl serving, she was brilliant. Very small but that gives the best atmosphere I think. probably hard to get a table here sometimes as it seems really popular

Every dish is their best dish. The seafood is flawless, the catering to veggie and vegan options are as good as, sometimes if not better than the rest. The scallops just melted with the cauliflower and sultanas. And I loathe cauliflower with a vengeance. The tomatoes, tofu and dukkah were crisp, sweet, seasoned perfectly. THE. CRÈME. BRÛLÉE. Was like velvet. My partner cleaned the bowl with her finger and I was envious that she had the opportunity to enjoy it more than I. Just get it. The kitchen produce incredible plates every time. The floor offer great service every time Doug and Cordelia were wonderful. Thank you for the best meal I’ve had in a very very long time. I will cherish this meal.

Visited with my wife and youngest son on a Tuesday lunchtime. We ordered some great beers from Verdant and there were plenty to choose from. We ordered some of the tapas dishes, going for the crab fries, fish tacos, fish finger butty and monk fish scampi. All were great dishes. Service was great as well even though it was super busy in there. Well worth a visit, get there early though to avoid disappointment. This place is an absolute gem. Great food and even better beer. The staff and service were great, and the atmosphere was pretty much perfect. I would go back tomorrow if it wasn't a 6 hour+ drive away!

We had the most delightful evening here in May ‘24. Aunt Gin claims their prawns were the “best I’ve ever had out of Spain”!! Scallops on curried cauliflower were divine, Soul food salad was the freshest most lettucey we have ever tasted (seriously: delicious!), kimchi frittas - a stroke of genius. Picpoul de Pinet to die for. And on top of all that, a genuinely warm welcome. Wonderful rapport too between kitchen and bar staff, which made for amazing service in such a small, intimate place. A note about that - they kindly sat us at the bar as we were a 3 and they had just enough space (the place was rammed, unsurprisingly) but we really appreciated this as it was a really wet evening and we had waited for a little while outside in the rain (you can’t book - walk ins only). Thank you. Will definitely come back here next time I’m in Falmouth!

Brilliant little bar with delicious seafood plates. The staff were excellent and the food was great. They also have a great selection of different beers to try. We had several dishes and it was all delicious. I would definitely come back again. It was also dog friendly.

Really lovely place but for what it is it is extremely expensive. The food taste great. The atmosphere is lovely but for what you get this is a very expensive meal out especially if you have normal to above normal appetite.

Excellent food, and service at this brilliant seafood bar. They were amazing at catering for my allergies too (I’m dairy and gluten intolerant) and the beverage selection was really great. The food was so good we had to come back a second time. Love love love this place.

Had been wanting to try here for ages, especially being a big Verdant fan boy, however can’t help but feel disappointed. The beers, as always from Verdant, were on point and were fresh and hoppy (had Track & Field, It’s Pronounced Verdant and Alas, I was No Swimmer). The food was okay but nothing special (Fish Finger Sandwiches, Crab Loaded Fries, Monk Fish) but the service and the ambiance let it down. Waiting ages to get served, felt like you were interrupting the server just to order another drink and felt rushed to get out to make space for others. Very disappointed wouldn’t go back.

Service is incredible, the verdant beers on offer are amazing and the food is absolutely next level. New favourite spot in Falmouth and we will be making a return trip just to have a full sit-down meal here!

The food was exceptional, we had the scallops, prawns, cauliflower, oyster, crab loaded chips and each dish was full of flavour and with great ingredients cooked to an amazing quality. 1st visit and won't be our last. Lovely food, arrived piping hot, tapas style so need 2-3 dishes each depending on how hungry you are. Recommend fish finger sandwich, local oysters are excellent too. Some veggie options too. Dog friendly and excellent verdant brewery beers, can't wait to come back. It's walk in only, so you may have a short wait. But it's worth it

Went in for just drinks, and had a wonderful time. The vibe of the place was really relaxed and cosy, they had a great selection of beer, and incredibly welcoming staff who were more than happy to talk through the food and drink. All of their beers on tap were vegan, and if we hadn't had a reservation elsewhere we would have stayed for dinner because the food looked and smelled fantastic!

