Best chip shop by far! We go there regularly and it’s always consistently great. The prices are very reasonable and the three working there are always very friendly and generous. Great portion sizes too. Would 100% recommend.

Chips very good, fish never any flavour, but they do a good job burying it in the battery. Nice people and well presented little place. No idea on hygiene, the server wore gloves but was handling money and a calculator then touching the paper that the food goes on. But cover everything in vinegar and you will never notice, hopefully.

This was my second visit to the restaurant, and once again, I was thoroughly impressed. The entire team were incredibly polite and accommodating—they found us a spot in the dining room with no prior notice, which I really appreciated. I mentioned that it was my birthday, and they made the evening feel that little bit more special. Our waiter, Luca, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and professional throughout. The food matched the service: absolutely delicious. I had an extremely good time and would 100% recommend coming here. The seafood is excellent—especially the mussels—but if the crab risotto is on the menu, don’t miss it. It’s a must-try!

My cub group hiked here and ordered themselves fish and chips. The staff were amazing. They were so patient with the kids and had plenty of food ready so we were all served quickly. The food was excellent too. Thank you!

Staff where extreamly kind and very talkative,place was lovely and clean the food was ok overall but chips where stuck together and batter was a bit undercooked.

Fabulous Scampi and chips made to order by lovely owners ! In a brilliant location so you can either sit inside around the perimeter of the shop or there's plenty of benches by the sea wall ! Wonderful meal after a long and wonderful walk along the beach worked up a decent appetite ! 😀

Great food, friendly staff and good service. However, the seating was very cramped. Despite all of our table being of normal BMI we could literally only get one buttock on the bench. Thankfully a party of four on another table cancelled at short notice so we moved. This also helped the others on the table that we moved to. Recommendation: reduce the number of people per table or put a chair at each end of the table thereby taking two bums off the benches.

Walked past and looked through the window so many times but finally decided to give it a go for my dad's birthday! What an experience, I want to go back again asap! The restaurant is beautifully themed with art everywhere, the music is spot on and the whole vibe was tip top! The wonderful lady who served us (I'm sorry I didn't catch your name!) Was brilliant, gave us a description of every dish we were served and was super friendly and professional! We had the 3 course lunch, and the plates were so elegantly crafted, each taste complimenting the next. Some quirky and delicious entrees were served inbetween, making the experience even more enjoyable! I could write so much more, but couldn't recommend Vervein enough for a seafood adventure! Thank you David and Co for a brilliant lunch, can't wait to come back!
