Premier Inn Alnwick hotel in Northumberland

Had a wonderful few days here with friends. Very friendly, extremely hard working staff. Lovely room, great food. Would definitely return.

We had a premier room on the 2nd floor. Clean-ish room but bathroom needs a deep clean. Air conditioned whistles throughout the night. Bar staff not especially friendly. Not far from town in a small industrial estate.

Facilities very good and new .... location in a tatty industrial estate ... not good first inpressions.... charging premium rates

I recently stayed at the Premier Inn in Alnwick and was very disappointed with the condition and cleanliness of the room. Premier Inn is usually reliable for offering clean, comfortable rooms, but unfortunately, this stay did not meet those expectations. The furniture was dusty and marked, particularly the side table which had clear signs of neglect. The desk was also dirty, with multiple stains and sticky patches left uncleaned. The walls around the room were heavily scuffed and marked, adding to the overall worn and poorly maintained feel. What made the experience even worse was that I raised these issues with staff and asked for the room to be properly cleaned — not once, but twice — and nothing was done about it during my stay. Despite assurances that housekeeping would attend, no action was taken, which left me feeling completely ignored as a guest. Overall, the rooms at Alnwick Premier Inn clearly need much more attention when it comes to cleaning and maintenance. Being made to stay in these conditions, especially after requesting help more than once, was extremely disappointing and not up to the standards I expect from Premier Inn.

Booked in for one night whilst visiting alnwick and the surrounding area. Clean and tidy with a modern design. Nice breakfast served the following morning .

Cannot thank the staff enough, super helpful (and saved us a bit with the evening meal and breakfast deal), the room was nice and honestly one of the best nights' sleep in ages. I can't recommend the restaurant enough.

Overall a good stay, room a great size with everything you might need , comfortable bed but pillows could be better. Buffet breakfast had the usual Premier Inn offering both hot and cold. The Danish pastries were excellent. All staff were nice.

Will never stay at Premier Inn again. Utter disbelief - arrived to check-in after reserving a room 1 month previously. Told our booking existed but was assigned to a room that did not exist. Staff had zero customer service skills and told us to walk to other hotels ... it was 1am in February ... there were no other hotels! Told by staff there was 'nothing they could do'. Eventually we found a room ourselves in Premier Inn Berwick - a 40 minute drive away. We had to pay taxi £80 each way to get there and back for our car and a further £111 to book into the Berwick PI. Absolutely speechless many times during this issue.

Sited on an industrial estate on the edge of Alnwick. The room was ok but no drawers to put underwear etc in, just hanging space. The bathroom could do with some hand rails in and near the shower as I slipped getting into it. It's a pity you cannot open the window as the room got very stuffy. We had an evening meal which was extremely disappointing as the nachos were served without sour cream or guacamole. We were not given an offer of another starter or a refund. On the other hand the breakfast was excellent.

A very warm welcome and check in. Great room with everything you need. Super selection for breakfast. Great service behind the bar.

Needs more staff. Poor girls working there run off their feet.

Great value for money. New building so the hotel looks great. Plenty of space in the rooms. Loads of parking, EV charging available. Breakfast was good. Obviously Alnwick is a great place to visit, but the hotel is unfortunately located within an industrial area.But that’s the only real negative.

Just back from overnight stay at the Alnwick premier inn first visit to there but won’t be our last very comfortable and staff were excellent lovely breakfast with plenty choice and Emma come to see us as we left thanks for your help to all the staff.

A little out of the town centre about a 20 minute walk. Great staff nice rooms.

Easily one of the best Premier Inns (or similar type hotels) I've stayed in. Room and bathroom was superbly clean, bed was very comfortable and for a very reasonable price for a two-night stay. Only negative was the self service check in wasn't working when we arrived which meant we were waiting around a bit as staff were busy in the restuarant area.

Stayed here for two nights to attend a wedding at Charlton Hall. Fabulous experience - lovely comfortable room, nice breakfast and very helpful staff. Special mention to George who always had a smile and was super helpful.

I slept well in a comfortable and safe room that provided what I needed at a good price. The hotel looked brand new. Breakfast set me up for the day!!!

Could hear noise from lots of people

NO CHANGING SPACE FOR BABIES IN TOILETS! This is completely unacceptable in a family hotel. I had to change my baby on the floor in the main hotel area. Considering I have a hip issue myself and find it hard to kneel this was really complicated also not hygienic considering that's an eating and relaxing area. This shows lack of inclusivity in many levels. This should get fixed ASAP. Would still want to visit as it's a lovely hotel but this should be fixed ASAP.

