A great little tapas restaurant. Small menu but perfectly executed. Unlike some tapas places they let you order a few dishes at a time. Everything we had was delicious. Service was lovely. Recommended.

Great food and service. Really accommodating and the atmosphere was buzzing. An absolute must if you're in Ilfracombe.

First visit to the Terrace Tapas and Wine Bar and it did not disappoint. We had a very polite welcoming on arrival. We arrived early than expected, and we were able to sit and have a drink first. The wine choice is lovely, and the food was even better. Reasonable prices and good quality food. Morgan was very polite and helpful at all times

No trip to Ilfracombe is complete without a visit to The Terrace. The team there ensured our dog had a bowl of water plus some doggy treats and the birthday boy received a wonderful hand-written card and some Love Hearts! The Terrace consistently delivers, both on quality of the food and the service of the team. You'll be told honestly how busy the kitchen is and what time food can be expected as everything is prepared from fresh. The menu is of course tapas based but with some exciting specials that keep things new for regular visitors. The team behind the bar work just as hard as those in the kitchen with some great cocktails served in an unflappable, calm manner. They really know what they are doing at The Terrace and we highly recommend making the effort to book well in advance to ensure you get a table.

We had a lovely evening here. Leaving the kids at home, my wife and I enjoyed a perfect date night. The ambiance was romantic, the freshly made cocktails were fantastic, and every dish was absolutely delicious. It was great to unwind in a such a lovely place, it made our evening so special.

This place is just divine! The moment you walk in you can feel the ambiance. A special find, perfect for a date night. The food was amazing and the service exceptional.

This was great fun. Holiday evening for two. Enthusiastic service, authentic Spanish menu, and decent wine list. Everything came out nicely except, in my view, the pretty dry tortilla which I mentioned to the waitress. I lived three years in Madrid and I’ve eaten a lot of tortillas. Anyway, as a result one of the proprietors visited the table for a chat and voluntarily took the item off the bill despite me insisting that wasn’t necessary. An enjoyable evening in a happy atmosphere. Absolutely recommended.

Had a lovely meal on a Bank holiday Saturday evening, the menu was plentiful, the food served quickly and overall I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more. Very conscientious staff, reasonably priced, what more could you want.

We’ve visited for two years in a row. 2023 saw us enjoy a beautiful array of dishes, each as tasty as the next. Each was served by informative and friendly staff. The cocktails were excellent (French martini and cosmopolitan). So this year had a lot to live up to, which it did. We had different dishes this time and a white Portuguese wine and the meal and service were as good as we remembered. I’ll book again and have recommended this to family and others too.

During a week staying in Ilfracombe this was something we booked as a treat. The food was superb, and as such is a little more expensive than other places in town. Chorizo recommended 👌 as well as the prawns.

The good stuff first, I didn't book but the staff were accommodating and friendly. Small tapas establishment. The idea of fast service shouldn't be expected (mañana). However, what I was disappointed in was the food. The Albondigas wasn't that great, better local sourced meat and ingredients might be better and made by the chef. The Patatas Bravas not great either, slightly under cooked and they claimed it came with Aioli but it was mayonnaise. If you have ever been to Spain and had this you would know immediately it was not the same. Freshly cooked no! However, the Spanish don't do that either in their Cafe/Bars, it is prepared and heated a lot of the time.

Very charming tapas restaurant serving high quality delicious food. The portions are standard and the price is quite high but the quality is very good and there are lots of flavours in some of their dishes. The atmosphere is lovely inside with a great choice of artist Klimt to decorate the interior. Highly recommended and definitely need to book in advance. The staff are professional and helpful too. The restaurant is located on a slope with no carpark close by so bear that mind.

1st class service and meal as always. Booking is definitely recommended. The lamb lollipops are to die for. Eating here is always one of the highlights of the holiday.

