The best restaurants serving Other international-cuisines food in East Midlands

Our food was excellent, especially the steak! Staff were very polite and not intrusive. However, the noise levels due to poor acoustics were awful, firstly we had a group of 4 next to us, who were over loud. Then a table for 8 came in and seemed to be shouting the whole time. Interesting another couple who spoke to us on the way out, also mentioned the noise level was high and wouldn’t return.

Tuvimos un sueño maravilloso seguido de un delicioso desayuno. Huevos Benedict royale; los mejores que he probado. Agradecido a todo el personal por hacer nuestra estancia tan agradable.

A wonderful hotel with excellent views and very comfortable bedroom. We had dinner in the gallery restaurant and the tasting menu was exceptional. The wine list was good and the pre-dinner lounge bar was very quaint. Today we had lunch in the garden restaurant with my family. The food was delicious but the experience was marred by poor service which led to the wrong main course being served twice! The response from one waitress was quite rude and dismissive. My comment on this event doesn’t reflect the rest of the stay we were impressed by the hospitality of the staff

We were really looking forward to a fantastic culinary experience having read all of the great reviews. Sadly we were disappointed in many ways. When we arrived the host was a confused as he could not find our booking. We were offered a table upstairs. Upstairs was lacking in atmosphere as not many people up there. It was also a little cold and most importantly the lighting is so bright and also intermittently flickers. The lady host pointed us towards the QR codes on the menus and advised us to order online. This wouldn’t be a problem but the online ordering system is clunky and badly designed. You have to scroll through many pages of sauces etc before you can even find the food offerings. We ordered a variety of dishes to be shared between us so that we could all share and experience the lovely flavours. The app indicated a 40 minute wait. We requested that the drinks could be served asap as we were thirsty. After 25 mins, no drinks so I went downstairs to remind them about the drinks and I noticed some empty tables down stairs and arranged to move away from the flickering lighting. Downstairs was definitely cosier and more atmosphere. After approx an hour total our food started to arrive and we were really ready for it by now. The garlic and chilli prawns are pictured as shell on king prawns came out as rather small and bland prawns not cooked in their shells and were very disappointing for £11.50. The red stripe jerk chicken was definitely the best dish we tried but it was lacking heat. Jerk chicken is normally made with scotch bonnet chilli’s and usually at the top end of the heat scale. This dish was nice but quite bland compared to other Jamaican restaurants. The Jerk fish was mushy and again was not hot enough. All of the dishes were served like warm and everything we tried tasted quite bland. The vibrant colour scheme of the restaurant seemed to emphasise the lack of wow factor in the food. The service was slow and disjointed, our waitress was lovely but very shy and softly spoken. Sadly our evening was a bit of a disaster on every front. Most importantly the ordering system is an absolute shambles and it’s mainly due to a muddled layout. It’s so much better to place your order with a knowledgeable waiter / waitress who can guide you through the menu and make suggestions rather than being directed to use a QR code.

Realmente disfruté de nuestro almuerzo del domingo aquí. Grandes porciones de verduras bien cocidas y solomillo raro. El personal es amable y eficiente. Cómodos asientos y un buen ambiente.

Small menu of well cooked Italian home style food with excellent attentive service from the staff which are well marshalled by Caroline in a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere.

Nice little restaurant, visited with my Grandaughter before a theatre visit. We’ve had a couple of takeaways in the past but this was my visit to the restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was nice although one dish was a little sparse. Would return as it was a pleasant trip.

Light and airey cafe which is a lovely place to enjoy a very good cup of coffee, or two, with excellent service from the friendly staff.

They have relocated, but me being me I typed it into google maps and it still shows they’re at Derngate which they’re not, they have moved to Wellingborough Road next to Sainsbury’s (it does state on their website. I rang them and told them the situation, they were completely understanding. We were greeted by a friendly server, she was casual and professional and made us feel at ease. We had two cocktails and both were espresso martinis and they were spot on. A minor criticism, we were seated by the window which was fine for both of us, but the table was a quite wobbly. But that didn’t ruin our evening together. The menu had so many good choices, they all sounded so appealing and you can tell it’s made with fresh ingredients. We tried 8 of the main dishes out of 14 to chose from, one word for all of them: Fautless. We tried the two of the desserts as well and what I can say they hit it out of the park. We’ve tried plenty of churros in our life and they were top notch. The waitress who was serving us (big shout out to her for amazing service, lady with big earring and upper lip piercing) she checked back on our main food which is a bug bear of mine. Towards the end of the evening, the music did get a bit loud, I suppose the evening was turning to night, but that didn’t bother us as our meal was coming to the end. The decor is a mix of everything, but not a select style as such but it’s got a nice ambience and friendly vibe. Song choices were good too. I can’t wait to come back.

Authentic Carribbean food and great service many people had told me about it for some time, and I now know why. It's no longer a secret

Very nice small cafe, had a beans and sausage toastie, I really liked the books they had there to read, and various stuff you could take away for free.

What can I say apart from WOW this chicken is amazing and the chips are on point .....Will be back again !!

I love the chef’s special and people are very nice and friendly in the restaurant, definitely recommend

Would really recommend who likes to try Lithuanian traditional and not traditional food. Great prices too:-)
