The Green Table in South Hams

Lovely warm atmosphere inside a cold winters afternoon, lots of variety of lovely delightful cakes & snacks. We went for hot chocolate & coffee which was delicious.

Great stop after a walk and really well cared for by Mattie. The florentine was gorgeous and Benji (daschund) appreciated his water.

Popped in for breakfast as we had stayed at Dartington Hall & it is right next door to the car park. Place was nicely busy (always a good sign) & it had only been open 15mins. We enjoyed lovely sausage sarnies & tasty coffee. Definitely worth stopping by if you are visiting Dartington Hall.

Delicious soup today, so warming on such a cold day. The Green Table felt relaxed with a constant flow of customers. So good to see waiter Matthew there, a key presence from the very beginning.

We were going down 'memory lane'. My friend and I popped in for lunch. We were both fellow students at Dartington in 1973 and I hadn't seen him for over 40 years. On the site of the shop, The Green Table is a large open room with a wonderful choice of food from a counter which is delivered to the numbered table. A warm wood burner created a homely ambiance and paintings on view added quality and colour. The food was delicious. I had a Lentil dal and hummus with sourbread. All made fresh and very tasty. I look forward to eating here again. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Our first visit to the green table since the new team took over Mark and Vicky have done a wonderful job of rejuvenating the environment and the food. We had a fabulous breakfast (spoilt for choice) Everyone is warm and friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and vibrant Well done all we will be back Sally & Julie

Wow.. Revisiting the Green Table Cafe today & so impressed with the new ownership. A fantastic selection of breakfast food on offer , great coffee & staff. However we went for lunch & were spoiled for choice to sit inside or outside it looks & feels so fresh with beautiful artwork & tasteful styling. The lunch menu was wonderful so much choice, I went for the mixes of salad offerings, Couscous, roasted vegetables & a beetroot hummus.My partner had a ciabatta with SMOKED SALMON Yuzu mayo, kimichi, toasted sesame (garlic, mustard).. Was a wonderful day out & pleasantly surprised how much it’s improved. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely amazing place, the owner was brilliant, very attentive. The space was brilliant for remote working. The breakfast was one of the best, all locally sourced food, the vegetarian sourdough with mushrooms, poached eggs and spinach was to die for. I advise everyone to try this place.

We were so excited to hear the Green Table had re opened and even more keen after recieving an email from the Dartington members mailing list on 19 July advertising 10%off on food and drinks for members. We were really disappointed after ordering £60 worth of lunch and pastries to be told this was not the case. I even showed the staff member the email advertising this but the discount was not applied. On top of this The food was average. Mushrooms on toast was a bit bland. Sadly don't think we will be back soon.

Overpriced for an ordinary meal. None of the former originality and no evidence of sustainability. Doesn’t therefore fit with Dartington’s (claimed) vision.

Now managed by the nearby and excellent Cott Inn, but unfortunately nowhere near the same standard. We ordered a bagel only to find they did not have any when the food arrived, and both our dishes were lacking in flavour. Commenting on this at the counter when ordering a dessert the chef (it’s an open kitchen) became rude and aggressive. Avoid unless the food and staff improve.

Rude service, but not just rude, intentionally rude, and unacceptable. Arriving 10 mins before opening time. I waited, along with a handful of other customers by an open door (there were 3 doors to choose from, so we naturally formed a queue by the one that was wide open, facing the staff in the open kitchen area. Once the clock on our phones clicked to 9 a.m., we entered and stood at the till point, where a mustached man stood - he may have been opening the till for service. I smiled and brightly said 'Good morning'. He looked up, said good morning back, and then proceeded to leave the till area, to open another of the doors into the restaurant to let in 2 more customers in. He returned back to the till area but chose the empty neighbouring till, intentionally blanking me and waiting customers behind me. He proceeded to serve the 2 other people he'd just let in, leaving us waiting at a now unmanned till point by his side. We all looked at each other incredulously, we were being ignored as service proceeded for others. We watched, we couldn't believe how someone could be so intentionally rude and treat us as if we were invisible. As soon as the 2 other customers had been served, we moved to the till next to where we stood and I asked why we had all just been ignored. He said (with satisfaction in his tone) that they were not open when we entered, and he had customers waiting at the other door to serve first. No just rude, but intentionally rude service. Not the best start to the day for us all. That said, my bacon and egg sandwich was delicious and the coffee was equally as good. The service ruined my morning and I will simply never return as a result of this. I hope senior management takes note and appropriate actions.

