Biblos in Edinburgh exceeded my expectations on my first visit! The fish and chips were absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely be back for more.

Excellent first stop in Dublin, if or if you have to try “Cullen skink” a delight. 😋

Very friendly staff and good for snacks after a day walking around. It's big and good atmosphere

The nachos with cheese and chilli beans are delicious, only the guacamole doesn't taste as much like guacamole (I'm Mexican and we always rate guacamole), the chicken burgers with haggis are well served, the prices are correct, the place is cozy and well located.

Food is very bland. Service was alright. Stop in here for a quick drink at most. Don’t waste your time with the food, unless your prepared for disappointment.

We did the menu experience with folk music. An unbeatable environment. The food was very good and filling. Highlight Valeria, who helped us a lot with the language and made everything even more comfortable.

As ever the haggis balls are fantastic .

Mi favorita es la cena de salmón, pero su pastel de pastor vegetariano y pescado con papas fritas también son muy buenos. Probablemente lo mejor es hacer una reserva para la cena (especialmente durante los festivales y diciembre). Abierto para el almuerzo y la cena. Muy recomendable!

Nice little place to eat something until "late" time. Typical dishes, good Cullen skink and good hamburgers!

We liked it so much that we went back twice!! Everything was delicious! The brownie with ice cream is also great!

Super beer, real scotch IPA, authentic atmosphere. It has to be experienced.

Today we had fish, chips and beer in this restaurant. After finishing my dinner, I went out to buy something as my wife continues her beer. I returned back after 15 minutes and learned that the waitress has brought the check to my wife as soon as I left. Apparently, they thought that we would escape without paying. What a cheap place! I definitely do not recommend this place especially for the tourists.

We had dinner with our family at this restaurant. The choice of dishes is not very large, but all the food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Service is fast.

Reasonable prices given the very central location. I recommend the bruscetta. The chips were also great.

Staff were great. I had fish and chips and it was cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed a cocktail or two. We booked, but it was quiet when when we went in. It got busier later. But I nice place for after theater meal.

Restaurant a stone's throw from the ibis center south bridge hotel. The setting is a little dated but the welcome is warm. The waitresses are adorable. The service is fast The dishes are particularly generous with special mention for the haggis balls and fish and chips. It was very good. Thanks to the whole team

I recently dined at Biblos Bar and Diner and had a great experience. I ordered fish and chips, and both the food and service were excellent. The meal was satisfying, and the staff were especially attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to eat in Edinburgh.

Acabo de terminar de informar a nuestros buenos amigos que se dirigen a Edimburgo en breve y este lugar estaba sólidamente en la categoría "Evitar". Aunque esta no fue la peor comida que tuvimos en el Reino Unido (gracias Aeropuerto de Heathrow) , definitivamente está ahí arriba. Tomé dos bocados de una de las peores hamburguesas que he comido en mi vida y dejé el resto en el plato. Salta este lugar, hay un montón de mejores lugares para comer en Old Town. . .

I don't understand how this place can have so many positive reviews. Panini had little filling, fish and chips were very greasy and had a thick parnier, shepherd's pie had no taste and pepper-lemon chicken was inedible and tasted like WC Klostein. Espresso Martini Okay, music good. Shop very run down

Excellent Pub in the center of Edinburgh a stone's throw from the Royal Mile. Good food and good beer served by attentive and kind staff

Interesting place. Good food, large portions and reasonable prices.

Food was ok, but service was poor. We sat for 10 minutes and servers repeatedly walked past without asking if we wanted a menu or drinks. We had children with us, as did another table who also had to chase the staff to get served. Maybe that worked against us, though it shouldn't have. The staff were very dour, not a smile to be seen. We didn't feel welcome and if we hadn't needed a quick lunch break, we'd have left. We won't be back.

Stopped for Saturday lunch and was a good contemporary pub Good beer selection. We all had light lunches, soups and salad and glad we stopped there

We were in town for the Fringe festival. Stopped in with friends for dinner. All the food was very good. Service was terrific. I can highly recommend!