The staff was very friendly and helpful from the start. The place is well decorated and although the room is not massive you still have a sense of intimacy. As for the food - the majority was tasty but (speaking as a Spanish person) not really a fair representation of the actual dish, which was a bit disappointing. Regardless, the food was tasty. We had sangria which was also nice. However, we were quite shocked by small details, like the price of bread. Essentially, a slice (not exaggerating) of standard bread was charged at £4. Between 8 people we shared (barely) 3 slices of bread with a meal that is notoriously known (for anyone that has actually been in Spain) for needing bread, for which we paid £12, which is quite frankly outrageous - an actual dish is £7-£10.

Took two years to get a table and booked few months ago, but tonight we were finally there. Good choice, but portions are on the big side and delicious, hubby, and I shared dessert again delicious. Will definitely come again

Good service, reasonably good food, expensive for area They started by telling us how great the food is that it is cooked on the premises and made it as though we were in for a real treat. Whilst the food was nice, it was nothing beyond several different tapas I have visited in Manchester, but here was more expensive Some dishes were really nicely done; the prawns and sauce with it, lamb chops succulent, the black pudding was interesting and mushroom had interesting sauce. Other dishes including the sausages and potato felt fairly typical though with a premium price tag. Service was very attentive and friendly. Felt quite pricey; 3 dishes per person comes to about £27 per head just for food. Based on this I would recommend elsewhere

I don’t really write reviews Our second time here. We loved it even more than the first time. Brilliant staff n service and amazing food. We thought all the tapas was great but the lamb lollipops and the squid was exceptional. And then when the dessert came, we were blown away! Can’t recommend enough!

Lovely restaurant, friendly staff and excellent tapas menu. Restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside. Plenty of choice to eat and you are not rushed. Easily add more dishes if you want more and all freshly cooked to order.

I cant express enough the amazing experience we had , the staff and management could not be more friendly. They catered for our pooch with a blanket, water and treats which was a lovely touch and enabled us to fully enjoy the amazing food. Massive compliments to the chefs, it was best food we can honestly say we have experienced. We will definetly be visiting again. Highly recommend .

Trying to "big up" what is essentially Spanish Bar Food as Haute Cusine. Overpriced and underwhelming in terms of selection and presentation. Did not meet expectations after reading good reviews. As one other review said - the staff were friendly but almost bit "over attentive" and seemed to be sticking to a "script". It all felt a bit intense. We explained to the waitress that we were familiar with Tapas but she still insisted on giving us the whole rehearsed speech about how/what we should order - a very uncomfortable experience. I just ordered a glass of "house wine" and the owner told me what a good choice I had made, which I found slightly patrionising. The restaurant itself is a pleasant environment but there are no views as all the blinds are lowered. £9 a dish is more expensive than we pay in London. Also items like "boquerones" which you can just buy in supermarket were listed as "Specials" and not available on the day we went. It doesn't really have a true Spanish feel in terms of the decor or service. If they dropped the prices slightly, upped the selection and relaxed the service style, the restaurant would probably be more poplular.

WOW!! This place is special, me and some friends came here for a quick bite to eat and ended up staying for 2 bottles of wine and dessert! This is the best meal I’ve had in such a long time and the best tapas I’ve ever had, even comparing to ones in Seville! The staff are so so lovely, and the food is absolutely delicious. Definitely try as you won’t regret it!

Was our first visit here, as we were going to the theatre after. Perfect for food as a pre theatre destination. Food was excellent, service was wonderful and the atmosphere and decor lovely. Nicely spaced out so you can chat in private. Will definitely be going back again to consume the dishes I missed out on. Throughly enjoyable.

Went for an evening meal while staying locally. The Tapas is amazing, one of the best tapas meals we have ever had. The staff were fantastic and very knowledgeable about the food they were serving. Amazing cocktails. I will definitely be visiting again next time we stay in the area.

Lovely restaurant, great food with fresh ingredients and quite authentic Spanish food, everything we ordered was very tasty my only criticism is that the Spanish tortilla wasn’t really a traditional tortilla, it was more like a potato au gratin but nevertheless it was very tasty, the friendly staff were fabulous too.