Great food great service.. Been coming here for years for Saturday brunch but today got a ticket for non payment in car park, we certainly thought we had made payment but know the machine can be tempermental at times.. I really can't see why there is not a system to waiver fees like Waitrose have done especially as we were eating in here.

Called into the Green Table for a late lunch- the menu says that the lunch menu is served until 4. We arrived before 3 and were told it was too late for our choice- a BLT - and there was soup and salad only. The soup on the menu was tomato so asked for this- but no it had been changed to lentil! Decided to have a scone with cream and jam instead as lentils do not suit me - disaster there was no cream left!! Decided to eat elsewhere. Really disappointed as have been there on many occasions in the past and found the food and service very good. Unfortunately service was very slow and poor today and there was no apology for the missing items on the menu.

Amazing, lovingly cooked food and awesome baked goodies. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. What really makes this place is the staff, many of whom have been there for years. Always friendly, cheery and helpful. I hope they get paid well for all their effort! The best!

Visiting Dartington Hall Gardens, we finished with coffee at the Green Table, and were not disappointed. You can sit inside, outside under cover or in the sun; eat in or take away - the menu seems to have good variety; and no complaints about either the coffees or the service.

I only had coffee a couple of times. Seems like they have a variety of food for lunch. It closes at 5pm. It needs new tables inside.

The Green Table serves the best coffee, the staff are lovely and very attentive; I haven’t eaten there apart from the freshly baked cakes so can’t comment on the main meals.

Lovely cafe for a catch up with friends. We enjoyed coffee and cake after a walk in the beautiful grounds of Dartington Hall.

We were looking for a light lunch and thought we would try here. BIG mistake! Having dropped off my elderly mother and 2 daughters I headed for the car park. Only spaces were at the very end. A long walk to the machine which didn't take any coins so back to the car; back to the machine and 3 attempts before my card was accepted. Back to the car and then walk to the cafe. It was fairly busy. There was absolutely nothing on the menu which appealed to any of us. Not even a simple sandwich - just pita, brioche rolls and ciabatta. However, you could not choose and had to have what came with them. Several fillings we had never heard of. Eventually ordered 3 ciabattas with sausage and brie and 1 pitta with chicken. We sat outside in the sunshine but unfortunately were surrounded with dogs- 15 I counted at one point! Although all the dogs were on leads, the leads were so long that some of the (irresponsible) owners were completely oblivious as to what their dogs were up to-one jumping up a table trying to grab food from a young boy; another under the table chewing somebody's sandals! Our food had still not arrived after 45 minutes which meant another trip to the parking machine and back to the car! £2 to park. How long does it take to make 4 'sandwiches'?! Food eventually arrived but none of us enjoyed it as all the 'hot sandwiches' were lukewarm and all 4 plates were half full with gritty rocket leaves. Nearly £50 in total. Such a waste of money. The whole place looked scruffy and dirty and the unisex toilets were disgusting. Staff were neither friendly nor helpful. We will never go back.

So when I ordered my breakfast sandwich I asked if you had gluten-free bread - you checked with the kitchen and they did!! (good start)…. but then you should always ask the person ordering if they are coeliac‘s (because in my experience many people don’t mention it, and they should) So I then reassured you that I’m not coeliac but just very sensitive to wheat and other glutens. You then brought my Sandwich to me and my family. Halfway through the meal I started getting a bellyache and as I cut into the sausage I realise it had little grains in it (I can generally tell it a mile away! So that’s two days are feeling iffy for me now! I then checked with a different person at the counter and she confirmed that the sausages are not gluten-free. I wish I had asked for obviously I’m trusting that you guys know what you’re doing! (if I ask for gluten-free bread you really should endeavour to make sure the meal is gluten-free! If I was coeliac’s you could’ve been in serious trouble (as well as me!!) And I hate to say it but the (pre-cooked), breakfast was incredibly dry - and you didn’t give me any butter for the bread (I had to ask for it just to ‘wet it up a bit’ FYI dairy and gluten are not the same thing - IF that’s why you held back on the butter?! Seriously now - in these days of Natashas law and the recent case of a lady almost dying (if not dying?), from a dairy intolerance you really do need to train your staff to get a little bit more knowledgeable about this kind of thing - and the more I eat out, the more strongly I’m beginning to feel about this it’s simply not acceptable So many restaurants and Cafes are completely uneducated and it is winding me up! It is also the law! Cxxx

Always stop here pre or post dog walking thro the Estate. Lovely grub and good service. Probably the best coffee in Devon!