For a disabled person these rooms are great. Lots of wet room space for wheelchair access. Easy access beds. Everything in reach. Comfortable spotless clean. First rate

A first introduction to Premier Inn and what an introduction. Very nice, new, tasteful hotel, quietly located at the entrance to Alwick. Not far from the center of this beautiful town and the beautiful castle. We were received in a very friendly and helpful manner by a lady who turned out to be the manager, what a difference from most chain hotels! Perfect rooms, very good bed and blankets, very good shower, slept very well. We went for dinner in the evening: simple good meals: good curry and a proper Beef Ale Pie. Very quiet good good atmosphere in the restaurant and at the bar. Premier Inn has an interesting system for reservations with different prices, please check the website.

Great location, food and friendly staff. Clean and quiet room with working air conditioning. Book in advance and use the meal deal options. Free bus service in Alnwick with the stop right at the hotel. Easy walk to the centre and castle.

Lovely new hotel. Has a bus that stops outside every 19 minutes past the hour which is free and takes you to local attractions such as alnwick castle/lilidorei. Rooms were fine. Only thing that let's the place down is lack of staff, every night trying to get a reservation for food you are looking at 8 o clock onwards as they only serve around 3 families at once. Obviously not the staffs fault as they were lovely but premier inn clearly needs to look at letting them have more staff on as they were struggling to keep up with demand.

Really clean and well presented. Probably one of the better premier inn we have stayed in. The location 2 minutes off the A1 is brilliant and only a 25 minute walk into Alnwick.

A relatively new Premier Inn at the back of an industrial estate, meaning it has loads of free parking and was also pretty quiet. Well located for the town and castle (10/15 minutes walk) and nice clean rooms. This was a family stay (4 people) and the room was comfortable. A good stay.

Noone at the desk, self service doesn't work, restaurant closed at 8.30 🤦‍♂️For £164 I expect to have a person to greet me, show me to my room and somewhere to get some food. Disappointing as tbe building and rooms are brand new and first class

So near but so far. This premier inn could have so easily been four or five stars unfortunately a few things got in the way. Firstly although the location is on an industrial estate the hotel itself is well kept and well maintained on the outside. The reception it clean and tidy and employs a self checking in system which wasn't working meaning we had a 10 minute wait to check in. The room on first impressions was clean and tidy but was let down by the fact that the toilet seat was broken, apart from that the room was what you would expect. The biggest let down was the fact that we couldn't get anything to eat due to the restaurant being full booked which is a little difficult to understand with this being a hotel surely they should know how many people they could potentially be catering for. The limited interaction we had with the staff was fine with the young lad behind the bar being the highlight.

Excellent newish Premier Inn. Rooms and beds are very good. Spotlessly clean. The staff were lovely too. Very helpful and friendly.

The best premier inns we've stayed in so far!! 😃free parking and a stones throw away from the A1 makes it the perfect location, the hotel itself looks very modern and updated, it must have been built very recently. Indoors its very clean and tidy compared to some premier inns, the hotel was obviously short staffed as we had the same two members of staff covering reception, then covering the bar and also covering serving food and taking orders. But they were absolutely great taking time to interact with guests and going that extra mile. Special shout out to Daniel for tip top service. The guy deserves some recognition he really made our stay unforgettable. If your looking for a hotel in Alnwick this is the one for you. Its also very close to the town centre/castle/gardens and almounth beach.

Clean and comfortable rooms, just what you need for an overnight stay. The staff were not very efficient with 3 people dealing with one person in a noisy environment.

I stayed here as part of a group of 5 for a golf trip and it was perfect for what we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful from start to finish and the breakfast was great. The location makes it a little tricky to get food in the evening, meaning one of us had to be the designated driver until we got back. This did mean that there was a nice atmosphere in the bar/reception area of the hotel as many groups were enjoying the service at the hotel. There is plenty of free parking outside the hotel that felt secure. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for the one night we stayed.

The staff here are amazing, they literally can't do enough for you and every time I or another guest interacted with them they were all smiles and genuine attention to questions or concerns, also not to mention a very accessible location being a stones throw from the A1 but the staff really bring this hotel to the top

Nice place to stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly, couldn't do enough for you. They were short staffed when we were having food but that didn't stop them giving the best service they could. Food got a bit boring we were there for 4 nights. Would stay here again as not to far from town and a nice pub up the road.

Premier Inn standards great hotel chain and staff are always great, only downside is rooms are always warm /hot as us no windows to open and thermostat dosent go below 19c. Rooms have everything you need and a great night's sleep

Located on an industrial estate with some pot hole filled access roads BUT one of the best premier inns I've stopped in. The staff were brilliant and the food was amazing, I highly recommend eating in the hotel. Easy access off the A1 and about a 20 minutes walk into Alnwick
