Great place to visit, loved the treehouse theme, and I reckon it really comes alive in the summer, I would have preferred a better choice on the menu, and certainly a cheaper steak option, specially as the pepper corn sauce is basically a small tub of pepper corns in a tiny bit of Jus, which ruined the meal for me to be honest, it's called pepper corn SAUCE for a reason, you should have just handed me the pepper mill and been done with it. Otherwise a very lovely experience!

I have been to many restaurants in the UK, Europe and Southern Africa 🌍, I have never been to such a stunning restaurant set in the trees absolutely beautiful and the food was devine and the staff were awesome, so friendly nothing was a problem for them. The Deadly Jane cocktail was Deadly but tasted great I was cautioned as to why its called Deadly lol 😂. So wonderful went there twice

Went here for my birthday a few Saturdays ago. The staff were so polite, helpful and friendly. Wish I’d have gotten their names. There was a delay with food but we were early and the staff were upfront about this so no surprises. We only had a main meal but for 3 alcoholic drinks, 1 soft drink and two main meals it came to £65. Overall a really lovely experience and I hope to return. P.s. the stair case to the loos aren’t for the faint hearted 😂

The Treehouse is an unique experience. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. The staff were so friendly and efficient. The food unfortunately was just okay (not bad, but not great). Compared to other Sunday Roasts, these are definitely smaller portions as well. I'm glad I experienced this lovely location, but wouldn't return for a meal anytime soon.

The building, the decor, and the atmosphere really are magical, it's such a gorgeous place to eat! On top of that the food was fantastic. We had the Sunday roast which was delicious, the portions were really generous, and very reasonably priced too. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Lovely setting! Food was ordinary at best. The scallops starter felt like badly prepared frozen. It had a slight unpleasant tang to it. Unfortunately the plate was also unclean and had to be left. Service was terrible, took over an hour for starters to arrive and then more than an hour for main courses. No explanation, no apology. We didn't stay for dessert as we'd run out of time before park closing. Overall really disappointed.

This is a must visit for a special meal in a special venue if you are in northumberland, i would recommend visiting at night to take in the atmosphere of the whole place being lit up !!. The food is amazing with something for even a fussy eater which i am and the staff are amazing too. With the restaurant decked out with natural wood tables and chairs with a log burner to provide a nice warm place to eat. The potting shed bar is also a nice exterior area to drink in the warmer weather too if your in the summer months.

Went for dinner for a friend's special birthday. Vegetarian antipasti sharing platter was a bit odd, big bowl of antipasti veg but no crackers or bread to put it on, focaccia would have been nice? Cheese souffle was v nice. But vegetarian main of veg Wellington was dumped on top of badly cooked green cabbage which was supposedly a fricasse of vegetables! Wellington was fine but veg inside were squishy and overcooked. Such a shame as the venue is cool but they definitely missed the mark on the food as far as the vegetarians were concerned 😕

For the most part the food was excellent although I felt the chips had a funny texture, can’t put my finger on why but they were. Cheese fondue to share as a starter was lovely. Blossom tree desert was very nice but also very rich - be warned. Service was excellent. A lovely place to be but the more I looked the more dust and cobwebs I noticed.

We last visited this place 23 years so took our grown up children back and we left completely disappointed. My husband and son had fish and chips, our daughter is a vegan she had the pasta dish peas!! It seemed the same bland peas were the mushy peas with the fish and chips. To add to this the chip were stale and refried. I had the chicken dish served with a side of mash completely dry. Add injury to insult Bailey cheese cake was a pile of stodgy. We did express our disappointment, but completely ignored, worst £151 spent!! Won’t be ever visiting again!!

Firstly, a massive thank you to all of the staff. Before we even arrived, they made accommodations to host us which was greatly appreciated, so thank you, it made for a wonderful surprise for my partner. Upon arrival, what a stunning concept for a restaurant this is! The settings, views and restaurant itself were wonderful and had a lot of charm about the place. The staff were also a delight; very accommodating and friendly, engaging in pleasant conversation and turning service into an experience. The food was quite nice. I had the Treehouse Burger which was with a wonderful tomato chutney, fresh coleslaw and thick cut chips, all of which tasted nicely. My partner had the Haddock and Chips which I wish I went for myself, as the haddock was extremely light, fresh, well battered and just sublime overall. A very nice setting, good food and excellent service. Ideal for couples of families, a place anyone ought to visit if they're going to the Alnwick Gardens also.

