Found this take away by chance when staying down the road in one of the hotels. Met the owner who was such a friendly chatty lady who obviously loves what she does. I ordered a huge selection of treats and it was absolutely amazing! Curry goat was so tasty and authentic,jerk chicken was great. Dumplings were the best ever and I was talked into getting the Saturday soup which was a meal in a pot! Couldn't fault this meal at all and will drive down to torquay just for another meal! Please try and support thos amazing lady.

Great carribean food, really tasty vegan meal available, dumplings were also very scrumptious. Everything was going well until we received our dips, hot sauce = great, mayo = great, bbq sauce = one of the worst, strangest things ive ever tasted, it tasted of alcohol! Avoid Otherwise a very good meal

Ordered a takeaway as was staying at nearby hotel. Apart from it taking over an hour, the food was delicious home cooked, hot and fresh I had chicken soup with side of festivals and plantain yum yum my husband had the stew red peas with rice and peas and hard food it was all super tasty will defo get again it down this way. Oh and jerk gravy was to die for!!

La comida era estupenda y la disfrutamos mucho. La bienvenida no fue estupenda y la camarera era muy distante, ya que en ese momento solo había una fiesta aparte en el restaurante. Sólo una bienvenida por ejemplo. '¡Hola! no será un minuto "no habría salido mal. También la camarera me trajo la cuenta después de limpiar nuestra mesa, y habría pedido un café y un postre (era el día de San Valentín, ¡así que estaba fuera!). ¡Vergüenza! Pero no dejes que el servicio te desanime la buena comida y los buenos precios. ¡Yo regresaría de nuevo!

The food was amazing. There were 9 of us all with different orders and everyone was happy. The only disappointment was the service. The staff weren't very attentive. We had to ask for things like more drinks. Wipes after prawns etc. Although the staff were pleasant there was just a lack of good service. We would definitely return due to the quality of the food.

MAY 2025 UPDATE! I came back! The menu has been updated since my last visit by fear not I've tasted the Chicken Wings and they are still AMAZING! I also tried the Chicken Parm, and that was delicious! The staff are still so amazing and friendly with one lovely Gent even remembering me 🥰 I will definitely be back during this visit and more in the future 🥰 if I could give more than 5 Stars I would! I had to come back for more and must say that as fabulous as the food is (honestly best chicken wings I've ever had), the staff are better! So friendly and kind, The Walkabout give you the feeling of a community, it's open, friendly and amazing views! I'll be back again the next time I come to Newquay

Lovely place to sit and relax, it really made my sunday

I can remember camping nearby with family and going to the Tredrea since the seventies. The area has remained amazingly unspoiled after fifty years, but even here change is inevitable. The Tredrea has closed and will be missed by us, good memories of having a pint with that wonderful view. I hope the area continues to change as slowly over the next fifty years to preserve this magic areabas long as possible.

Simply amazing worth travelling to

Service was good, the barman was friendly and smiled. The food was horrible, I couldn't cut my chicken or chew it as it was as tough as rope , coleslaw was warm and bbq sauce was watery. The only good thing about this place was the Tesco Express next door , that was a Godsend . I ate the chips as they were hot .

Where can I start? The food? Was absolutely Horrible, horrible, This place is just a complete waste of time and money do not go there if you do go here, you’re going to get salmonella 🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢
