What a find! A friend and I spent today at the spa at Whitekirk Hill. We went for ‘the perfect day’ spa package. We arrived at 9.45am and were shown the facilities before being taken to a relaxation room, that was ours for the day, with arrival drinks and nibbles waiting for us. We had use of the room until 5pm and there was no one chasing us out so we really did have a full day here. In the morning we had an hour long Elemis massage and in the afternoon an Elemis facial. Lunch was the most delicious afternoon tea with fizz and it really was first class! As a vegetarian I sometimes feel the sandwich fillings aren’t well thought out but not here. The fillings were delicious and the scones to die for! This family run establishment is a must if you like a top notch spa! We’ll definitely be back!

Called in on our way back to the holiday cottage after a trip out to the hills. Tea and cake seemed in order and as ever the cafe delivered just what we needed! Delicious fruit scone for my husband and a lovely lemon fridge slice for me. The staff are so friendly and the surroundings so nice. A favourite spot!

Tuvimos un delicioso almuerzo en nuestro local.El pollo con semillas de sésamo con salsa de miel y soja estaba tan tierno, el costillar ahumado era perfecto y, siendo yo búlgaro, pedí una ensalada Shopska, que me devolvió el sabor de casa a lo grande. Siempre amables, siempre acogedores y aman a nuestra perrita Missy: puntos extra de brownie.

We booked this family run hotel for a funeral tea for my brother. Having never been before we dropped in for a visit, and were warmly welcomed by the owners, we were given reassurance about the day and could tell that they have experience in this type of event. We were not disappointed the food was warm and plentiful. We were all well looked after, the atmosphere relaxed. nothing was too much trouble. We appreciate everything that was done to help us on this sad and stressful day. I would like to go back one day in happier circumstances.

The food was tasteless, edible but absolutely nothing interesting. The staff with a smile on their face forgets half of the order, then adds an additional £10 tip, pretending not to hear - typical "tourist trap" - avoid at all costs. There is a bakery on the floor below which is definitely cheaper, better and has a more atmospheric atmosphere.

Teníamos pescado con patatas fritas y salmón escocés. El salmón era excelente! Definitivamente ordene esto. El pescado con papas fritas está bien. Escogeríamos otra cosa la próxima vez. Los precios eran razonables. El servicio fue muy bueno y la comida salió pronto.

Great place to see the footie. Also very good for food and beer, could not ask for more.

it’s obvious that the 4 star rating comes from the club downstairs cause the restaurant was more than disappointing. -We waited a FULL HOUR to get our food, while being the only ones in that restaurant. -The food was also really bad, extremely dry and unseasoned. -We got served food that we did not order which was later on added to the bill ( we did not realise until we ate it when they brought more of the same dish which was the one we did order) . -there is not one brazilian working in that restaurant and we should’ve realised that by the spanish music but that’s literally the smallest problem -the manager got a very snarky atitude and was very unwelcoming -the Caipirinha was literally a glass of plain cahaça -the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting -the only decent thing about it was the atmosphere like it has potential but goddamn change the management and the chef

Muy decepcionado de que ya no hay bagels sin gluten. Compra con el aspecto de que podría hacer con una buena limpieza. Personal agradable.

Cannot fault this place the special fish is tasty and huge! My pizza was so delicious I had it again the following weekend! We try and eat here couple of times a month as a treat it’s a family favourite staff are very friendly too!

We went on this tour on Saturday 3rd of September for my daughters 21st birthday the lady that took the tour was brilliant learnt lots about GIN and got to sample purchase and wax top a mini bottle, it is really worth a visit the Tour Guide was called Elisa very easy to understand, I would recommend if your staying central Edinburgh you would need a taxi to and from! But overall a fabulous 👌 day out thanks from us in Belfast x

I no longer stay at the hotel but I still go to the public bar and injoy my time there also the staff are still very welcoming and friendly as all the people who go there to
