I have eaten from here in the past and it has been good. Unfortunately, not enough care is taken to remove the bones from the chicken for the jerk wraps. The mishap resulted in a dental problem for me; a painful tooth from unassumingly biting into the wrap and hitting bone. I would probably have forgone leaving a negative review (things like this can happen) but it has been some weeks since the incident and I am still experiencing pain. Message for the owner: please take more care with the removal of bones.

Just visited and unfortunately had to throw most of it away. I did ask what was the most spiciest dish as I know Caribbean food can be famous for their highly flavoured and spicy dishes, so she recommend the jerk chicken and asked for her to choose the extras. This did fall short by quite some way. The chicken looked like it had a lot of flavour but it was distinctly lacking. The rice was quite tasteless as well although smelt amazing. The gravy that was put over the rice resembled and tasted like bisto, not sure it was supposed to but it did round off the dish being quite bland. Saying all this, the tomatoes in the salsa was some of the tastiest I have had this year. I will try it again as I know it has good reviews and I’m hoping it was just an off day.

Wandering round St Nicholas Market. So many good options. You see the happy faces outside Carribean Wrap, it smells amazing. There are pictures of Terry Wogan and Levi Roots enjoying their food inside. Good guys who know a thing or two about banging food. We had the Curry Goat Wrap and the Chicken Jerk Wrap. Both were superb, fresh, tasty, homemade. They took time to make like they should. I don't want to exaggerate but imagine going round to someone's house who wants to impress you and then feed you. Superb, I want to try more.

Best jerk chicken wraps in the whole of Bristol, probably the whole UK. Super tasty and fresh, would live off them if I could!

BEWARE - FOOD POISONING I would strongly recommend you do not go here. I ordered the jerk chicken, rice and salad. Within 36 hours I am suffering from severe food poisoning. Most likely the salad is not cleaned and/or the chicken is not fully cooked. You should definitely avoid this establishment, especially as much tastier and safer places are located nearby.

Second visit to Caribbean Wrap and once again it was great. Curry goat was delicious and there was plenty of it! The price is also very reasonable too.

Maybe I caught them on a bad day but worse Caribbean food ever. I left most of it and that's not like me. Don't think they taste there own food or put much love in it. Best thing was the can of juice I got.

Visited on Saturday lunchtime in the hope of getting some authentic carribean food. What a mistake! I ordered the veggie wrap which when i opened it it was cold and completely fell apart in my hand. No flavour at all, and I left most of it. Never tasted such bland food in all my life! My partner had the vegan jerk soya with rice and peas and he left most of his too. When he enquired what the soya was the girl presented him with a box of frys soya chunks which you buy in the frozen section in tesco! Unbelievable!

If you are visiting Bristol, this place is a MUST. Forget the usual fast food rubbish and tuck into some authentic Caribbean food. Served by a beautiful, smiley Caribbean lady, the food was hot, tasty and fast. We had the curry goat, rice and peas and callaloo with okra. We took it away in a plastic box, but there are tables where you can eat. The portion size was very good, and we only ordered the small portion which cost £4.95. Great value for money, delicious, highly recommended. Please visit, you will not be disappointed.

The main lady here is so friendly and even when busy you get a smile highly recommended place.

I stopped by Carribean Wrap for the April St Nick's night market and was fortunate that there was no queue. Once I started eating I was also very surprised there was no queue. The goat curry was great, with incredibly tender pieces. It was even fully deboned, which may be the first time I've ever had a goat curry that didn't contain some bone fragment. The rice and peas went fantastically with it as well and the whole thing was very, very good value.

Passed here on my lunch hour and not knowing what I fancied, the smell was very inviting. Queued for a few minutes, but you get served pretty quickly. There's a lot of options so have a good look. I had the chicken wrap it was £4.75. The chicken tasted amazing. It was a bit dry and I picked out some of the fatty skin. There was a lot of salad. The taste was good but for me personally I would have liked more chicken and less salad. I would go back and try something different

A beef curry and a goat curry, both lovely, we had rice and peas, salad and salsa for less than £10. My son says it was one of his favourite curries ever and having stolen a mouthful I agree it was very nice. We'll be back again.

