Cannot fault this place the special fish is tasty and huge! My pizza was so delicious I had it again the following weekend! We try and eat here couple of times a month as a treat it’s a family favourite staff are very friendly too!

Through from Glasgow to visit my sister and we ordered food from this take away at 18.20 and at 20.00 and 2 phone calls nothing has arrived. They were also angry that my sister had rung twice

The donar kebabs we got were absolutely awful the meat was dry and tasteless couldn't eat them. Will not be back

I have ordered from Dinos several times now since moving to the area. Always first class food and friendly staff. I recommend popping in and ordering where possible as saves on any possible delays.

i ordered at 7.00 my order came at 10.00pm not only was my food freezing cold the big order was missing 3 items, the cheese on my chips were rock solid.Definitely will not be returning. No refund offered.

I ordered a chicken burger which took 2 and a half hours to arrive which is absolutely ages to wait after being told that the estimated wait time was 1 hour 15. After arriving and unboxing the burger it was in some state and was not even cooked right the way through in fact some parts were pink. Save yourself and your cash by listening to this review.

Excellent, fresh, hot and delicious! Pasta was delicious and the half chicken supper was fresh and massive-would have fed the whole Family! I had to travel back to West Linton and even heating the pasta a little the sauce was beautiful and creamy…I wouldn’t go past here!

Ordered online with a forty minute wait time - chased it when ten minutes late, chased it when thirty five minutes late, finally delivered an hour and five minutes late, almost two hours after ordering. Whilst I appreciate they were busy, they told me several times each time I rang back, their own site said forty minutes. If it had been accurate I would have gone elsewhere - which is what I'll be doing next time. As food as the fish was, I don't want to eat it so late in the evening because the premises is concentrating on walk in trade. Incidentally the accompanying pizza was poor - it looked thrown together and the lid had been pressed right down meaning half the topping was glued to the inside of the lid. I know it's fast food and not fine dining but that's not really good enough. Again, there is only so much great fish can make up for.

Have just ordered 2 portions of chips to be delivered as at work and cant leave, got told they be here 6.30pm, arrived at 5.45, not a bad thing except we had pies to go in oven for chips to accompany, so that threw that off, chips were cold, no salt at all, but did request salt, and the pathetic amount of sauce on was embarrassing, talked my colleague into Dinos as it was always good, but wont be back, if they cant even get few bags of chips correct.

Usually very good, but most disappointing Small fish cooked to order batter was brick hard & fish what FISH all hard batter & no fish

Got a single fish a hamburger supper and a portion of onion rings yuck the hamburgers tasted off the onion rings where saturated in oil and the batter was non existent but the fish was Ok as my mum said

We normally treat ourselves to a Dino's when we visit Edinburgh to see Family and we always fall on the food and devour it. This time instead of picking it up we were trying to show Mum how easy it is to call up and order, which we did 1 hour 20 mins and 2 calls later it arrived. The chips were raw My Husband ordered chicken curry it was tiny pieces of chicken (that looked processed) sauce that tasted like it was out of a box and raw red onions, what???? We were so disappointed, all day on the way North we were looking forward to our "suppers" tbh it was inedible 🙄 it is usually lovely but we won't be having it again sorry Dino's this was an expensive inedible experience we won't be repeating.

We were first introduced to Dinos several years ago and we really do enjoy the food they serve. Tonight, I had a fish supper, the chips were nice and chunky and the fish was both fresh and large. When I say large, I mean lovely big chunks of flaky white meat, bigger than any I have had in anywhere in Scotland. Customer service is always very good and never slips no matter how busy it gets. Warning, it is so popular it gets busy but well worth the wait,

Quality of food is consistent and excellent, staff always friendly, and always busy.The amount of awards they've won backs this up :-) .

I had a fish supper - huge piece of fish, loads of chips and all very tasty. They also do kebabs, pasta and pizza. Normally this would be full marks but I have to mark down anywhere that feels the need to sell half bottles of vodka.

Only started going here recently and it's a great takeaway.... Plenty choice of food. Fish and chips excellent as well as kebabs and burgers. Friendly efficient staff.

again on my way to my hotel I stop for a kebab the kebab was well cooked and well presented the staff friendly and polite and the restaurant was very clean and well presented

Overall Dinos offers wide variety of food, from burgers to pizzas. They have really good kebabs as well.

Ordered here tonight 10inch meat fast deep pan pizza haggis pakora order came and was wrong veg pakora instead of haggis the pizza was a 12inch thin crisp and was all bashed in the box and all soggy phoned up they sent the right things...

Got pizzas the other night. Happy to substitute toppings at no extra cost. Friendly staff. Clean and modern inside. The menu is extensive with a few more unusual items. Never had a bad experience there.

Typical Scottish chippy with a wide variety of takeaway food available. Spotlessly clean and friendly efficient staff.

Usually Our chippy of choice in the area ... called in for a mixed kebab and it was burnt and chewy... I vote yearly for Dinos to be named best takeaway but after a couple of Miss haps re food and the poor customer service...

Theres no questioning dinos food is good. But waiting over 2 hours for one (cold) pizza is outrageous and then having to run after the driver for the drinks is annoying. I've had a long delivery before from here so that's our last delivery Why...

Have used dinos for a long time now and been through the entire menu...Although some things have declined in over a year such as staff changes and some food has deteriorated in my opinion..and delivery really struggles to keep up. This is a fantastic chippy...

I was brought up in Loanhead and was a frequent visitor in my youth (then owned by Dino's father Joe). I visited recently and am glad to say the food is just as good, if not better and would recommend the burgers, cooked to order...

Ordered from this chippy off just eat and they cancelled our order because they basically couldn't be bothered delivering to where we are. If you don't delivery to this area on busy times change your settings on just eat! We pay £2.50 so you can...

I stopped here for a late night Kebab on my way back to my hotel the restaurant was very clean and well presented the food itself was well cooked, well presented and very tasty the staff were friendly and helpful.

It's no ordinary chip shop, never had a complaint and as we live locally we have the food delivered on occasions. Great staff make it a pleasure to wait for your order.

Always happy to put a long haggis in to cook for me cause i prefer them to the large battered haggis. The staff are always pleasant and are efficient and courteous. Lots of chips when you get a supper and the chip butties. Mmmm

To taste the best fish and chips for miles around you have to visit Dinos. The fish batter is alway lovely and crisp. The large fish supper is more than enough for two people.

Phoned for order,waited over 50minutes had to phone back got excuse that it was snowing, then got so called manager who told me mandatory 1hour waiting on orders better they tell you this when ordering so you can go elsewhere, if hungry do not phone...

My partner and I used to order takeout from Dino's regularly until recently when the service standard has taken a huge dip. The food has always been consistently great, however the last 4-5 times I have ordered takeout it has been over 30 minutes late....

I have been a regular to this shop since Joe Pia bought it in 1968, and have knowen "Young" Dino since he was born. His "Special" breaded fish are superb, a massive fish and well worth the detour on my way home to buy them....

My wife and I live in Edinburgh but often make the trip out to Loanhead for Dino's special fish (cooked in breadcrumbs). It is without doubt, the finest fried fish that I have ever tasted - and I look forward to my next visit.