I had the duck which was very nice, I was told the lamb was cooked perfectly. For the dessert on the other hand I struggled to choose so ended up with two, the baileys cheesecake which was delicious and the cherry tree blossom which looked amazing and tasted amazing. Fun location but the interior a little dark and dusty. The food was good, good portions and nice veggie options. Visited this place on recommendation, booked to ensure day and time. Parking was no problem, lots of space with only a short walk to the restaurant. The building itself is very intriguing inside and out. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The food I had a total disaster. It was only fish and chips. Fish was good, on the small side, peas were edible, the chips, mostly unedible. Both ends rock hard, some you couldn't even get a fork in the centers, I struggled to eat half of them. It's an item that needs removed from the menu.

Had a lunch here before visiting Alnwick Castle. It is said to be the largest treehouse in the world. The place is beautiful and magical. Feels straight out of a fairytale! I had the cauliflower buffalo salad and my husband the gnocchis. For the desert I tried the cherry blossom chocolate mousse which was beautiful and delicious. My husband the sticky toffee which was also amazing. The food was excellent and quantity generous. The only downside was the service. It was really slow and we waited ages to get served. So we missed a bit of our day to visit the castle unfortunately. As we come far way it was a bit frustrating. Other than that, everything was perfect!

We were out and about in Alnwick for the first time since 2008. Ic and Flic were having a pint of 3 Rivers in the Fleece when they noticed a wedding party heading into Alnwick Castle. Being borderline Dark Triads they followed and gate crashed a wedding in this giant tree house. Super wedding venue. Very original. Scammed a three course meal and lots of wine. Apologies to Bride n Groom. Lots of wood and a lovely fire..a worry when these two are about. Burn Baby Burn being their favourite 70's hit by little known group Ash. Both Ic n Flic loved the wedding. Ray Peterson says " Tell Laura I love her." Boom boom boom boom! Great time. Sorry Matthew.

Called in November with my family. First impressions seemed nice, the atmosphere and lighting are all very good. But when it came to sitting at a table, we were seated at a table shaped like a rectangular parallelogram. One half benched seats with no back apart from some spiky twigs, only 3 cushions, and the other side had the most uncomfortable chairs, they were shallow in depth and offered literally no back support. Having had back surgery 10 years ago, I do not lie, and I don't exaggerate when I say they are the worst chairs I have ever sat on (please look at the pictures on Google, they look medieval.) The starter was pork belly, which was delicious. But the main was duck, which was dry and fatty and had no sauce, and the dessert was vegan tiramisu, which was sloppy and tastless. I'd not go back, and I would not recommend to anyone I like. And yes, I would have up and left but there are sacrifices we make to see our family and with nowhere else to go I was stuck. P.S. my wife's gravy was saltier than the Northumberland sea and her veg was burnt, and when the floor outside is wet it is very slippy.

Had lunch at the treehouse restaurant during half-term in October 2023. Terrible experience. The service was beyond poor, more service staff than customers but none of them were interested in doing their job wandering around talking to their mates. We waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive which was inedible and we sent it back despite being so hungry! Replacement dishes didn’t arrive until we chased them and suddenly they were ready, but had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. We had to eat it because we were so hungry. Wouldn’t go back and the family who were turned away because they didn’t have a booking got a lucky break!

Food mediocre, barman obnoxious and rude!! Arrived around 2pm and asked if it was still possible to have something to eat, we got as answer "well, the menus are still on the table!". We were made to pay for the (flat) pepsi even before he'd filled our glasses. Even though we'd asked for "coke" he gave us pepsi, although when the next customers asked for coke, he told them rather abruptly they could have a can of coke or draft pepsi. When ordering a plate of soup he acted slightly confused and corrected us with, you mean a "bowl" of soup. All in all, a not very pleasant or relaxing experience, barman wasn't trying to be funny, just rude. There were only 2 other tables occupied with couples, one eating, one only with drinks. A place to avoid!!
