Lovely meal, I had the beef Wellington and wifey had the rack of lamb. Both delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff were great and the atmosphere was cosy. I would recommend them as they also do sandwiches which we had a few weeks back and they were lovely as well.

An ok dinner experience was brought down by the general manager being a little too sharp with ‘jokes’, complaining about hours worked and lack of staff and being too busy, felt like we were a burden and not paying guests. Food was good, nothing out of this world. Restaurant felt a bit like a function room. View was amazing but you cant see if from the restaurant except for a few tables on one side.

Mother’s Day lunch was absolutely lovely. 4 amazing roast beef and 1 roast chicken were lovely. The starters and desserts were fantastic too. The one thing we all couldn’t believe was the cauliflower cheese that in itself came out and could have been a main meal, a huge bowl of it and tasty. Lovely venue and really accommodating staff. Thank you

Visited the Bell tonight March 21st. Arrived a bit late but the kitchen staff stayed on a little 👍 Thank you so much for that. The menu is varied enough without being pages and pages. Something for every taste. Kids had chicken nuggets and chips and they are picky little angels. They actually said they were the best nuggets they had ever had !! I had ham egg and chips and it was amazing. Chips fluffy inside, eggs perfect and ham super tasty. Just great homely pub grub that leaves you with a big smile on your face. Thank you very much and we will be back again soon.

What could be better to find at the half way point of a circular Totnes-Dartington walk across the green fields of Devon than a lovely welcoming cafe? Nothing! And that's where The Green Table really comes into its own. Very welcoming staff, a large amount of seating both inside and outside, clean restrooms and a great selection of baked goods, sandwiches and drinks all reasonably priced and served promptly. Honestly one of the best fruited scones I've ever had - warm and plump with a golden crust and a fluffy middle - served with thick clotted cream and sweet strawberry jam, it was an absolute delight to eat alongside a pot of freshly brewed Darjeeling tea, all outside where I could also enjoy the fresh air and a bit of dog watching! 100% would recommend and wouldn't hesitate to come back again...what a treat!

Let's start with the positives. The staff are friendly and attentive. The positives end there. If you don't fancy reading on - save yourself a disappointing experience and find somewhere else to go. The Arancini was pathetic, tasteless and overcooked. Bruschetta was tasteless with the exception of tomatoes which I'm fairly sure came out of a jar. Calzone were the biggest disappointment. No exaggeration - 80% dough, and what little fillings there were tasted of nothing. Plasticky cheese, processed 'meat balls' and the most tasteless pepperoni I've ever had the misfortune to eat. They didn't even pretend that the Parmesan was proper parmesan - it came in the supermarket style shaker, only with the label ripped off. Basically we paid £50 for a meal that was almost entirely dough, - and I'm pretty sure that dough would have come premade on the bake of a Brakes Bros lorry - just like the other ingredients. I can't remember the last time I ate a meal that was so devoid of flavor and nutritional value. Tasteless, low quality rubbish. Wonder why the high street is struggling? Because too many places openly rip off their customers, just like these guys. Pathetic.

We were visitors to the town and Mughals was suggested by staff at our hotel. What a disappointment. We were the only customers in there on a Sunday evening, but thought we'd give it a try. We had to ask the somewhat unkempt and untidy 'waiter' to put some music on to give the place a bit of atmosphere. My husband and I ordered poppadums which came with one small container of mango chutney and one small container of lime pickle...no onions or cucumber relish ( traditional accompaniments). Our mains: lamb biryani and chicken jalfrazi and pilau rice which we had heard being prepared in a microwave were inedible ! Tasteless and lukewarm. We had a couple of mouthfuls, asked for the bill and left! Oh, and the customer toilet had no light in it ! Don't waste your money...give this one a wide berth !
