Used to come here often, it WAS really good. Felt like a decent social place where drivers can come to socialise and chill. Came here this time, and I don't know what's happened. The staff member who served me was really rude and really didn't seem to want to be at work. Kept on going on about wanting to go on his break. He then proceeded to completely belittle a foreign driver who was trying to order some food and book his lorry in. Getting annoyed with him as he was having to type on his phone (I presume into a translator app). I think I'll avoid it in the future. Not sure why but the walm social side of this place has gone.

Good parking. Clean shower, toilet. Booked Travis. You can pay with Snap.

Our 1st visit but there is likely to be more when we're in the area! We stopped off here on the way to Silverstone and wow! What a menu. It changes after 1300 too so even more to choose from if the morning menu doesn't float your boat. We had the great big Mixed Grill and the chicken in mushroom sauce. Portions were generous and the food was really good! There is a bar too and a shop, handy for some on the road essentials. It is a great place to stop as a general road user and I imagine, from what we saw, it's a great place for the Truckers too with the other facilities available to them😃👍🏼

Very good parking. Sanitary facilities and nickel showers. Very good and plentiful meal.. now the parking has increased to 31 Books with Snap & 6 voucher books...

The food is not as good as it used to be! The change of staff affected the quality of the food! And it's so expensive that you'll have to think twice about coming here!!!!

With refs when entering STRAIGHT point blank and to the LEFT, well, many smart guys are in all the trees with a ref closer to the toilet, they are called PI-SY

It's a very good place, the food is delicious, it's worth arriving early because the parking lot fills up quickly.

The parking staff is super. But the security guards park the cars so that if one catches fire, they will all burn. But he is in great demand.

And the parking is absolutely dreadful when I say dreadful I mean dreadful,how they bloke you all in being greedy putting more trucks on than it holds is unreal I can honestly say all the years trucking in Europe stopping on truck stops no change by the way and IV never been blocked in.. ever.. IV never seen anything like it how they do it here... Pure gread nothing more then pure gread... Will not be staying there again...

Big Truck Parking close to junction 16 - M1 motorway. Patrol and gas station, facilities and security. Many truck use this location for breaks.

Serve booze from 0600. Cracking place for a full English and a pint. Ready to start the working day.

No frigos with running coolers allowed. But loudly explain that it has more than 200 seats. But not a 10 for Frigos. Sorry, absolute no-go. But want to buy and eat fresh produce at any time of the day. Then make cans so we can plug in the Frigos and then I would even pay for the electricity.

Very nice and quiet place. Setting according to departure times. Food okay, shower great. Large cabin. Cool service. There is no room for frigo, it would have been useful to have this information earlier. Besides, I don't understand why Frigo doesn't, it's the same trailer as any other, I wonder how the food gets to you, because it's definitely not by camel.

Easily the best truck stop I've used. Showers are plenty big enough and well laid out so all your stuff doesn't get wet. Food is always good and plenty of choice.

Red Lion So why do you use the reservation system ❓🤦 The way of parking is quite troublesome, which does not detract from the fact that the parking lot is really good ❗ The kitchen is real poetry on the English market😁 It's worth visiting

Your food doesn't taste good, you need to fix it. The vehicle apparatus sold in your store is also fake, I bought an apparatus and it broke down in a second.

This truck stop has under expansion over the recent years but standards of cleanliness have not suffered. The shower are always spotless and there are plenty of them. Food is always good and cheap beer too.

I don't understand the fascination with this truck stop. Around 6 p.m. If you don't have a reservation, you have nothing to look for here. They stuff like sardines. But this is a plus, because they ask who is leaving at what time and arrange it to suit everyone. The restaurant is open 6am-10pm. And during these hours you can use showers (7 minutes) and indoor toilets. When it is closed, there are only 3 toilets in the entire parking lot. It could be a bit more. Maybe even a few toitoi. So that everyone can benefit in the morning. When you pay snap and pay an additional £1, you get £6 in a voucher. The food is quite expensive. But it doesn't impress either. The mutton kebab is disgusting, the worst ball of power I've ever eaten, I left it. Chicken meat is much better. I regret that I took half and half. And the fries could be squeezed out of fat, they even drip. It's a pity because I saw better fries on the neighboring tables. It depends on the cook or the dish🤷 Plus for the service at the bar. You can see that they are very patient when the drivers don't speak English well. Well, I was happy that I got a place. Therefore 3⭐

