Chilli Onion in Midlothian

First time getting from chilli and onion and will definitely be getting again food is so nice

Imagine putting your food in a sink full of water then putting it back In a tray .. that's what I got when I opened the tray .I Phoned and was told their chow mein "Doesn't come with sauce" And the attitude I got when I phoned just topped it off . AVOID at all costs ! Pure Rotten

Placed an order online just for the store to not bring my order had to phone and and was met with some angry woman who’s attitude was shocking bad restaurant and bad customer service and to top it all of after waiting over an hour for my food it was cold and bland

Amazing reviews from the hubby-to-be tonight. The cuts of beef you had through your dishes tasted great and the kicks of spice was just right. Thank you for being so accommodating and going the extra mile for us as always. Have a great Christmas all :) xx

The food was terrible, I had beef and tomato, which was made with heinz tomato sauce. The chicken and black bean was so thick and salty, chips were full of fat, and spring rolls were void of filling. I like to spend local, but this actually was the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted.

Food was cold portions were tiny. BBQ sauce was red and tasted very unpleasant

The food is good if they actually follow through on your order. 50% of the time we have ordered from here they have cancelled the order after taking it.

Always good, we normally order on just eat and never had any issues. Highly recommended

Failed to mention that the delivery driver does not have change so the exact amount is needed to pay for the meal. Meal was delivered but driver had no change so been waiting over a hour for him to return with my change. If the person that took the order over the phone had mentioned that the correct amount of money was needed then we would’ve gone elsewhere and will NEVER use again because of this basic issue.

Freshly cooked meals at a good price

Was visiting someone and poped in last year for some food it was disgusting but I did not no complain but was there at the start of the week and yet again the food was rank the woman was down right ignorant and the driver well ?.

Been waiting over 2 hours for delivery and no sign of food! Family and I are starving!

Possibly one of the best chinese meals ive ever had. Just ordered salt and chilli chips, chicken curry, chicken with chilli and garlic sauce, fried chicken with noodles and egg fried rice. Very pleasant girl on the other end of the phone taking our order.Arrived within half an hour although this wont happen all the time. 3 of us very happy with full bellies. Will be buying again.

Broke my teeth twice on this places salt n chilli chicken before also had bones in my chickensoup,now been banned for refusing the 3rd lot of brick and chilli chicken.......Highly unrecomomened!

Absolutely disgusted at the lack of service. Phoned 3 hours ago and never let us know that they declined my card, then proceeded to forget something in the order and it still hasn’t been delivered

Been to this Chinese many times but was pleasantly surprised last weekend...asked for extra chilli on the salt and chilli chicken and they served...thee best chinese ive had in a long time!!

The food was terrible. The ribs and wings tasted horrible - especially the sauces. Overly sweet and tasted off. The special chow mein was a huge disappointment, the meat being the letdown. The chicken fried rice was good. Not worth it. Definitely won't be ordering again.

Was 1 hour n half late cold n no curry sauce with it wont be ordering again very disappointing

Food was 45 minutes late , chips were soggy, chicken was black and the delivery driver left our gate open and the dog ran out onto the road .

Very good Chinese. My local choice.

Got a portion of chips and whilst they were OK (not amazing), I did think it wasn't very good value for money as it was quite a small box.

My order was delivered on time which was good and it was all still hot. Ordered plain noodles for my daughter but they weren't plain... they were covered in sauce.

Excellent phone manner, took order, told us how long it would be. Hot and really enjoyable. Definitely be back.

This was my first visit to Chilli Onion so I can't give a proper review until I've made a few more visits In this occasion I was greeted with a nice smiles and warm welcome, my received my order after only a short wait. Food was nicely cooked and tasted really nice. I will after further visits update this review accordingly. At the moment I have nothing to say (nit that im looking for anything) that would prevent me from recommending Chilli Onion to anyone.

Great prices, brilliant food and decent portions, sometimes I share with my wee girl cos the portions are that big. Lovely lady serving, quick easy no fuss service.

dont like the fact you cant speak to a manager everything has to go through the ppl who answer the phone got a delivery chicken was see through got pictures of how bad it was then u get the attitude of the driver stinks moans when u dnt give him change and moans when u do cant win with this company at all

Love it, great meals. In some ways the same but also different to other takeaways. Well worth trying.

It's no different from any other regular Chinese takeaway but I liked the fact that when you go inside its open-plan.....you can see the chefs cooking. It's not worth going out of your way for though