The crab fries are heaven on earth and the beer is very nice too. I just wish they took cash. I am not happy about all these new places that seem to only take card payments. Hopefully they will change their mind about the cashless thing, its such a shame.

This is a destination spot. It is reason enough by itself to go to Falmouth. A cute little seafood bar with incredible food and welcoming staff by the sea. The vibe from the start with the porthole in the door sets you up for the whole experience as you step in to a hug, (yes) of a dining experience. It's a cosy, snug environment with exceptional beers to partner alongside freshly prepared tapas style seafood dishes. The shellfish on offer was fabulous and by the end of our visit I had tried most of it, if I'd had room I'd have gone on. Everything we ordered was bursting with flavour and was a delight to eat. We devoured (deep breath) oysters, scallops buffalo prawns, karaage mushrooms and the best fish finger sandwich in the UK, possibly the world. And there was a cute little amuse bouche on arrival as well. The staff are friendly and attentive, knowledgeable about everything on offer food or drink wise and given that this is an arm of the excellent Verdant brewery, you'd expect nothing less I suppose. This was the highlight of our trip and I'm planning on returning again soon.

Small very hip micro brewery with fresh seafood on tapas style small plates. The house beers are a selection of IPAs and pale ales on draught with a good selection of bottled beers etc. The small plates were freshly cooked 2 to 3 are recommended per person. We had fresh Fal oysters, buffalo prawns with creamed corn and blue cheese, panko hake with katsu curry sauce, crab loaded chips, winter veg with nut crumb and the fish finger sandwich. Universally great food. Excellent fresh ingredients and well thought out dishes. Tasty, imaginative and generous. Service was quick and friendly. Music was played in the background but not intrusive. No booking allowed, just walk in and try your luck. I had a bottled Belgian wheat beer, Very good. Highly recommended.

Down a narrow side street a stone's throw from the Ferry Jetty, a small cosy atmospheric place with thick granite walls like an old mariners' tavern and exuding great warmth inside. Good food and good range of beers. If I am being harsh one or two dishes could have a little more finesse, but overall highly recommended.

Just absolutely excellent. Went as a solo diner and was sat at the bar, which was perfect. Watched loads of covers and they all looked delicious, ordered one at a time in between necking (almost) a third of every tasty beer on the menu and ALL the food was fantastic. This place exceeded expectation (which was already pretty high). A big thank you to my amiable hosts who were friendly, accomodating and let me be party to a little craic. I had such a great evening. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and if you're travelling solo, definitely sit at the bar. Was not sure if I'd ever visit Falmouth again after ticking it off my list, but after this evening I'd have no hesitation in having a repeat visit.

Great vibes, great food, great beer and great staff. What isn't there to like about it! The crab loaded chips are incredible. The chips alone are fantastic, but add good crab and bursts of piquancy from fried capers and they are elevated to a sublime level. Everything we chose from the small plates menu was good. The fish pie special was a master class in comfort food and perfectly sized for 2 to share.

Verdant is my favourite brewery and paired with the amazing seafood bar - what more could you ask for!! I love that they do third of pints so you can try lots of different ones! And I love the quirky and cosy space that you get to enjoy this in! Plus the seafood is the perfect pairing - we had the taramasalata which was incredible, the fish tacos, the crab loaded fries (I have to admit the only complaint is that there wasn’t a lot of crab on the fries) but all in all I will certainly be going back! Fantastic service too :)

So much more than seafood. An impressive selection of locally brewed craft beers from Verdant Brewery and an outstanding menu that includes a crab-loaded fries option you have to taste to believe. The 1/3rd beer servings are perfect for creating your own tasting flight - and we took full advantage sampling 6 of the 9 beers available. There is a lot on offer in a tourist centric town like Falmouth, but if you're after a truly exceptional world-class gastronomic experience, look no further. You need to visit The Verdant Seafood Bar.
