Went here with my other half for her birthday meal. This has the best curry goat and jerk wings I've had outside of Jamaica and home. This is no exaggeration don't just take my word for it though go here for yourself. The owner is a very nice and hospitable guy too who always had a smile on his face. I feel sorry for people who go to Turtle Bay with no Idea that this amazing and authentic place is just up the road.

Visited Bournemouth last month and another guest at the hotel we stayed in recommended the restaurant. We were definitely not disappointed. Coming from the Caribbean ourselves it’s always important that a Caribbean restaurant has real authentic flavours and Yeah Man has it spot on! The staff are friendly, the venue is child friendly and reasonably priced and portions are generous. We visited again yesterday and once again had the same experience. Will definitely be back!

Myself and my partner passed this restaurant/Bar on the way to booking into our hotel and I fell in love with the place as soon as I set my eyes on it and said we must try this and so pleased we did. Fantastic Host, South London Boy, had a lot to chat about days gone by, great staff, waitress and chef and excellent food, atmoshphere and music and would highly recommend it to all seeking a true caribbean shack experience and forget your in England for a few hours, yeahman you are in the Caribbean. Many thanks to all who made this a memorable night and we will definately be returning on our next visit to Bournemouth. 5 stars to this tardis on a road Island, that will surprise you how big the inside is once you take the first curiosity step inside the door.

Went to this restaurant with my husband last Saturday. Delicious food cannot fault the flavour very authentic just like Food we have at home with family. I just wish Mac and Cheese was on the menu!! The decor was lovely just like a shack style. Whole restaurant was just plain cute with an outdoor area that can be used. Hosts are very polite, welcoming warm and acknowledged issues with the service and were apologetic. Which is very encouraging however ........ Our sides came much later than the main meal ....others were in the restaurant before we arrived and annoyed that their food was taking too long (and were a bit envious that our food had come before theirs which was awkward for us) on the plus side every item was in stock in menu Not sure what are the reasons for these issues could be that better organisation is needed in the kitchen ( including technology to assist with planning) or better communication between kitchen and front of house but they do need to be addressed to ensure a good and consistent experience and boost the review scores. I would go back if I was in town 100 per cent and therefore want the restaurant to be a sucess but just hope these issues are addressed so that the experience speed/timing is a bit better.

I was there on 25th July. Just as the restaurant was about to close, I went there. I ask the gentleman who was sweeping the floor, are they closing? He said yes, however he invited me to come in. I thought, it was nice of him, and I will dine in. I asked him what time they close? He said, 10.00pm, checked the time and it was 10.00 pm. I sat, and he said they are closing and will do a take away. And I say fine, I will take away. It was Jerk Chicken with rice. I did tell him I will write a review on the food and I do have Jamaican friends. I asked him how much the bill was, as I took a 10.00 pound out. He said that was enough and I asked him for the bill. I did not get one. Been polite I left. The food was the last leftover of the night and it was terrible. It is a great insult for the Jamaican Jerk chicken and rice. I feel I should not even give the one star. I will give the 10.00 pound as a charity to him. I will not ever step into a Jamaican Restaurant.

We popped in for a quick bite of early lunch on Saturday and we were warmly welcomed. We both had a wrap, one chicken and one halloumi and they were perfect. The side order of sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had! Although I spotted the potato waffles going past and had a bit of plate envy. I could only eat half of my wrap and a take-away bag was offered without me having to ask. We will definitely be back. Friendly, great food and great value - what more could you want?

This little place is in a sort of traffic island between three roads on Poole Hill, close to The Triangle centre in Bournemouth. OK, so some people point out that the space was once occupied by public loos, but that was years ago and this little restaurant is a great venue for a super meal. Its done up in sort of a Caribbean version of a Roadhouse and the first thing that hits you is the lovely smell of wood from the real wood fire they use to cook the Jerk Chicken.

Walking inside this little restaurant was like walking into a different world, a chilled Caribbean style atmosphere with décor to match. The menu had a good selection of dishes including goat curry, rice and beans, avocado salad etc. We plumped for the chicken curry which was cooked exactly the way we requested, not too spicy and very tender chicken, the plantain was excellent. Yes, we will definitely return, good food, good price and a pleasant atmosphere.

Went with a friend for some lunch, the service was pretty poor. Sauce was rather bland with the jerk chicken, also chicken was very tough, I struggled with my knife, couldn’t tell if it was bone or flesh. Maybe reheated or poor food handling. I don't like writing negative reviews but have to on this occasion. The first disappointment came when we were told they were out of salt fish and goat. I see from other reviews this has happened, but to not have Caribbean signature dishes at 8pm on a Saturday is not gd. I also see there are quite a few gd reviews on here which surprised me as what we did get was not gd Caribbean food. My main was just non-descript. It was supposed to have Scotch bonnet sauce but there was no kick to it. There was little flavour to the rice - no fresh herbs, probably over-microwaved. The veg patty was mostly dough and flavourless (they'd run out of meat patties). Other negatives wd be the temperature (too cold for me and another in our party had to put his coat on) and the fact that there was a weekend special menu which we weren't told about but discovered after we'd ordered - I'd"ve ordered the pork loin if we'd been told about it. On the positive side, it was inexpensive, the waitress was friendly and the coleslaw was nice. The Grill Shack in Southbourne is a lot better. I don't think I'll come back here.

Wonderful Caribbean food. I had the curried chicken, despite being really interested in the goat, because goat is occasionally stringy and tough, and I just wasn't up for challenging food at that particular moment. The curried chicken was delicious; spicy, rich, really interesting flavors. My wife, however, went for the goat, and after I tasted it I wished I'd ordered it, because it was excellent. Not tough at all; cooked to perfection. These people really know how to cook. Good prices, too.

We really enjoyed our food, jerk chicken with gravy was delicious as were all the sides including plantain, avocado salad and home made slaw too. Service was fast and friendly, and the surroundings made us feel like we were on holiday... in Jamaica? No Iceland! It was so cold I didn’t take my warm coat off, my friends did and they were shivering. We gave up after our food and went across the road for coffee to warm up! Such a shame. I will return but not until the weather is warmer - or they invest in some heaters.

Popped in during my lunch hour for what I hoped would be a quick and delicious lunch. Only one other customer and 3 delivroo type men standing around, more than 6 more deliveroo types came in during our visit. Ordered salt fish and ackee and a jerk chicken leg with rice n peas as well as sweet potato fries and some plantain. Firstly, my main grievance is that it took 40 minutes to arrive. I had just a few minutes to eat before having to walk back to work. With one other customer sitting down, I can only assume that the chef cooked all 10 deliveroo order before ours.

Food: I'm an African girl working away from home and living in a hotel for 6 weeks, so I was craving some Afro/Caribbean spice and thought I'd check this place out. I was delighted to see the seabass on the menu stuffed with familiar ingredients; garlic, scotch bonnet, thyme, peppers, spinach and scallion. My food arrived and I was surprised to find that those lovely ingredients were replaced by underdone carrots, sliced onions and kale (only). The fish was tasteless, even to the extent of lacking salt.
