Fantastic fish and chips. The fish is baked to order rather than deep fried in batter. You have to wait 10 mins because everything is cooked to order. Marvellous.

This quaint seaside village is like a few on this coast tricky when it comes to parking so be warned! Contrary to the information on this eatery it’s closed more than it isn’t. If it had been open we would have ‘taken out’ and sat in the little garden at the junction of Marine Rd and Northumberland St, which has fantastic views out to sea

We had takeaway from here twice during our week in Alnmouth, both times really tasty. Between us Over the visits we had the Lobster and Fries, Crabcakes with sweet potato fries and the Smoked Haddock Mac & Cheese - which is the tastiest Mac And Cheese I’ve ever had. Short wait while the food was prepared, and then all packaged really well to take back and enjoy. We will be back.

The menu over-claimed and so we were sorely disappointed. We ordered the bun “full to the gunwales” with lobster & prawn and with mayonnaise. It was full but only of mayonnaise and an OK amount of prawn, but the tiniest slither of lobster. Couldn’t taste anything other than the mayo. Chucked it away sadly. Pity as the people were lovely and other reviews were great. Maybe it was impacted by the pandemic’s challenges.

Great seafood takeaway for lunch sitting in the sunand back for an ice cream later! Such a character too!

We visited Alnmouth today and this place was top on our list of potential lunch spots, we were not disappointed! The fresh crab cake and fries were absolutely delicious and the special crab bun was a big hit! The owner was very friendly, service was great, all food was freshly prepared. So good we returned for ice cream for pudding! Highly recommend this little spot on a trip to Alnmouth 😊

We had a fantastic takeaway meal from here, each of us choosing one of the four main options - crab cakes with a pot of smooth guacamole and skin on sweet potato fries, sea bass with greens, burger with all the trimmings and a chicken wrap. Cooked fresh to order, just long enough for a play on the swings in the park whilst we waited. Returned to the park to one of the picnic tables to eat - dinner with a view in the sunshine! All came boxed in eco friendly packaging with wooden cutlery & little paper pots of sauce as standard. Food was delicious, great flavours and super fresh. Really friendly welcome here and would recommend to anyone.

After sampling the amazing crab cakes earlier in the week (highly recommended) we had lobster and skin on fries and some smoked haddock mac and cheese to takeaway tonight. Ordered, had a wander up Alnmouth high street and ten mins later, it was all bagged up (all in eco friendly boxes/bags and with eco friendly disposable cutlery) and ready to to take home. It was all absolutely delicious. The ice cream is also great - we’ve had some most nights during our week-long stay! And the owners are incredibly friendly. Absolutely worth a visit.

We had a takeaway in our apartment as our Grandson was having his afternoon nap. We had the Crab Rolls; Seafood Rolls; Fishcakes and Mac & Cheese with Craster Kippers. All wonderfully fresh, and the Mac n Cheese was outstanding. Very friendly staff too. At £10 per head, this still represented good value for such high quality seafood. Yum.

Sat outside on the pavement next to the quite road. Ordered the Mac N Cheese with smoked mackerel and my partner had the crab cakes and chips. Both were delicious, nice and hot and friendly service!

lets say the nice things first-crab sarnies here are super fresh and tasty cons-they are £7.99 each!!!(goodness knows what a lobster one is-but definitely too rich for my blood and I live 35 miles from London prices!) and in a normal sized bap so you wont be full after one the opening times vary a lot and are seasonal too but mostly its open tues thurs and saturday lunch times

We travelled to Alnmouth specially to have the Lobster and Chips . We had looked on the internet to look at the times and the days it was open before we set off, only to get there to find it was closed, I rang the number to be told they do not serve until June because of the price of Lobsters...!!!!!!! Can you please make it clear in future as I appear to not be the only one who has had a wasted journey.

A tiny seafood shack attached to a restaurant. A couple of seats inside and a few more on the pavement outside. We had Mac and cheese with mackerel and a crab cake and chips. We drank our own bottle of wine in the street, the owner offered us glasses. Amazing food and such a lovely place to eat. Choose a sunny day and eat outside or take the food to the beach. Places like this are few and far between - just lovely!