Good place to eat after visiting the gardens. I chose to have the salads option where you could pick a choice of 5 which you could see in the chiller display. Very tasty and filling. Good service.

Shame really poor meal for lunch, coffee cold, salads not great, slab of cold uncooked tofu and very greasy filo pastry with butternut squash . Dissatisfied, waste of money, shame as last time food was good.

Good coffee but a bit small. Service quite slow and really would be preferable to have china cups rather than create further waste with paper cups, especially when sitting at the venue.

We always receive the friendliest welcome at this beautiful cafe and great meeting place at the centre of the Dartington Estate. My current favourite, americano coffee with hot milk on the side and a chocolate cup cake. Mmm, already planning my next walk to Dartington : )

Fabulous strategy to welcome clients outdoors on the patio and green grass spaces for a calm and delicious refreshing experience. Healthy delicious savoury salads; cold drinks, hot drinks, fabulous coffee and cakes. All good thank you.

Beautiful weather in a beautiful setting, it was all going well. Met up with eight friends for brunch at 11 am, lovely array of cakes but we wanted a cooked breakfast on a sunday morning, to set us up for our walk. Unfortunately they don't do breakfast! What a missed opportunity. Instead we were offered hot or cold sandwiches. I opted for the vegetarian; mozzarella, pesto & tomato ( I'm not a meat eater) & had to beg for it to be toasted!! Two of us opted for this but only one materialised hot!The wasps were in abundance which was quite tricky & stressful for some, to eat without eating a wasp. I know this can be a hazard, especially this time of year, whilst eating out doors. But a gentle hint to the staff; maybe put little bowls of sugared water on each table to attract the wasps away form the paying guests. It could make all the difference to the customer experience.Overall, an underwhelming experience, shame :-(

Very good healthy cafe/restaurant in the beautiful grounds of Dartington Hall. There is a very good choice of savoury and sweet dishes: excellent both for coffee time or meal time. The cafe has plenty of space indoor and outdoors. The ambience is clean and welcoming and it has that arty feeling you would expect in Dartington. The food is freshly prepared using healthy ingredients as much as possible still being very tasty! I would recommend it and if you have time you must allow time to visit Dartington Hall beautiful grounds with its gardens and woods. Excellent place for anyone and any age.

We've been twice this week and absolutely LOVED everything. Delicious salads with pungent flavours, amazing tofu bahn mi, good children's options, super cakes including legendary cardamom bun. Bit of a queue but the food arrived promptly once we'd ordered and there are just about enough tables to eat at, though not all of them sheltered from the rain (but this is only a takeaway operation officially at the moment). If you have any reason to pass by this way and need a really good cafe lunch, this is it.

We went to the concert last night outside the White Hart at Dartington. Sadly, the concert itself was rained off but the Green Table team were serving food, which we greatly enjoyed. We have eaten several times at the Green Table and never been disappointed. It's our sort of food---heavily vegetarian, with flavoursome produce and wonderfully tasty. And, no doubt, healthy. We will be back.

Nothing to do with the Green Table (as I have always enjoyed their offerings) but in order to partake in their goods you have to pay in the car park. On 25.6.20 (still in Covid-mode) on meeting a friend for a walk & lunch @ Green Table discovered from guy in front of me that pay & display machine did not distribute ticket. Card payment only no coins accepted. So in the bright sunshine I put in reg, chose 2 hrs & waved my card at machine- no ticket - but as the guy in front of me had confirmed...I duly got on. I left on my elected 2hr stay. 6.7.20 received £30 fine for non-payment??!!! BEWARE- the fact that this establishment saw fit to charge people still during lockdown so as to exercise and enjoy the estate -AND bring in revenue to their Cafe in these dire times is quite shocking! And then get a fine due to their machines not working....???!!!! Dare I say - typical Totnes never again

Coffee was lukewarm, not very enjoyable. Lovely setting though. Perhaps staff can trial the produce they sell so they dont get it so wrong!?

