We went here last night to celebrate my birthday whilst on holiday and it made a fantastic week even better.All the reviews are right, fabulous food, super friendly and efficient staff and the fantastic views.Excellent, thank you so much.

The food, which is totally delicious, is matched by the team of people who were so friendly and attentive whilst we enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend the smoked salmon, scallops and the monk fish. The interior is relax and the view is obviously breathtaking. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening. I just also have to mention we were terribly late for our reservation, this was handled with grace and kindness!

Location heavenly, food exquisite. Cannot fault this restaurant, view from dining room is unbelievable, every course was fantastical. Service was brill. If you want a first class dining experience then head to the uig sands restaurant.

Uig Sands restaurant is not only the best place to eat on the island it is one of the best restaurants in the world. The food is beautifully and thoughtfully prepared. Locally sourced from the isle. The menu is a set one with three courses, sourdough and dips, an amuse bousch. Service is friendly and you are guaranteed a warm welcome. But it is the view that is the killer, overlooking Uig bay watching the sunset there is nothing it can be compared to. Worth every penny.

I have been for dinner on many occasions with friends,family and alone. Each time have experienced a warm welcome,attentive service and totally wonderful food from a varied menu. Set in an idyllic location it is definitely the place to go for a top class meal and hospitality.

The view and location is amazing. The staff were warm, friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and it was the best chowder i have ever had. I camped in my campervan for 2 nights right outside the restaurant with a beautiful view and ate on two evenings. I would definitely go back Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This was one of the best meals I've had in ages. Compact menu means that the chefs can concentrate on sending out exceptional dishes, while the addition of specials gave a choice wide enough for our group of 5. Portions were really well sized, not like some restaurants - I know you pay for the quality of the ingredients, but when you are paying you do want more than a mouthful. The wine list was also good value and small enough to ensure that there is something for everyone, without getting ridiculous. Staff were great and not too fussy - we were left to get on with enjoying the food and the sunset view.

We dined here last night as an early birthday meal for my husband. The location is stunning and despite the weather, it was still a great and interesting view from the table. The food was probably the best we have eaten all year, the smoked salmon starter was fantastic, the scallops main course on special was phenomenal and the lamb dish also great. Desserts felt a little underwhelming compared to the starters and mains, they were still very good but one complaint would be the popcorn served with the “donuts” was slightly burnt and the taste was then overpowering. Despite this I would still return even at the price of £75pp. I did feel the drinks prices were slightly off, £9.50 for a single gin and bottle of tonic water is very steep, I don’t think the prices should be so high when the meal is already on the pricey side.

The location is absolutely stunning. The staff were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely delicious . We would return tomorrow if we could.

We stayed in the nearby beautiful Uig Sands Rooms (a few minutes walk away) and dined here 2 nights on the trot! Wonderful, contemporary and relaxed with amazing views. The staff were extremely welcoming, courteous and attentive and amazing choice of dishes on the menu. Plenty of seafood to choose from (the turbot was outstanding), but also other equally delicious meat and vegetarian options available, together with a great Specials board. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Isle of Lewis.

We were 5 adult family members, with various diet requests. We were all absolutely delighted with all our choices. This was our 2nd visit & we will definitely be back asap. Venue amazing, food unbeatable, staff very friendly & efficient. I could go on & on.

A wonderful meal and the most incredible view from our window seat. The little crab canapés was an amazing explosion of tastes. I could have guzzled a few of them. The Hebridean chowder was fully loaded with mussels, lobster, scallops and my turbot main dish was mouthwatering. The accompanying beetroot was an inspired choice of veg. Fab. The one, important, things which stops me from giving this restaurant 5 stars are the really uncomfortable seats, which spoiled the whole experience and left me with a sore back. Please consider replacing them for next season.

Our dining experience here was superb and the three courses were well worth the price. We chose a bottle of Chablis which perfectly complemented the dishes we ate. I want to thank all the staff that ensured we had the most special time at Uig Sands. I had just proposed to my fiance about an hour before arriving and they couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We hadn't planned on staying as we didn't realise they had accommodation but the manager organised a room for us very last minute. The food, accommodation and location are out of this world.
