A super burger restaurant just off the main road in Dartmouth. A relatively small number of covers...so book....but well worth it. The smash burgers and chicken burger are delicious (family x4 eating), the drinks menu excellent and lovely service from the Yarn team.

Been in Devon for a week and this has been my favourite place for breakfast. Loved the food.

Nice little place, but emphasis on the little. It's also very popular so you'll be lucky to get a table unless you book in advance. On the plus side, the food isn't too expensive (as far as Dartmouth goes) and is good - some interesting stuff on the menu you won't find in most cafés. Servers/owners are all really nice and friendly and good vibes in general. Also looks like a nice place for a beer in the evening but I can't speak to that personally.

We were so impressed with Yarn- having previously popped in the just drinks, we ate this time round and thought the food was fantastic! Lovely local beers and great service!

We were looking for a place serving brunch and stumbled across Yarn , it had that quirky look about it that I love and we decided to give it a go , have too say the food was excellent I had the Eggs Benedict with a very generous side serving of black pudding, bacon and sausage ( I was hungry lol ) the flavours were so good, we had a bit of fun naming as many of the countries flags they had on the ceiling and the young man serving us was helpful with his knowledge, can’t recommend this place enough well with a visit

Great burgers in a relaxed diner setting. Was here last year and both the service and the burgers are so much improved...fab, in fact!!! Would highly recommend We willill be back for sure.....

Managed to get a table at a late request, rushed around the corner to Yarn & it was very welcoming & friendly, with the owner spending a lot of time with us, talking us through the menu, at our request. Chef put himself out also, regards one dish that we fancied & we then enjoyed the best burgers either of us have ever had! Truly unique tastes & much more than just a burger. A great business that we can't recommend enough & can't wait to visit again on our return to Dartmouth later this year / next year.

One of the best burgers we've ever had. Really good food, really good service, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. We'll definitely be going back for brunch. Edit: We did go back for brunch and it was fantastic!

My family and I had the most delicious burgers and fries as a takeaway order from Yarn whilst staying in Dartmouth. Excellent service and freshly cooked food. We look forward to the next visit and would thoroughly recommend a visit.

S this place is very small which is not a bad thing but the guy who served us forgot part of our order and also the cook stops dead on 8pm which is way too early for this type of place, While we was there we saw him turn away 2 paying customers at 8:05 with the cook saying to the customers "you should of got here earlier" The burger was ok but when I bit into it burning hot fat came spraying out with is not what I wanted when it burnt my finger, The creamed cob is very nice and the chip portion is very good just way over priced for what it is.

Fantastic little place for brunch, Simon was very welcoming and polite, the restaurant is cosy but very charming. They have a good selection of brunch options, alot more variety than most places. The food was delivered fast and was very tasty, perfectly hooked eggs, crispy hash and all really well seasoned, the coffee is also extremely nice and they offer vegan milk alternatives. Would recommend booking though as we got the last available table!

If you love beer and burgers this is the venue for you! It is very small but incredibly friendly staff, great choice of beer (best I found in Dartmouth) and my chicken burger from the specials was excellent - nice to have some burger combos that are a bit different.

Brilliant service, great atmosphere, lovely food and all at a very reasonable price. We have already booked for our next visit to avoid disappointment as the restaurant is pretty small. We are located in Torbay and often visit Dartmouth to eat, this should definitely on the top of your list if a burger is your bag. It’s one of those places you don’t want to tell people about but it would be rude not too. Ohhh they make homemade rum too ask if they can do you a little rum flight we had a dabble and it was great. Thanks everyone looking forward to seeing on Dartmouth regatta weekend.

Fantastic, great and fast service.. food looked and taste great.. kids loved it and didn’t leave any, Wasn’t disappointed and will definitely go again as well as recommend to friends.. price is good as you get large portions..

The food was really tasty, but it all seemed a little disorganised. My daughter has a milk allergy so we could only order toast with jam as they didn’t have and spread, then they ran out of milk for our coffees and we still ended up being sent toast with butter on. The rest of our breakfasts were lovely and it was a really cute little place but those bits let it down.

Overpriced and bland, wouldn't bother to go back, service was ok but the people not working there having conversations with the kitchen staff while we are waiting for our meal does not fill you with confidence! They are failing to meet there goals stated on their website by a long way !