If you're walking around Dartington Hall Gardens, your best bet for a lunch or a snack is The Green Table, a very busy café serving wholesome and tasty food.Staff were enthusiastic and will serve you anything from cakes to soup to a full meal at standard, not inflated prices.If the weather is good, you can eat outside and avoid the general hubbub inside because everyone seems to find this place a great place to meet up with friends.

A great asset on the wonderful Dartington Estate. We'd walked around the 'recovered' Deer Park - plenty of other scenic wandering choices are available right here, on the Estate - & we then wanted something flexible, with varied dietary choices, quick service, sensible prices, well cooked & presented. The Green Table ticked every box

Saturday lunchtime twixt Christmas and NY. TGT moderately busy with South Hams folk, lot of articulate confident kids and flush oldies but also ample cycles and helmets suggesting a trail close by. Hearty well constructed menu and also loads of cake etc to follow. We had a tasty steak panini sandwich usefully laced with a salsa and mayonnaise spread and also a surprisingly seductive Jerusalem artichoke and potato soup with a perfect spicy touch. We’ll very happily return.

Popped in for a glass of organic wine with a friend after a private view of some lovely ceramics at Studio 45. It felt so inviting, warm, welcoming and festive, we decided to stay longer and have a bite to eat as well as the menu looked too tempting with its exciting flavours and textures. I have to say it was a good decision and the food was delicious! Well done to Tara and her team! We will definitely be revisiting again soon!

An evening meal for our family of 3 adults:Food - excellentService - friendly and efficientNoise level - appallingAll 3 of us have different preferences, so there were 3 different types of main course, and 2 different starters. All were eaten with enthusiasm. It's interesting and creative food almost entirely devoid of the usual gastro pub/Ottolenghi cliches. Largely locally sourced as well, if you're interested in that sort of thing. You get what you pay for, and it's not the cheapest place in town, but worth it. However, if you're planning to eat only the main course you may feel less than full.What spoiled it for me, and the reason I'll think carefully before I come here again in the evening, is the noise level. There's a long food counter (you go there to order at lunch time) and that combined with the general hubbub brought back unexpected memories of works canteens. The noise level means you have to shout to your fellow diners, and makes it difficult to relax and enjoy the excellent food. I don't know what they can do about this (take over the White Hart?). In the summer you could escape outside, but in the winter you're stuck. May be it's me - plenty of other diners were there, and I suppose some must come back again. It's just a shame they can't find a more suitable venue.

I love The Green Table. Nice buzzy atmosphere. Handy for Dartington Hall. We both had the leek, potato and cheese filo triangle with salad and it was delicious.Staff are friendly and service was pretty quick.Actually the salads and cakes all looked fab.However I'm going to deduct axs5ar for the hot chocolate. It wasnt very warm and tasted a bit powdery. But I strongly recommend The Green Table. It's by far an away the best of the three eating experiences at the Hall.It was pouring with with rain do we were indoor but from previous experience- its nice sitting outside when the weather allows.

The food was good, the service was very good. Expensive and small portions but nice flavours. I would come again, but check the menu to make sure you can eat the food. As it is limited and we did struggle to find things we could eat.

I am a very frequent visitor to the Green Table, love the food and the staff are always helpful and happy, however the coffee is definitely not what it used to be. I enjoy a good coffee and originally that's exactly what you got... a flat white with plenty of colour and flavour tasting as coffee should, not an insipid cup (glass) of hot milk!Guess i'll have to head back to The Almond Thief.

We make a habit of having coffee and snack here but this week decided to have breakfast - and were glad we did. Everything is sourced locally and expertly prepared; you can tell the food isn't from a supermarket ! From start to finish the staff were both welcoming and courteous - the service was great and, needless to say, the food was superb. Their coffee is the best I have ever tasted. This will now be a regular dining haunt for us. Everyone should be congratulated for the way in which this delightful and popular place is run.

What a lovely cafe and staff to match.we ordered a light lunch which was vegetarian organic and local plus side of olives everything was so tasty and fresh and even with the wasps just let them be and give them a sweet drink as a decoy. a really joyful place to hang out .

Stopped off here after a family day out with the Dogs walking along the river and Steam train Line (after standing aside for the 10k that was on when we arrived). Family had mixture of very nice looking cakes and Coffee and was as Luscombes drinks. I was bit dissapointed dint have Luscombe Sicilian Lemonade (it's there best one!) but stetted for Luscombe Devon Apple Juice insted which was nice enough. Had shortbread biscuit as well which was just average shortbread biscuit, did the job. lots of Wasps around which is annoying but norm for time of year and not alot can do about it.

I’ve been here multiple times and overall I really like it! Good selection of food for various dietary requirements, lots of nice cakes and good coffee. The decor is cool and it’s in a lovely location. Although, I wouldn’t recommend if you’re in need of a quiet, relaxing lunch as it is almost always incredibly busy which means it is super loud and can have a slightly stressful atmosphere!

This restaurant offers a healthy menu, with lentils, fritatas, salads etc, but is quite restricted for a carnivore like me. I settled on pulled pork with potato salad, which was tasty but I would have preferred more options.

We like this cafe for lunch, great food and coffee. A slight niggle that the tables were not wiped down often enough / between guests - I realise they do get busy. Service was good on the day we visited last week.

This really is an incredible place for the most amazing tasty vegetarian food with amazingly helpful and friendly staff. Don't want to promote it too much as don't want everybody finding out this great place. All food freshly produced and cooked. The chocolate and caramel brownies are heaven sent.

Set in the idyllic surroundings of Dartington .. the Green table offers up fresh food with lots of interesting flavours .. a good selection of breakfasts, lunches , snacks and cakes , vegetarian selection too !! A great decaff which in some places is not too pleasing , (larger cups would be appreciated ) . We find the staff to be friendly making the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming, even your dogs are welcome .. for us a big plus , thank you ! Parking is in surrounding car parks .. by meter . Lots of great walks and a sunny outside seating area ... relax and enjoy !!.

We were visiting Dartington Hall and Estate for the day and enjoyed both morning coffee and afternoon tea here. I have a dairy intolerance and there were plenty of dairy free cake options. I enjoyed the lemon polenta cake. Seating both inside and out and very friendly staff.

We visited the Green Table after meeting friends to walk the dogs on the Dartington estate.

Came here for breakfast before a walk around darting hall. Great range of cakes and pastries . A few breakfast ideas on the menu but not a great choice . Lovely looking salads but to early for lunch. .I’d like to give this cafe a very good but the price was a bit expensive , the uncomfortable chairs and unisex toilet let it down overall. Will try white heart next time as a bit hippy for my taste here.

Came here today with the family. Was pleased that well behaved dogs are welcome because it is a good area for walks. Very popular with the locals, and understandably! Helpful staff and the decor is lovely. Reasonable prices too.

Went with large walking group for lunch. Great selection of salads and healthy mains but also have lovely cakes. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Coffee and wide selection of teas.

This is my above all favourite place to go for lunch. It is consistently welcoming, the food is predictably delicious every time and it’s simply wonderful from the brownies to the steak sandwich (my favourites).

Very busy we we arrived but still a quick service. The food was really good, just a little different for me. The menu was as you would expect for Dartington Hall good quality at a reusable price, most enjoyable.

Pretentious is the first thing that comes to mind when arriving at the Green Tabke. We ordered Chicken Noodle Soup which turned out to be broth with one piece of chicken floating around and absolutely no noodles. The bread was nice.

Cozy cafe with plenty of choice. Staff friendly and service was quick. The spicy vegi soup was good and came with a huge hunk of bread. My husband enjoyed the meatballs and even ate some salad, so it must be good. Cakes looked gorgeous but we were being good.

Have been coming here since it opened and am so happy to see it flourishing! Its a great stop for coffee and cakes before visiting the gardens, then back for a light lunch perhaps! Salads, soups and cakes are all excellent. I haven't ventured into the meaty dishes myself but my son has and he loved it! This café celebrates fresh local ingredients at its best under the instruction of its manager Tara who is both an excellent cook but is also a wonderful personality with such a positive attitude that just rubs off on the whole place.

Love it here, especially as a dog owner. Vibrant, cosmopolitan atmosphere,tasty food. Only improvement is i wish the cakes were covered because as a coeliac i cant eat gluten free cakes that could be contaminated with non gluten free cakes. Love the cocoa and frittata

Imaginative, vegetarian and non veggie food. Great cakes. Lovely staff.

We’ve been coming here as a family since opening and enjoying it but we have become bored and no longer will be visiting as there have been no changes in the offered salads and the coffee has been hit or miss.

We’ve eaten lunch here quite a few times. The veggie food is always good and usually served pretty quickly. If you aren’t into child or dog friendly eating, I would avoid as there always seem to be small kids on scooters and dogs where owners seem unaware that not everyone will be in love with their canine or want them sniffing around while eating.

