A friend recommended this restaurant, and we visited it to buy takeaways. I must commend the chef and staff for their exceptional service while we waited. They prepared an incredibly delicious meal for us to take home. I highly recommend trying their food, as it is definitely worth the cost. Thank you to everyone involved.

What a lovely spot. Drive through a beautiful Manor House/spa and at the back is a stunning new built restaurant. The grounds alone show great attention to detail. So I wasn’t surprised when I Order food and service was good. With Caribbean infused, the food was 10/10. So flavoursome and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend!

Booking by email was quick and friendly. We shared Auntie Marlin's platter with jerk chicken and curry goat. It was a huge plate of veg and carbohydrates (rice, rotis, delicious plantain, patties, macaroni cheese etc) with the meat dishes separate. I thought it was all really tasty. My husband doesn't like veg and he struggled a bit because the sides mostly had veg in. The waitress was very friendly and obliging. She was apologetic about our food being served late and brought us complimentary rum punch. Warm cheesecake for pudding was amazing. Shame I was too full of main course to finish it!

I had several hours to kill waiting for my husband at Silverstone and just wanted somewhere to sit, eat and work. I stumbled across this hotel and I am so glad I did. The staff were amazing- welcoming, attentive and kind and looked after me the whole time, moving me inside when it started raining. I had the salmon on a bed of noodles and it was lovely, the fish was beautifully cooked. I will definitely be back to try your Spa and accommodation. Thank you for squeezing me in!

We visited on Friday and both our meals were delicious. The sauce that came with the Sea Bass was incredibly rich and flavourful. The menu has a good selection without being overwhelming. Visited here for the first time with my Mum for a birthday lunch. Service was very efficient, the food was excellent and can honestly say to was the best fish finger sandwich ever. The bread was so fresh and soft and the fish was flaky and coated in a light breadcrumb all served with a side salad. Booked to come back with a friend.

Absolutely awful, starter was nice apart from them not having everything on the menu! but then went down hill from there I ordered sea bass with king prawn thermador, my 3 prawns were tiny and like rubber and the thermador sauce wS bland, the fish was lovely but thats it! It was served with roast potatoes that i would swear were frozen at some point and carrots that may have been blanched but certainly were not cooked! My friend ordered duck breast what she got was a very thin duck leg, the meat was so tough she couldn't get it off the bone!! She was not even told her that they had not been able to get Duck Breasts that day!! The waitress was lovely and tried so hard but the food was just awful, and all i could smell most of the evening was hot oil that smelt like it was too hot! will not be going back anytime soon!!

I have been looking for an excuse to try this restaurant for ages and taking my wife for a valentines dinned seemed ideal, I did think that there may be a special menu that evening and the normal menu would not be available so that was not an issue. The restaurant was busy, our table was booked for eight and we were a little early, but this caused the staff no problems at all and we were seated straight away. The young lady who was out main waitress for the evening was very nice and friendly and the tables were nicely decorated for Valentines day. The special menu basically had three choices; steak, chicken, fish, possibly a vegetarian option but I am not sure. We were told that there was no steak, this was a bit of a surprise as this was s special menu for the evening, and it was only 7:40 in the evening. We did get a complimentary glass of pink fizz, not sure what it was but it was nice. My wife had the stuffed mushroom and I had the soup. The soup was butternut squash and coconut, however it was devoid of any seasoning, was very bland and had no taste of coconut. The mushroom was a bit small and sad looking with too much lettuce. Having been told the steak was off we both ordered the chicken. The chicken breast was cooked beautifully, it had not dried out at all, but it was served with peas mixed with onions and shaved or crushed nuts on the top. Underneath was a sort of potato rosti which was a little overdone. The chicken would have been OK if it had come with a sauce but as it was it was again, all a bit bland and inspiring. The desserts, again there was a choice of about four, were also disappointing but because none of the flavours worked together. I accept that this is a special menu and I have not been to this restaurant when they do their regular menu but do think that that an evening such as this should reflect what the restaurant normally does. The serving staff were all very helpful, a little too much as one young lady asked us repeatedly if everything was OK, it wasn’t really but not bad enough for me to complain at the time and ruin everyone’s evenings, although my wife felt I should have done. In all I feel the prices were fair but that things needed more taste. My wife has pointed out that this experience was like being on the Apprentice when Lord Sugar had set a hospitality task, everyone seemed to be working hard but they were not necessarily working together!