Very good food and friendly staff too! However, the ambience is already getting old... the leather chairs are already falling apart and the tables and seats are already very worn! But one of the few traditional Scottish restaurants in the middle of Chinese restaurants and fast food chains!

Be careful with card payment. The waiter collected almost 10 pounds of tip by adding it to the dataphone without saying anything.

Careful!! When the waiter charged us, he added 11 pounds as a tip without saying anything. We realized it when we received a notification from the bank when the payment was made.

ACCOUNT!!! ROBEN We were charged €10 more than the bill indicated. They "charged" a tip of €11, in addition to the £3 we already left as a tip when paying by card.

I had a chicken breast sandwich served with excellent chips, very good. close to the center and not very expensive for the area

Place to have dinner, some of the meals were good but some were not, for example the Caesar salad was scarce, but the rest was good and drinks at a good price.

It is a very average place to eat. The soup of the day (potato soup) was tasteless, and the bread was definitely not fresh. The regular burger was ok, nice size and nice fries as a side. The people working were nice. Overall, it was a bit overpriced for what it was.

Stopped here to have a drink before going to festival theatre. Nice sitting outside people watching but went inside to use the loo and so glad i wasn't eating there. It looked and felt so dirty and dark and dingy. Will not be back. Cant give a star as not worth it.

We visited Biblos twice during a 4 day trip to Edinburgh and it was great both times. The food was lovely; on the first night we had fish and chips and tiger prawns, on the second night we had the steak panini and the mighty biblos burger. Would recommend it all! The staff were very pleasant and the venue was clean and comfortable. We'd definitely visit again the next time we're in Edinburgh!

Great portions for the affordable price, food tasted good too, however the staff were not at all engaging and acted like they were counting down the minutes till their shift was over, we had to get up and ask for the check as no server had come over at all after our food was served.

Hungry after visiting the national museum? This is the place to go! Great food and brews. I recommend the salmon, haggis balls and the black and blue burger. Great for large groups too. They seated all 7 of us. 👍

It is essential to contextualize that in the United Kingdom, in general, the food is terrible. That being said, the value for money at Byblos was good by British standards. Good but without getting too excited. Satisfying and sufficient.

Table for 5 mid week - a number of requirements (a bit needy) Ester was an absolute star - nothing too much trouble and so helpful.

What a great place. The fish was very fatty. You get exactly 5 chips with your fish and chips. The citizens were very one-sided. For example, the spicy burger was extremely spicy and the normal burger tasted like nothing. The 5.5 pound garlic bread consisted of 4 small slices of bread. Arrogant and incompetent staff and the pears were more sour than the pickle. In conclusion, what a kabloinky bad place.

We went to their Folk music and Scottish food evening. The music was very good. Combination of older traditional tunes mixed with more contemporary. Food and service was excellent. If you aren't familiar with Scottish food, this is a great way to try it out. It's quite good!

The food is ok at an affordable price, the staff is friendly. As a minus, I don't understand why when a person comes to take your order, why not only that person serves you until the end and every time the person who serves you changes proof that the food was ok is this picture

Best fish and chips we’ve had in years ! We both got a large well cooked portion of fish, with tasty crisp chips and peas and a pot of tartar sauce to compliment it all and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Hubby’s beer was ice cold and my pot of tea very hot, it doesn’t get any better than this place !

Maten smakte grei, ikke noe ekstraordinær men vanlig smak. Fish and chips var våt og virket som mye av maten er laget på forhånd. Det tok ikke lang tid å få maten, så det er både positivt som negativt. Ellers ganske dyrt for det man får.

Think the chef had a hangover when we visited. Overcooked, dry chicken, undercooked hard veg and very small portions. Can't say I'll be back anytime.... Ever? Gf options are weird too... Burger with no chips, bun or sauce 😐
