Pizza Pirates in South Hams

We hired Pizza Pirates to cater the evening meal at our wedding two weeks ago and they couldn't have done a better job! First off their pizzas are just amazingly delicious and we received compliments from so many of our friends and family including very foodie Italians! Incredible dough and great range of toppings. They even made super tasty custom Indian inspired pizzas which we requested. The service was so efficient, we chatted to them as they arrived but they got set up without fuss leaving us to enjoy our special day. The whole team we've met since enquiring many months ago have all been such a pleasure to deal with and the icing on the cake is the profits they make support the hugely important work they do at Resilient Lives CIC. Absolutely love these guys and couldn't recommend them enough.

Simon and the team at Pizza Pirates catered for a get-together of our guests the night before our wedding. Their sourdough pizzas are truly delicious and everyone said they couldn't resist going back for more, long after we should have been full! The Pirates offer a mixture of classic flavours and some more unusual ones - we especially loved the "Sail the High Cheese" (three cheese, garlic, and pickled pink onions) and "Pieces of Eight" (pepperoni and hot honey)! There were also great gluten free and vegan options to cater to dietary requirements for a few of our guests. The team are really lovely and it was a pleasure to have them be a part of our wedding celebrations!

Simon and his crew came to provide pizzas for a private party for 50 people - all allergies catered for and delicious pizzas on demand - amazing flavours and really really nice guys! The ham hock and pineapple salsa was just divine. Must find an excuse for another party! Thank you Pizza Pirates!

I did want to try this place, I've tried on three occasions, but no one responds to pre-order messages. Having customers send messages via fb/insta or txt instead of simply answering the phone is clearly a hit and miss approach to ordering and customer service. From a customers perspective waiting around for over 15 mins for a response and not getting one is off putting to say the least. I'm disabled so rely on pre-ordering. If it had happened once they could be forgiven but three times is beyond ridiculous.

Amazing pizza, the dough is special and you can taste and feel the quality of the ingredients. It is a gem in Totnes.

Best pizza in Totnes! They ferment their own dough unlike room 101 who have their pizza bases ordered in already made.

We enjoyed Pizza Pirates recently and returned for the second time today. However, the dough was very raw and the oven was clearly not hot enough. It was left to two younger staff members with obviously less experience. It’s a shame to have a business resting on their laurels like this. Very poor and unclear engagement online as well. It was too expensive to be delivering such poor quality. What a shame!

Hands down the best pizza to be had in Totnes. Super lovely crew too!

This was a food highlight of our holiday! The next time we're in the area this is definitely a place we'd like to eat at again.

Their sourdough pizza bases are baked in an on-site pizza oven are absolutely gorgeous. They also do some interesting and very tasty toppings. When the toppings hit the spot, this is the best pizza I've had, including any in Italy or the US

Absolutely fantastic pizzas. We had the special: goats cheese beetroot and walnuts, soooo good. The kids loved their pepperoni and honey pizza and said it was the best they have ever tasted 👍😍

The best wood fired sourdough base pizzas . Great range of toppings. The most lovely friendly people . Freshly made to order or on the spot . We wouldn’t go anywhere else now.

Just had a couple of cracking pizzas from the pirates. Highly recommended.

This pizza is AMAZING, chewy, light dough, full of flavour and straight out of the wood fired oven with the option to drizzle over chilli or garlic oil. YUM!

5 Stars! Seriously the best pizzas, not just in Totnes, but I can't think of having a better one. The dough is just the best and they are so fresh, with the tastiest tomato sauce. Highly recommend!

Wood fired, sour dough pizzas, awesome staff and delicious menu. What’s not to love!! It’s gotta be the pepperoni and hot honey for me 😋