Had to call here after reading the reviews. No lobster on when we called but had the smoked haddock Mac n cheese and the crab cakes with chips, both were delicious and good portions too. The owner was lovely and made us welcome. If you are in Alnmouth and this place is open you must try it, you will not be disappointed

A super find in Alnmouth, food is delicious. Only a tiny wee place, there are a couple of tables if you want to eat in or do a takeaway as I did.

We visited in August due to reading reviews on Trip Advisor and it didn't disappoint. Unfortunately, there was no half lobster available (they cook what's caught!) but we still ate heartily and both kids (3 boys 12,10,8) and adults enjoyed. We had a lovely chat with the owner who enthralled the children with tales of giant lobsters and his knowledge of seafood. A cute place with tons of character! The best 'fast food' in the UK without a doubt.

Beautifully fresh crab in a brown roll with coleslaw and crisps to go. Absolutely delicious. What a little gem.

Half lobster with fries at market price around £10 - £12, fresh Lindisfarne oysters at £1 each.. This would be over double the price in London and other establishments near by. Served by a true fisherman, yet to see his poor wife (I think ) in the back kitchen slaving away over a hot stove.

As this quirky little shack was open today couldn't resist but to go in. Received a very warm welcome from the owner who's a real fisherman making the experience even more authentic. Wasn't even hungry but soon ordered smoked haddock chowder which came with buttered bread. Served quickly and sat outside in sunshine to thoroughly enjoy. Will definitely return for more and try their restaurant which is next door. Love the rustic traditional decor as well as the food. Perfect.

I went in for some chips which were cooked freshly to order and delivered to me whilst I sat outside at their table in the sun. I then asked if there was any tartare sauce to have with them. The owner’ response was, I could make some up for you! I felt embarrassed to be putting him to the trouble but it was done in a jiffy and was delicious.

As a family of seafood lovers we were really looking forward to trying Northumberland Street Food - and we certainly weren't disappointed! WOW! Absolutely fabulous! We had crab cakes (that salsa is to die for Donald!), smoked haddock mac'n'cheese and crab roll (full to the brim of delicious fresh crab) and every crumb was polished off. The prices are extremely reasonable and the quality (and quantity) generous. All prepared and served by a delightful and charming host. Having eaten seafood everywhere from the north of Scotland to the south of Spain, this is up there with the very best! Thank You for a truly memorable lunch! Any downsides? Only that it doesn't open every day - if it had, we would have been there"

Found this open today and was intrigued by the menu. Ordered smoked cod mac and cheese, crab cake and sweet potato fries to share. The mac and cheese was divine and crab cake really tasty with loads of crab. Was a great place for a quick lunch just be aware the menu is quite small. Decent prices and great service I'm sure we'll return!

Revisiting Alnmouth today, spotted Northumberland Street Food open. Decided to give it a go and very pleased we did. Started with a pot of crab claws £1 each. Followed by French fries, lobster and lemon mayo £9.95 per head. Had a laugh with Donald who gave us some good local info. All very enjoyable decided to take home crab cakes and kipper pate for later. Loved it.

Don't think I've reviewed a place the same day I've eaten there before but this is exceptional. We were driving home from the Scottish Borders to Sheffield and followed the coast road to beautiful Alnmouth near Alnwick. We needed lunch and were heading to the pub when we spotted this place and its intriguing sign on the door. It's a tiny place so we were lucky to get a table inside and we ordered a selection of things off the board to share. If you like seafood you will not be disappointed. The food is as fresh as you can get and has bags of flavour. If I lived locally I reckon I'd be tucking into the smoked mackerel mac & cheese about three times a week! The fries with the lobster were gorgeous, obviously homemade with bits of skin still on (which I absolutely love), the sauce was delicious. We also had the crab cake and sweet potato fries. Everything was worthy of 5 stars and you get a very friendly welcome. Wish we didn't live 4 hours' drive away, this little place is an absolute gem.

El lugar no parece mucho, pero es bueno por!

Nos habíamos perdido en el fin de semana volver a tarde, así que estaban en una misión para probarlo durante la semana. Ambos decidimos por la langosta. Soy un nuevo convertir a langosta y este fue el mejor hasta ahora, pudo haber tenido una segunda parte era tan sabroso.

