A lovely location, sat outside in the sunshine with my dog, a pot of tea, cheese scone followed by a piece of carrot cake, absolutely delicious. Thank You, I can't wait to return

I vote with all the other positive reviews. It was busy when I arrived for lunch with a big backpack but they squeezed me in. Food was great as others say. Welcome was friendly. Something I’d add: despite being full it wasn’t too noisy and conversation would have been easy without straining.

No longer what you see in the pic, now a converted van, called "School Yard Pizza". But the pizzas were lovely and good value. Turned up on Friday evening but seems they are not opening Fridays now. Sadly this meant we settled for a rather awful fish and chips from nearby hotel. Anyways...back to School Yard Pizza. Highly recommended.

I was disappointed to see that no prices were displayed. Response from assistant was that she only worked there. Not impressed.

Came across this gem looking for lunch. We had the crab sandwiches which were delicious - just perfect. Noticed they did fish and chips and lobster and chips but only on two days of the week. And it was first come first served until they ran out. So went back to try the haddock and chips. Awesome. Best fish I have ever tasted - no batter, just grilled with lots of butter. Owner explained that he only used fresh locally caught fish and only when he could gets it off the local boats. It shows!!

Fantastic fish and chips. The fish is baked to order rather than deep fried in batter. You have to wait 10 mins because everything is cooked to order. Marvellous.

We visited here for Sunday lunch. 6 adults 1 dog. We were met by very friendly staff. Lovely warmly environment. We all had soup or chowder to start followed by roast lamb, roast beef and pork belly washed down with a lovely bottle (or 2) of red wine! We didn’t have desserts as we were all full. Probably the nicest Sunday lunch we’ve had in a long time ! Will definitely be back .

I was expecting great food since it’s supposed to be Italian, but honestly, it was very average. Nothing special. The decor was heavy and not very welcoming. Overall, it didn’t make me want to come back.

Called in for coffee and cake. Very disappointed. Cafe was very dirty. Service was extremely slow. Some people left as the wait was too long even though cafe was not busy. Far too many dogs. Food OK but disappointing.

Had a wonderful evening, the service was efficient and friendly. The food was outstanding. I had halibut and my husband had the ribeye steak. Both were exceptional. For a special night out I would highly recommend it.

BEWARE of overcharging at this shop. They don’t take cash, a detail you only find out when you are at the till, and was then overcharged by 75% on the card machine. As I wasn’t offered a receipt this fact wasn’t obvious until I was in an area where there was phone reception. Two trips back to the shop have failed to recoup the money and now no one is answering the mobile number I was given. Poor experience all round.

I feel really sad to be leaving a negative review of this restaurant as we have visited in the past and everything has been lovely. However, this afternoon we were so disappointed with the food served to us. My partner and I both ordered fish and chips and I could see, as soon as it was brought to the table that it was all overcooked. Dark coloured batter and dried out chips that were like leather. The fish also did not smell or taste fresh. I basically couldn't eat it although my partner battled through but did not enjoy it. My son and partner ordered pork and chicken - both overcooked. Barely any sauce - they asked for gravy in order to be able to swallow the meat. I have to say that the front of house staff were excellent in responding to our complaint. I also have to say, in fairness, that the 3 children in our party were happy with their meals. But the adults ended up leaving hungry (althoigh we were offered fresh chips) and ended up ordering Chinese for supper. As I said, so sad to be leaving such a bad review - and hopefully this was an unusual blip on the quality here. The venue is so pretty and fairy like with all the beautiful lighting. But, today, for us, the food was very disappointing.

Had a wonderful few days here with friends. Very friendly, extremely hard working staff. Lovely room, great food. Would definitely return.