In general, the parking lot is good, the bathrooms are ok, the restaurant is nice, but the food is terrible, everything is semi-finished products except the salad😀 if you are fans of semi-finished products, come to England, I ordered a burger, the meatball was from the frozen ones, it is not known from which century it was frozen, French fries, breaded chicken fillet semi-finished products in general a tragedy this is not only in this establishment but everywhere in England put it in the fryer and let the pigs eat it is quick and easy I would give -5 stars for the food but I give 3 because of the rest of the car park and I wonder those people who commented that the food was great, have they ever eaten fresh and delicious food🤨

I've noticed a drop of in quality over the last 6 months. A lot of staff changes in the bar. Nowhere near as friendly as the old staff. They just walk past you when it's obvious you want serving. It's a though someone else has taken it over. Shame. Used to be one of the best...

First time here and will not be returning!! Gentleman serving did not seem happy or like he wanted to be there was a little rushing. Waited 45 minutes for 3 breakfasts for it to turn up stone cold!! Would not recommend to anyone!!

Good parking, a little bit crowded, you have to say when you leave because you will be parked by a gentleman like fishes in a can, depending of your leaving hour. You will get a coin for shower when you pay.

Nice and clean truck stop. The only reason I give four stars is because the adblue pump is extremely slow. Basically 1 l per minute.

Showers are excellent and kept very clean. Food is average. Attitude to some of the European drivers is absolutely shocking.

Very good parking with a slightly chaotic parking structure. Fortunately, the places are indicated by security. SNAP/Visa/Cash payment. Free toilets are available 1 shower is included in the parking price There is also a restaurant on site with good food. I've already eaten a few dishes there and it was very tasty, although for my taste there wasn't much spice, but that's because it's England and there is such a style of cooking, large portions and reasonable prices. The staff is helpful, nice and cheerful. There is also a mini shop with various things and gadgets for trucks. I recommend, safe parking.

Very good English parking. Showers and toilets for free. Payment in various ways. They facilitate according to your departure time. Free bikes available. There are shops nearby as well as places to go and do some sightseeing. Buses are available every now and then to the town. Very good driving. Peace and quiet . Guarded/lit parking lot.

Truck parking staff...Don't work in the Queen's Guard! Naughty, insensitive and behaviorally miserable. Learn to speak nicely and civilly, if you don't acquire these manners, go home. You occupy a position you do not deserve. Shame!!!

One of the better Truckstops in England, clean showers, good food and nice atmosphere. During the week at 6:00 p.m. It's already hard to get seats.

Great large truck park near Northampton. The cost is £31 or £35, depending on whether we want one or two restaurant vouchers (each for £6). Each truck is scheduled according to its departure schedule from the parking lot. Approximately 200 vehicles enter. Of course, there are bathrooms and showers (the ticket includes a token for a 7-minute shower, which is enough) and an extensive restaurant menu. Tasty food, large portions.

Bathrooms are good. An extremely reliable truck park. The reason I deduct points is that sometimes, but not always, other vehicles are parked in front of you. The kitchen and service are positive.

Great place to stop, but they pack the trucks in like sardines. It's a bit worrying as if there was a fire you couldn't get your truck out or isolate one.

I'm not a trucker, kets get that straight first, although I had the honour and privilege of being part of the team that brought the very first Truckfest to the world way back in the 80's at Newark Showground, when it snowed! I digress. This place is a clean, easy accessible , facility primarily for the hard working truck fraternity who already know how good this place is and don't need convincing, no this report dear reader is to spread the good word to the poor sods that still go to the Harvester in Northampton for brekky (where we used to go before it altered its menu). Check out the menu kn their website its Knockout. X2 by buster breakfasts with tea and toast , me and my pal were set for the day and value for money? Please, with x3 sausages, xe eggs, beans, x3 bacon, x3 hash browns, black pud, Tom's, mushrooms, toast, tea.....all for less than a tenner! If I could order that at the Harvester (which you can't cos they sacked off the build your own option)It would be well North of a te ner and I submit not as good. I didn't ask but next time I'm gonna add the steak to the brekky, you only live once and whi needs clean arteries anyway - x1 large plate of cholesterol Please!!! Full marks to the team at the Rouge Lion Truckstop and take a tip from me people and get there quick before one of the best kept secrets in Lorryland gets out!! Hello, I think this is the best Truck Stop in England. Everything fits toilets, showers, food. Additionally, wifi works throughout the entire parking lot. I recommend costing £35, £10 for food.

