We came across this place as it was recommended on North Harbour restaurant’s Facebook page and boy we were not disappointed! We had the lobster and chorizo bisque and scallops to start- both of which were out of this world. For mains we had fish, which was fresh and beautifully presented and the venison steak which was so soft and juicy. Ginger and date pudding was a glutinous extra but we couldn’t resist how good it looked on a neighbouring table - fluffy, tasty and rich. :) We can’t wait to come back already!

Ate here recently and there were issues. What we did manage to order was delicious. However, from the moment we entered, we were told they did not have so many of the options on the menu- unfortunately things we would have liked to order- this was from the starters to the desserts, even drinks. We were at a quite early sitting as well, so could not understand what the problem is. So many things were not on, or not available. 3 choices of dessert. Felt very sorry for the waiting staff who had to come with the big long list of what was not available each time- it was embarrasing for them. The food was beautifully cooked, but supply/ availability was very poor. Never been anywhere where we were met with 'sorry, that is not available', to most things we asked for, before 7pm! Could be good, but unfortunately wasn't, in our experience.

We came to the restaurant twice in successive nights. Recommended by a friend and delighted we made the effort. Small but diverse menu and same with the wine list. The waiting staff were excellent particularly Jordan. The food was freshly prepared and expertly cooked. The squid starter was sublime and the beef brisket main course was exceptional. So much so, I had it both evenings. Puddings good too. All four of us rated giggly the experience. More power to the chef and team!

No.30 was recommended to me by a friend who lives in Harris and I'm happy that we went. The haggis dumplings were light and delicious. We had cod with a parmesan and herb crust and brisket for main courses - both were very good. Chocolate brownie was good too. Service was friendly and efficient. All very good.

We ate at the Uig Sands twice. Once as a cafe for soup and once for an evening meal. We absolutely loved the experience and it wrapped up and end of a magical week On Harris and Lewis. The food was fairly simple and not fussed about with, but was high quality produce, cooked extremely well. Best Scallops Ive had anywhere and these chefs know how to season their food. Front of house was near impeccable. Attentive, relaxed and friendly. Sadly the fixed menu had finished as the restaurant was about to finish its season, but the choices were good and balanced.

All you want from a fish and chip shop. Very generous portion of fresh fish (cooked to order) and chips for a very reasonable price. Wish i had had the opportunity to try some of the other options. Efficient service. Great value!