Where do I start? We booked afternoon tea for 3 online at £22 each. When we arrived the afternoon tea was sitting on the side clearly waiting for our arrival. We ordered 3 flat whites which came and were unlike any other flat white I have had, it was basically a very milky coffee in a mug. Clearly they have no idea what a flat white is. When the afternoon tea arrived, one of the scones was very small. It was clearly the leftover scone mixture made into a small scone - something I do myself at home. However when I am paying £22 a head I expect a full size scone, especially as there was only one each. When we complained to the waitress the manager came over and said the reason was because they were homemade (I should think so!). However I had to challenge her and say that the reason it is small is because it is the leftover mixture and she then agreed to bring another scone. Considering how cheap scones are to make I think it is a mistake to offer only 1 very small one. The jam was not homemade and was in a tiny jar and the cream was not clotted cream either. The selection of cakes and sandwiches was ok. I can’t say they were bad but they were not particularly impressive either. There was a piece of Battenberg cake, a chocolate brownie and a choux bun filled with cream and covered in chocolate. The cream was simply whipped cream, not a chantilly cream which is what I would expect and the chocolate was just melted cooking chocolate, not a ganache. Whilst we were eating our afternoon tea there was a terrible smell of frying as the kitchen is open and the chef/cook was making a chicken sandwich for the manager. She then came and sat on the table right behind us despite the rest of the restaurant being empty and ate. Not only do I not appreciate having the smell of fried food wafting around when I am eating an afternoon tea but I do not want a member of staff eating their lunch on the table behind us!!When the bill came we were charged £25 a head. The manager said this was because the prices had just been updated despite us booking online and it stating it would be £22 each. We had to challenge her again and eventually the owner came said it was because the jam they buy is now more expensive!!! This in my opinion is an utterly ridiculous excuse but he did reduce the bill to the advertised price. He then said he would give us a 10% discount if we came again but caveated that by saying it would have to be in the next month otherwise these things drag on!!!We were really looking forward to this afternoon tea and live very locally to Potterspury House. The whole afternoon was actually laughable it was so bad and we will certainly not be returning to get a 10% discount on a very basic and disappointing experience.

3 of us visited Pottersbury House for afternoon tea for a birthday celebration, but we certainly will not be going back.We had afternoon tea which was priced at 22 pounds (online). Although when the bill came we were charged 25 pounds each. We grumbled about it but nothing was done until we asked to see the manager. He finally took the 3 pounds per person off the bill. The food was ok, sandwiches were fairly tasty, but the service was laughable. The scones were dry and crumbly, presumably they'd been in the freezer as they were so dried out.The waitress/manager has a sizeable chip on her shoulder, and did not like it when we mentioned that one of the scones was considerably smaller than the others. Perhaps they could try making the scones fresh each day and actually measuring the size to ensure the ONE scone you recieve is actually bigger than a golf ball! The icing on the cake really was the smell of fried food, and best of all it was for the managers lunch! She proceeded to sit right next to our table to eat her lunch, despite the whole cafe being empty. Rude!We certainly will not be going back, and please do not be fooled by the fancy website!

Four of us had a super afternoon tea here in December. We were the only people there and were well looked after. The sandwiches - some open rolls, using white and brown bread were delicious as were the homemade cakes (especially the battenburg!). All types of tea were available. The only very slight minus was the fact that you had to pay extra if you wanted a second cup of coffee. That said we all had a great time, ate extremely well and were perfectly looked after by the staff.