Great truck stop Stopped here on the way home, a great truck stop. Im a retired driver and always love a good truck stop. I’m local and used to pass the Red Lion 6 times a day on some rota’s. I was always curious but had a timetable to keep so couldn’t stop. An old driver mentioned the Red Lion as a good stop. We visited and found great food quickly served by very attentive staff. Only thing to mention is that the steak n kidney pudding was not on the menu. Really good food including take aways, a good old fashion truck stop with a modern menu. Well done guys, we will call in again.

Great to be able to treat myself to a visit to Europe's number one Truck Stop, on my way back from delivering more aid to Ukraine. Good service and food, all the facilities a truck driver would need for short and long haul journeys.

When I arrive to red lion it’s usually always Friday through Sunday. Security is always lenient with you. Unless there are truly no more spots available which you can see when you have to park and see security first before entering the parking they almost always have spots available no matter the time. I’ve been here about 5 times now and when I had a delivery in Sunderland I asked if I could reserve a spot for when I come back because it takes about 4 hours to get there and 4 to get back sometimes more with traffic. I would not have enough time to continue driving anywhere else as I do not live in the UK but Poland. The owner personally came out and told me this is fine we will have a spot reserved for you. Great shop Great food I don’t see why people complain about the showers if it’s packed just wait it’s not like you have to leave right after your shower. All in all I love this truck stop!

My favorite car park in England!!! Good showers and toilets, cleanliness, washing machines and dryers, delicious cuisine, and most importantly People!!! Always responsive and friendly staff!!!! Great spot. Lovely food, great showers and cleans toilets. Parking gets quite full faulty quickly so if you can pre-book or get there early. Great truck wash too. Quick and made simple by using snap. Highly, highly recommended.

Excellent parking, the main thing is that Girtekovsky peas don’t get here😎 Shower 7 minutes with a token, payment Snap +1 pound, they give you a voucher for food, you can get water, there is also a car wash with Snap. It gets clogged up quickly, after 18:00 you may not get it

As they wrote above, a man met me at the entrance, asked the departure time and told me where to get up! Pay at the restaurant, Snap is available! One of the workers speaks Russian! You pay an extra £1 and they give you a food voucher for 6!

Food is OK here but everything else not so much. If you would ask me to imagine the best truck stop of 2024 this would be miles away. Place looks more like classic pub then truck stop and is far from some of the European ones and even some in the UK.

I like it here. Obviously, it is primarily a Truck Stop, coffee is OK and food is nice.

The place is good, I've been 4 times and it's great with everything, but today I arrived to take a 24 hour break and they kicked me out because the temperature was -22 degrees in the refrigerator, I mean with a refrigerator you can't stay, they should reserve some How many places for the refrigerators, it's a shame.

Parked like sardines, on a surface full of holes and mud ( I wouldn't want to walk there during the night) and the most expensive parking so far. This seems to be a common thing, but for how many they sqeeze in, they should have at least double amount of showers and toilets available, and shower ceiling is full of mould. There isn't much ventilation. Showers are token based, you get 7 minutes. If you forget it is timed, you need to go naked in the bar full of soap to buy one more. Woke up to this. I need to start my day and leave, but I am blocked by 7 lorries. If I could give it 0 stars I would. How on earth does this place get truck stop of the year 2024 award?

Cosy atmosphere in the restaurant, good quality food, great service and a lot of truck accessories available in the truck store.

Not really the beat truckstop in Europe. I don't know who voted for that. But it is good. Parking is like sardines. If someone needs to leave at a different time they stated due to changes in work load you won't be getting out, or you will be moving to let someone out. The Truck stop itself is OK. They have a bar and shop selling all things you may need as a driver. Fuel pu.ps that take most cards and a wash. However the showers could do with updating a little. The token system I've never liked. Although they do have a cleaner on duty in the evening to clean which is top 👍 food I have had a few times. But wouldn't rave about it per se. But if you don't have food you'll get a good meal. They're on snap also.