I haven't been there for a while, but I only just noticed there are reviews for the cafe. I used to go on a course at the weekend in Bristol, and I would enjoy stopping off in the Caribbean Wrap for lunch. My first experience of Caribbean food and I enjoyed it. Whenever I think about going to Bristol, I always want to stop off there. It's only a small market place with some tables undercover to eat in, but the food is cooked lovely. Good for an enjoyable casual lunch, especially before having a look around the rest of the market or city.

Read about this place so decided to pop in. Service was friendly, food was tasty and good value (jerk chicken, salad and rice and peas for £6.45). I would say that, as I bought a large meal, it would have been nice to get more chicken as it was mainly a large due to more sides, but what i did have was nice and i was full in any case :-)

I love this little place, such tasty Caribbean food, probably my favourite in Bristol. Much better than some of it's big competitors. The lady that served me was a little bit rude, but not enough to stop me returning or recommending to people. Great food!

The food is good but the rudeness from the lady serving was unnecessary, I think she invented the teeth suck. I wondered if this was just me but when I spoke to other people about their experiences they said that they had experienced the same thing. It would be nice if I was not scowled at and basically shouted at when I want to know what a dish is.

One of my new fave lunchtime stop offs. I think I may be addicted to the veggie wrap - I've had it twice this week. It's got the right amount of spice and is filled with yummy goodness, including spinach, lettuce, chickpeas, avocado and butternut squash. Yet to try any of the other dishes, as the wrap is just sooo tasty and a great price too at £4.25.

I was first introduced to the joy of Caribbean Wrap, when working in central Bristol. It very quickly became a regular lunchtime destination, the Jerk Pork special with salad, rice and peas became something of an addiction, perfectly seasoned meat, cooked to perfection and then served across a plateful of the most delicious rice and peas I have ever tasted. There is a wonderful range of dishes with something to suit every taste, with different daily specials, the curry goat has to be tasted to be believed, quite simply the best. The portions are extremely generous, with a small meal priced at £4.75 being more than enough for the average appetite, a large meal will set you back less than £7 and will satisfy the even the most hungry. The selection of vegetables are fantastic, the spicy chick peas being a particular favourite of mine. I have never seen the place without even a small queue such is it's popularity, but the service is fast, efficient and very friendly, there is a reasonable amount of seating available which is quite impressive given it's location in the middle of a busy market. Unfortunately I now work away from the centre, but whenever I find myself in the area, I can't help but make a beeline for in my opinion the finest caribbean cuisine available locally. Do yourself a favour and get along there, you will not be disappointed.

Ordered the thing on the menu with the most ingredients I'd never tried before and was impressed with the result. For £4.75 I got a whole avocado, with what I think was beetroot and cucumber soaked in mango juice, which had an amazing fruity flavour (normally I can't stand beetroot), lettuce, tomato, ackee and saltfish (new to me, the ackee had a really interestingly delicate texture, the fish was pleasantly chewy in contrast), callaloo (another new one to me, basically a spicy greens mix, another really tasty combination of flavours) and some lime and sweet chilli to top it off. The lady serving was friendly and efficient, and the place had a decent queue at 2pm on a Saturday, which I usually take as a good sign.

I used to be a student in Bristol, and I always find the measure of a food place is how much you miss it. I miss this place so much! The location is quirky, the ladies who worked there were always so pleasant, always different sauces about the place and of course the food! My favourite was the jerk chicken with beetroot and mango salad stuff. Delicious. Never disappointed.

One of the longest-running establishments in one of the most vibrant and exciting areas for lunchtime dining in Bristol. Service is professional and sharp without feeling hasty or rushed. The menu is built upon staples of a traditional Caribbean fare with plenty of variation to satisfy either the most reserved or quite adventurous of tastes. Both seating and take-away options are available. The dining area is perfectly adequate in size, although prepare ahead and accept that you may have to squeeze into whatever space you can find. Bottles of varying degrees of hot sauce are provided. The jerk chicken wrap with mango sauce and salad was worth a five-star review in itself. The size and quality of the dish was flawless and genuinely one of the most satisfying meals I have had the pleasure of enjoying for quite some time.Prepare ahead for an early lunch as a queue should be expected and menu options may become limited by the late afternoon. Substantial popularity is clearly an indication of a decent establishment.