It is a very wonderful place to go, anytime, from the morning to the afternoon. Good food (vegan option) :) lovely staff.

We visited this cafe recently, on a Friday lunchtime. It was packed, but people quite happy to " tableshare" . Could totally understand why. Had really tasty sandwiches... bruschetta with beetroot/ hazelnuts etc and steak and onion. Both delicious . Followed by the best sticky ginger cake I have ever tasted! The coffee also very good. Friendly staff ,amazing food and nice atmosphere. Shame for us it's so far away.

When I first walked into the Green Table at Dartington Hall at 11.15am on Monday there wasn’t a table to be had. People were everywhere. And it was too cold to sit outside. There was quite a strong cooking smell that came at me as well. Noise, crowds; not my favourite thing. But I was meeting a friend so I asked someone at a big table if I could share and she said yes. I got a fizzy drink and waited. When my friend arrived a few minutes later, we decided to have lunch but it was early. The lunch food wasn’t ready yet. Yet salads were available and could be seen, and looked so homemeade and yummy we were happy to try those; I think it was £1.50 a scoop, and we each had a variety of three different dishes. All tasted fresh and lovely. And there was a good variety of drinks, cakes, breads and snacks, and a real synchronicity about the place re the friendly, helpful staff and how they handle serving so many people during busy times. Kids, dogs, everyone was welcome, and there was a chatty, unconditional acceptance vibe about the place which immediately put us at ease. We’ll definitely return. Afterrwards we explored the gardens which were incredibly beautiful. There’s a tree near the little chapel that’s 1,500-2,000 years old. Dartington Hall is a very unique and special place. And the Green Table is a lively spot to have a drink and something to eat.

How I wish we had a cafe like this near our home town. Lovely friendly staff, delicious food and love the green credentials. We spent a wonderful hour eating,drinking and people watching....thoroughly recommended.

Excellent layout of the cafe. PLenty of outside seating as well as in. There are both small and big tables, so even if you share, the tables are big enough to do in comfort.. or if you really don't want to share, pick a smaller table.

Tired after a long walk and was desperate to sit down with a cuppa and nibble. There was nothing I liked the look of as I am not a vegetarian but my friend had a selection of salad stuff, she also is not a veggie but was starving and didn’t know what anything was so went for safe option. To us nothing looked nice and tasty or yummy or I gotta have that. It was busy and we had to share a table ( we were there first by the way ) with a group of rude, ignorant and selfish people who made us so uncomfortable that my friend left 2 thirds of her food and we left. They took their own space and ours, we couldn’t talk as they we’re bellowing, the man beside me ate like a nethanderal, so before I gagged I suggested to my friend we left. Not for us thank you. We like peace tranquility and comfort. Oh and I need to get out from the table even when ignorant people just sit out far enough to make it difficult for men to exit when it wouldn’t be difficult for them to just pull their chair under the table. Dreadful unless you don’t mind wet dogs shaking their hair everywhere while eating, kids running around everywhere, waiting 15 mins for a piece of bread and butter and having odious people with no manners hemming you against a wall. Oh and massively overpriced.

The Green Table is incredibly popular. We went at the weekend and then on a Tuesday afternoon, when it still seemed as busy. Very friendly service of organic, vegetarian and local food. I like their environmental credentials. Will be back

we have lunch here once a week.can be very busy but staff very experienced and friendly.the homemade soups are generally excellent. perhaps 3.95 for a cup is slightly expensive as is the five salads dish.one main niggle there is a drop off point outside states 15 mins also for deliveries. each time we go there there are cars parked in there that remain there the hour we are there.my wife has a disability pity it appears to be used for free parking.? car park charges are very reasonable.

Everything is spot on here except the organisation. I hadn’t a clue what I was going to eat or how it worked so joined the end of a long (popular) queue. As I neared the food there were a couple of small paper signs saying to choose the 5 salads or fewer and to write them down if I wished. Ok, salads were fine, I’d have those! I tried to remember them but once I was top of the queue I could not see the salads and the paper and pencils and menus were by the checkout so way too late to write down. I had to move back to see what I wanted, which must have been irritating for those behind me.

Tasty range of good food at Green table and plenty of out door seating in view of bus stop too .. pleasant service abc WiFi

This was probably the highlight of our visit to Dartington estate.
