Fish Inn in East Hertfordshire

Ordered a delivery of kebab, chicken wings and cod with chips. Unfortunately My cod was soggy. Like wet bread. The bottom had all fallen apart. I phoned up and spoke to the chef. He was rude, patronising and didn’t want to admit he had given me a badly cooked piece of fish. Mistakes can happen, but when they refuse to be taken seriously, the business and other prospective customers should know. No compensation, no respect. They’ve lost a customer here.

I have now bought fish and chips twice since I discovered this takeaway. The large chip portions are huge! Last week I bought a large haddock and chips, the haddock was crispy, absolutely no grease, and I honestly can say that this is the best haddock I have ever had. I also saw that this store has a 5-star hygiene rating and you can certainly tell. The staff are lovely and I will continue going back for more of this delicious food. I cannot recommend it more.

Good portions of cod with mushy peas & chips without “shrapnel”, all reasonably priced & delivered promptly We would highly recommended the quick delivery service if you can’t get to the shop.

Had a take away on more than one occasion, the fish has been excellent and tried the lamb kebab today which was outstanding. Beautifully tender, tasty lamb and an interesting fresh well presented salad. The take-away service is quick and reliable.

The food was amazing and the staff are really nice. The portions are big too and it’s not too expensive. I go there once a week and enjoy it every time!

This was the first time that we had ordered a take away and wasn't disappointed. We ordered our food at 15-30pm for a 17-00pm delivery and received our food promptly at 17-00pm. The enormous cod with mushy peas and chips was delicious as was the battered sausage and chips too. Unlike other establishments there was no shrapnel like chips but large non greasy chips. Recommended highly.

This place offers fast delivery and you can order through an online app. We had chicken kebabs and some chips and they were above average. The salad was especially nice.

This has become a regular stop on a Friday or Saturday night. Really nice Village Green to sit on and enjoy perfect Fish & Chips. Staff are friendly and they have a very good following. Definitely a place to stop. Good choice of Fish & Chip shop food.

Every week on a Saturday we treat ourselves to a takeaway from Fish Inn. They are always give great service and if ever you aren't happy they will always listen and put it right. Not that it happens very often.