We really, really wanted to love this restaurant as it is a short drive from home and has had some very favourable reviews. There were also other, critical comments which seemed to suggest inconsistency, but could just have been picky clients . We went for brunch (with a specific reservation) and arrived to find very few other customers. We hoped this might avoid the delays mentioned elsewhere but, not so. We ordered two cooked brunches with coffee, one fruit juice and one yoghurt. Coffee, juice and yoghurt (wrong flavour, despite a double-check) arrived quickly, though I'd have preferred the coffee with the food. After a long gap, my dish arrived but it transpired my husband's full English had been missed by the cook because "it had been written on the order after the drinks instead of before them". We couldn't help feeling that reading to the end of the (short) order would have been a good idea! Would two people who had booked specifically for brunch want only one meal? Maybe, but it would have been a bit odd - a quick check could have saved the day. I was just finishing my meal when my husband's finally arrived. Mine was very good, his was mainly OK but the sausage proved significantly undercooked in the middle. To be fair, we were offered a generous reduction on the bill but by then, our outing had been ruined by the chaotic service and variable food. Recriminations between cook and server were, embarrassingly, clearly audible from the kitchen and served only to reinforce the fundamental lack of professionalism with which our visit was treated. I am sorry to be so critical but it was a very, very disappointing experience. I doubt we would go back.

I recently had to organise a family meal to celebrate a special event and Potterspury House came to the rescue. They were very flexible and accomodating in their approach, proactively offering some useful ideas too. They helped me create a custom menu and offered to stream my Spotify playlist too. On the day, everyone complimented the lovely decor and spotlessly clean premises. We really appreciated the personal welcome, private dining and being able to hear our own playlist. The starters, jerk chicken and curry main in particular were a hit. Dessert wise, the sticky toffee pudding was moist and yummy. I wished there had been some healthier options also for those who prefer less sugar these days. Also the group would have liked the food served on a platter at the table or nearer to the table. A lovely time was had by all. Thank you, Marlin, Richard and the entire team!

My husband booked a table for this evening to celebrate my birthday and our wedding anniversary. When we arrived for 7pm there were 4 people sitting outside and we were the only 2 in the restaurant. We ordered drinks and a main course each of rack of lamb and rib eye steak. 9 other diners turned up. The kitchen is open and on view. There was only one chef and one person waiting on table. An hour later food came out of the kitchen but served to the people outside. We were served shortly afterwards by the chef who apologized for keeping us waiting. The meat was delicious but the accompanying vegetables were sparse and very undercooked. We then waited at least 15 minutes for our plates to be taken away and a further 15 minutes before our dessert order was taken. We both had creme brûlée which was okay. Our neighboring diners both had missing orders and when we left just before 9.30pm 2 tables still hadn’t had their main meals served. Not once did the waiter apologise for the service only stating how ‘hectic ‘ it was tonight. After really looking forward to celebrating in style we were very very disappointed and unlike fellow diners who had had a previous bad experience there but had decided to give it another try, we will not be returning. Shame.

We had left Hinckley Saturday morning and were on our way to visit a cousin in Olney and wanted to stop for a drink. We drove past this farm but further up the road turned round and ended up in the farm yard. We walked into the cafe and ordered food and a drink rack. Well what a find I came out in the end with cakes a local brewed craft beer . Would highly recommend this eatery if in the area, very clean and well priced with excellent staff.

Really friendly local village pub, well patronised by locals and some from surrounding villages. Excellent cask ales with a weekly guest ale. Although this is not a food pub, it does sell heated sausage rolls, cornish pasties, and pizza twirls along with the usual crisps, peanuts, etc. There are regular events such as Live singers, Karaoke, Bingo, and a,weekly meat raffle on a Sunday at 4.00pm followed by 'Play your cards right'. Still very much the hub of the Community. Nothing has altered, a brilliant Village pub serving excellent beverages to the Community along with a venue for friends and families to meet together. Unfortunately, the current Landlord has had to serve notice due to price rises across the board. Hopefully, the owner will try to maintain it as a community asset. Only 5 weeks remaining as a pub in its own right. I believe it will be closed for a few weeks and reopen as an Indian restaurant under a new name and management. I will have to wait and see if it will retain any 'wet' trade for locals. The pub closed and has now re opened as a bar and grill Bangladeshi restaurant. Moocha Wala.