Our evening at the Terrace Tapas was amazing. We had the Gambas Pill Pill, Lamb, and Chorizo in Honey and Red Wine. The food was incredible - the prawns had a wonderful kick, the lamb was tender and delicious, and the chorizo was gorgeous with honey and red wine. The restaurant is cozy with a wonderful welcoming atmosphere, which was perfect for a date with my wife. The service was perfect, and the staff recommended the most wonderful wine and cocktails to go with the meal. Overall, the perfect choice for a romantic evening withe incredible food.

Super warm welcome and delicious authentic Spanish food. The food was fresh, portions were generous and our meal was amazingly good value. Would highly recommend.

Firstly, the actual look and atmosphere of this place is lovely. The owner was very welcoming and the waiting staff too but unfortunately we had to sit through 5 minutes of where the food was sourced. This made my family very uncomfortable as they are autistic! Just a bit over the top in my view. My husband said he had the best red wine he’d ever had but the drinks took too long to arrive. We had food arrive before our drinks. The food was generally tasteless and not very authentic in our view. The meat balls were tough, gristly and chewy, the potato dish reminded me of Lidls, the king prawns were completely tasteless, the roasted charred peppers, also tasted of nothing, the garlic bread was nice but couldn’t taste any garlic, just cheese. I’m not sure if they taste their own food so I recommend they do!

Came here one Saturday night, the tapas is second to none and the wine was great. Really well priced and the staff/manager were lovely and really smart!

We've been to the Terrace on many occasions over the last few years; and the food and service has always been great and tonight did not disappoint. We had the meat and cheese sharing platter to start with...yum yumm yummy! Followed by the prawn, chorizo and black pudding plates...such a treat!!

The food, the setting and the staff make this a wonderful evening and I would definitely recommend.

Just visited this fantastic restaurant. From the moment we walked in the service was excellent. We received a full rundown of both the food and drinks menu. We started with a mojito and a beer and then ordered six different items from the tapas menu and a lovely bottle of red wine. The tapas was one of the best we have had, it was excellent. The service was also first class and I would certainly highly recommend this little gem. The icing on the cake was that our Staffie Stanley was welcomed and had his own blanket by the table and a few treats!!!

Lovely ambience and dog friendly - You didn’t feel having to be sat separate from the restaurant Staff was very good and offered great customer service Nothing wrong with the food but it didn’t blow me and my family away. It was a standard English tapas menu and the food represented it. Overall I would recommend a visit

As soon as we arrived at The Terrace for our pre-booked evening meal, we were greeted by all the staff who made us feel welcome and comfortable. The restaurant is much more spacious than anticipated, and the atmosphere was relaxed but vibrant at the time we went (7pm). We order a variety of dishes and all were really tasty and reflective of authentic Spanish cuisine. tea,The staff are all very helpful and attentive, but left room for you to enjoy your meal. My wife an I had a lovely time at The Terrence, and the pace of the evening was perfect. Wish we would have booked sooner as this is one of the best finds in Ilfracombe! 100% gets our vote for a lovely evening out. Well done team!!

This place is absolutely gorgeous, the food was amazing and the staff were so lovely. The Padron peppers and olives were better than any I’ve had before. They bought a little dog blanket to put on the floor for my dog too ❤️

When a lot of Ilfracombe restaurants are closing for good, or only open for a few nights each week, even in high season, the Terrace is an oasis of great food and decent service. We only go back to restaurants who strive to make their diners' visits memorable ones and the staff at the Terrace always go the extra mile. This time we took our dog and they'd prepared the table with some dog biscuits, a bowl of water and a little blanket for her. The food quality was as great as ever and we'll be back next month to work our way through the rest of the menu!

We had a great experience. The service from our waitress, Joanna, was excellent. Food and wine 5 stars!! Particularly enjoyed the Padron Peppers and the meatballs.

Immaculate service from every member of staff - we caught the names of Joanna, Clive and Harriet in particular but cannot express enough how looked after we felt. Lovely decor, authentic tapas, great drinks; can’t really fault this place and will be back. :))

While on holiday in Ilfracombe, we wanted a nice dinner out with our 8 year old one evening. We were very kindly accommodated on a Thursday even though I had mistakenly booked on the wrong evening. It was busy but the staff was very kind and attentive. The food was flawless.