This is a fantastic place! It is small but has a good atmosphere. The food is totally amazing! The communication from the owner is great and all the staff were kind, helpful and friendly. As a vegan with one vegan child & one vegetarian both of whom are extremely picky eaters and have various neurological divergences that mean noise can be an issue, I can say that we all had a wonderful meal and a comfortable experience here!

Absolutely fantastic experience at Yarn Dartmouth. We went online in advance to book our table and had no issues, we were then warmly greeted by I presume the owner and shown to our table. My wife and I had eggs benedict and we ordered the jam on toast for our three year old, the food came out promptly and was delicious. Cosy atmosphere and highly recommend.

We were in Dartmouth for 3 nights and had breakfast at Yarn everyday. The food was exquisite, it will be hard to find another establishment that can come close. We also ate there one evening and again the food was delicious. Then you have the tremendous atmosphere and amazing staff, especially Simon the host. If you are in Dartmouth this is a must eat place.

Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and amazing burgers! We need your hash recipe! I'd definitely recommend a visit to Yarn, and we'll return next time we are in Devon.

A couple from Leicestershire in their 60s, we had no idea what to expect. We arrived as a large-ish group of maybe 14 from the Naval College were finishing off, paying up and leaving. So, we were the only ones left behind....BUT.... we had a wonderful evening. Cliff (I think that was his name) served us well. Friendly but not intrusive. The burgers were fantastic; beer and wine was really good too. I thoroughly appreciated the Chef's funky playlist. Highly recommend this small, precious, quirky gem in fabulous Dartmouth.

I have been visiting Dartmouth all my life (40 years now!) this was our 1st time coming with friends and not family so I was keen to impress them with days out and food etc We emailed ahead and booked a table as it was regatta week and there was 14 of us! Yarn was so accommodating as we basically took up the whole restaurant! Our whole experience was great from start to finish with nothing being too much trouble! All the children were served 1st which was brilliant for us. The burgers were amazing, as were the salty chips!! We then returned for breakfast before our long drive home and once again we were all over the moon with the service and food! All round fantastic little place, great value for money, great food and great service with a smile! Everyone was impressed and we will definitely be returning next year! Amy and friends

Small (19 covers only), but delivers outstanding burgers. We had a double classic, the blue one, and coleslaw from deli across the street, and fries with bone marrow gravy. Burgers were made to order and required minimal chew (always a good sign). Good selection of local beers and ciders, had the Hunts Raspberry cider, very refreshing. Worth booking or waiting for a table. Staff very friendly too.

It will set your expectations for other burgers too high after you eat this burger!

Terrific spot. A friend and I popped in for a late breakfast while walking the SW Coast path. Two of the most generous cups of coffee I've ever had. Was buzzing afterwards and not bad value considering this is South Devon. My friend had the Eggs Benedict, and while the portion size was not equal to the coffees, it looked absolutely delicious and was reportedly so. I particularly liked the decor as well which I can only describe as being very Aussie.

Went for brunch at 9:30 am. The hash was really great and a flavour I've not had before! Don't come here for a usual English breakfast experience, but do come if you're feeling like trying something different. The breakfast burger was delicious as well. Eggs for burger and hash were cooking perfectly. The place isn't massive so do book ahead if you hope to get a seat at peak times.

What an atmosphere, the food was incredible and selection of beer was off the scale!

The most delicious breakfast we’ve had in Devon! I had the creamed corn & it was so tasty - can honestly say I’ve not had a breakfast like it! The hash is fantastic too! Coffee is top notch. We will definitely return when we are next in Dartmouth! Thanks guys :)

You have probably never had a burger this good. The staff are great, the quality of the ingredients is exceptional, the different topping options are well thought out and there is a nice selection of side dishes. They even converted my daughter who was previously adamant that she was "not a burger fan". The owners clearly care about this place and the experience that their customers have. I liked it😍 quality patties done well, a rarity. Some places claim to do good burgers but just over bun it by hiding the burger within bacon, onion rings and large buns etc. Small but very friendly, don't let this put you off. Initially we were a bit taken a back by people drinking outside and it looking like a local boozer, trust me we are from Warrington so used to this 😂 but we had a young children with us, so wanted a family friendly environment. No need to worry, all staff and punters veryfriendly and we had a nice meal in pleasant surroundings. Thank you Yam, see you next year😍👍

Been here a few times and the burgers are fantastic. Try the Yankee burger, sounds a bit odd but is really good. Good burgers and great staff.