I love this place, I think Donald is great fun and a fantastic host. I love the food and come whenever I can. It's beauty is in the simplicity - small menu cooked superbly! Thank you for giving us this little gem.

After a Michelin based break it is such a pleasure to go into a little shack and sit by the window and savour freshly cooked lobster and a crab sandwich; a real back to basics pleasure!

This wonderful seafood shack is run by Donald and Susan who run the adjacent Beaches Bistro. We have eaten at the Bistro many times over the years and so it was no surprise to find that they have applied the same magical formula to Northumberland Street Food.

El restaurante es pequeño y solo asientos unas cuantas. Pero cuando llegas te encuentras con un propietario sonriente.

Nos lo habían recomendado este pequeño lugar con un guía local y no nos decepcionó. El lugar es pequeño, la comida es fabulosa. Tuvimos la langosta y gambas stoaties y llevó a la playa cercana para comer. Fueron tan bien que regresamos y compramos más. El menú cambia diariamente y consta de mariscos locales. Este fue un gran descubrimiento y lo recomiendo sin duda.

This is only open at lunchtimes 3 times a week. Quite often there is a queue but it's well worth the wait. They serve up whatever seafood and fish is available from the local fisherman. I was lucky enough to be able to taste the grilled lobster with mornay sauce and fries. wow - very succulent and delicate. I couldn't fault it and am impressed by their cook.

Hemos estado aquí dos veces esta semana para el almuerzo. Muy bien de precio, sobre un fiver para cada elemento. Teníamos el bocadillo de cangrejo y la langosta, sandwich de gambas. Sabroso, fresco pan bollo recién cogido cangrejos desde Donald ese día (suponemos que él también era el servidor como él tenía una barba donald!). Las patatas fritas de camote estupendo también.

Yo estaba fascinado por la comida "de la calle" esta todo comido havig el workld. La pizarra se describe un panecillo marrón lleno hasta el "gunwhales" con cangrejo y gambas. Llegó bien presentado en una bonita caja con algunas hojas y una rodaja de limón, pero con la tapa del bollo allí era la más pobre la cantidad de llenado! Esto no habría sido tan malo si no había hecho tal cosa sobre la abundante (y pagamos £9.95!) No es para nosotros!

Fuimos a las playas para tomar un bocado rápido almuerzo antes de regresar al pub. Absolutamente delicioso, el cangrejo con salsa sourcream y dio en el clavo y las patatas fritas de camote eran excelentes. Muy bien de precio y justo tamaño para un bocado ligero! En verdad, las croquetas de cangrejo eran prácticamente el 100% de cangrejo, servida en algunos con salsa casera y peashooter. Así muy sabroso! Su pizarra tiene muchas alternativas de aperitivos de marisco. Sin duda volveremos! NOMZ!

La cabaña de marisco (adjunto al restaurante Beaches) es el lugar de Alnmouth. para comer marisco fresco para llevar o comer (aunque es muy pequeña, así que comer en sería un poco estrecha).

Dirigido por la misma gente que tiene playas restaurante de al lado, el mismo encanto marido y mujer equipo de Donald y Sue ( Samantha), sopa de cangrejos y sándwiches para morirse, el mejor que hemos tenido en nuestras visitas de Northumbria. Todo es fresco, un montón de carne de cangrejo en blanco , sazonadas marrones, si quieres langosta que está disponible también.

I bought my tea time sandwich from here, having been lured by the Chalk board outside. The quality of the food was met by the warm and friendly service.

pequeño lugar nos Topamos con bajo, una comida increíble. langosta, ostras, cangrejos todo estaba delicioso y algunas opciones vegetarianas también - lentejas al y remolacha pattie, precioso camote patatas fritas, presentación, servicio excelente qué encontrar. Comida de la calle de mariscos, pero puede preparar nada, nos hizo un gran almuerzo crudite para mi esposa, incluso tenía unos postres deliciosos cuando le preguntamos por lo que no se ve por qué en la junta, pedir lo que tienen.
