Torquay Fryer in Torbay

We were looking for a fish and chips shop in the Torre area and found this one. Staff friendly, they cook to order and it's shown in the taste - the fish and chips are excellent. Chips are battered and taste great; fish nice and chunky. Very reasonable price, highly recommend.

Takeaway fish and chips for dinner. First visit here. Absolutely delicious, cooked to order, lovely hot food that stayed hot. Generous portions. Reasonably priced.

I came here on a whim whilst I was in Torquay, just had a craving for a chippy. I only paid £6 for chips, curry sauce and a large battered sausage which I thought you remarkably cheap And pow it was amazing, the chips alone were great (shape, density, how cooked they were) The curry sauce was banging. Just an amazing flavour The sausage - on point Ranked against over chippy competitors this is a 5star Also the staff were lovely as well

Fabulous battered chips. Well seasoned fish which tasted delicious. Good curry sauce but fish & chips were so tasty it probably wasn’t needed but enjoyed it anyway!

The manager fobs you off -charges you 12.00 for 2 items then says chips were not put on order-Thinking of small claims court as well as being xissed off with no proper dinner

This is probably one of the BEST fish and chips shops in the country! The chips are different because they are battered, this makes them super crispy and gives a better flavour. The fish was perfect, batter supreme and price was amazingly good. I ordered far too much, I got a small chips but I swarebit must have been a medium!! I couldn't eat them all, I also added a battered sausage because they looked great, musy peas and medium cod. I couldn't finish the chips or peas in the end! Portions are great but not wasteful! I'd highly recommend this place, it's definitely one I will return to on every holiday to Devon! Worth the visit! Staff were also so nice, efficient and just on the ball!

Best chips and battered sausage I have ever had. £4.00 for sausage and chips, best £4 I have ever spent. Delicious

It,s a rarity sadly these days, to get a chippy with lovely flavorsome clean cut crispy, and plentiful hot chunky chips, instead of scrappy doo bits that taste dry or wet. The pies are lovely too.I ate all the pies! This shop is clean and professional and I will only go here as It always keeps consistency with it,s product of chips. Haven't tasted the fish yet but will do it soon! This shop deserves a regular customer and is a rarity!

If battered chips aren’t for you this won’t suit. However I live just up the road and use them all the time. Friendly new owners and decent portions of tasty chips.I’m a fan