If you’re in Dartmouth, you’ve got to pop in here. Great place to grab a bite, owners are friendly and welcoming, happy to share their local knowledge for the best spots, and keen to make sure your drinks and meal are as you want them.

We were asked to preorder breakfast due to it being busy , which was fine and worked well . The chap that made our drinks was friendly and the food was fairly good . They couldn’t cater for gluten free which was a shame , and the member of staff that told us this didn’t offer an alternative, just asked if she wanted poached eggs on their own . Which clearly she didn’t 😆. I don’t think they really wanted to be there ! We enjoyed our breakfast and the cafe itself was really quirky and clean .

Lovely place to have a meal quite small and a tad expensive but I've got too say well worth a visit.

At very short notices, in peak holiday season five of us were able to squeeze in and be treated to great burgers and beers. Very good veggie/vegan selection in a town which offers very little for this type of food. Highly recommend. Bar staff were amazing.

Another great meal here! Under new ownership but still great burgers. Two vegan options, a classic and a chicken burger washed down with rose and a verdant EPA. Top class!

Nice staff and a good order turn around. The burger I had was absolutely huge with a hash, unions, bacon and a fried egg. Although it is worth remembering they don't come with chips so they need ordering separately. In saying that the chicken salt I added to mine was really nice.

Was our favourite meal, from start to finish the guys made us feel welcome the burgers are ridiculous and what a lovely little space will definitely be back. Guy behind the bar was brilliant and the chef was amazing even bring out some little tasters 🙌

Visit was more out of necessity as we hadn't booked anywhere ahead and nearly every place we visited was fully booked...should have known better. Found this by chance and saw they had a table and burger menu. Decent choice and burgers were all enjoyable even if I prefer my patty a little more medium than well done. Certainly don't get shortchanged on the fries.

Lovely staff, very helpful. Food was amazing and very cheap. Bartender was happy to make any cocktails we asked for that they had the ingredients for. A great little hole in the wall feel to it. 100% will be visiting again. Prebooking is essential to avoid disappointment!

If you like beer and burgers this is the place for you. A great selection of craft beers that are constantly being changed. The food is fantastic even for Vegans and vegetarians. A must visit but I recommend booking in advance as the place is not huge.

Not the largest portions and an odd pricing strategy (if you want an egg on a sandwich its 50p but on toast, it's £1..) but great food and a quirky feel. Worth a visit.

We ate here two days on the trot for breakfast ( after trying to get in on our first day and finding it full so booked for the next day)Day one was the hash which was tremendous, and day two was the homemade beans which was massive and very delicious.Food arrived quickly, the waitress was lovely and welcoming and the atmosphere is casual, relaxed and really welcoming. I recommend ( but you will probably need to book)

Popped in on Sunday late morning and received a really warm welcome. Haven't been to Yarn for a while due to C19. We weren't disappointed, menu has expanded since our last visit and looked great. We had a fantastic brunch - tasted amazing! Freya did a brilliant job in looking after us and we will definitely be back. The iced latte was a hit on a very hot day too!

A family member booked this restaurant for a special family occasion 3 days ago only to turn up this evening and be refused the table as the staff member said we have double booked you.For a highly rated restaurant (which is why we choose these restaurants in the first place) it is totally unacceptable for this to happen, especially with all the COVID restrictions currently in place. To add to the misery of the situation there wasn’t any contact made to advise of there mistake or help to find a substitute restaurant at this time of the evening.Having family members in this industry we understand how difficult it has been over recent months but that doesn’t give them any excuses for the dreadful performance witnessed this evening.Book at your peril and then hope you won’t be let down.

Small and friendly. One of only two places i found to have a couple of craft style beer with the other being the hotel we stayed, the Royal Castle who recommended the Yarn to me.I ended up having one of their burgers with chilli fries. It was delicious! I will be back next time I'm in Dartmouth.

We are a family of 4 and booked at Yarn for tea and the food we had was great. Burgers are great quality and the prices are decent as well.They have a good choice of burgers with interesting combos and fries with toppings.Decent beer and wine as well.

100% the best burger I have ever had! Perfectly cooked and on a very tasty toasted brioche bun. Couldn’t fault it in any way. Service was quick and friendly too. Highly reccomended!
