Red Lion Truck Stop in South Northamptonshire

One of the best places for a weekend. If it suits my route I always go there. The internet is blazing fast all over the square. The shower and toilets are clean. A nice atmospheric bar. Very good food. I haven't eaten anything better in England. I recommend Pepper Honey Chicken.

Not my cup of tea. Way too cramped in the parking area. Food is decent though.

Good parking, filled to capacity at night, security at check-in asks for check-out time and parks, in the restaurant they give you a voucher, for 1 pound you buy a voucher for 6 pounds and they give you a token for a shower, shower 6 minutes

Great, quiet parking...sets according to departure times,,, Snap 31 pounds 24h, give 1 pound and get a voucher for 6 pounds. Gives a token for the shower for 7 minutes (shower is great)-spacious Nearby public transport stop, you can go shopping D2, D3 buses 2.5 pounds...

Elegant parking. When entering, we tell the security guard what time we are leaving, then he shows us a place. In the evening, the parking lot is fully booked. At night, it is quiet and stress-free. The restaurant is great. With a parking lot voucher, you can order a whole meal without additional payment. A portion for a real trucker. A really nice English atmosphere. Toilets and showers are cleaned regularly. We have free wifi in the parking lot. I recommend it.

Awesome truck stop. Plenty spaces for over night parking but gets busy so be early if possible. Food fantastic. Recommend the pulled pork burger and a pint beer. You can fuel up, wash truck and shower ! 1 of the best in uk

Coming here for years... good truck stop. Good showers. Clean toilets. They've changed menu lately and although the portions are still big. The quality of food isn't the same . Definitely cheaper products for still the same expensive prices

Gorgeous snap. After 21:00 They jam to capacity, but everything is on time. No one is stopping you from leaving in the morning. The food is very good. I added 4 pounds and barely ate the portion. Shower for 7 minutes. And so everything is written as everyone else has written before. I recommend it.

Good showers in here but that's all that is good, fuel pumps are very slow, hoses don't reach both sides, overnight parking is very tight if you can get in, packed in very tight with no way out till your departure time, meals are overpriced and overcooked, possibly the worst breakfast I've ever had, hash browns shatter when you cut them as there over cooked and dry, bacon is the same that was so hard I couldn't cut it, only thing edible was the sausage and the beans, eggs where hard nd cold, for nearly £10 it should be alot better then this, definitely the last time I will ever visit, rather use the greggs at the end of the road 😞

2 years ago, I left this notice: Stop for short break. Top truck stop. Warm atmosphere, fast service. Large selection of dishes. A good address for me. Good job team red lion. Since then I have stopped from time to time, and this evening 02/19/25, new stop, I had the "New York Chicken" dish. It's really hearty and good, the fries are really excellent. I highly recommend this truckstop.

Just Wow, Everything in one spot. Has loads of different fuel ⛽ types (Not Just Diesel). Spacious and easy to get in & out. Will definitely stop here again!!

I give it 4 because of the food, otherwise it's hard to find a place after 6:00 p.m. during the week, yesterday even a mouse climbed onto the step of the tractor and ate a carrot and lettuce.

Busy truck stop there's usually plenty of parking space as long as you get there at a reasonable time, the food is really good, the portions are big too, the showers are very hot, clean and the toilets are cleaned on a regular basis, out of hours there are external toilets that you can use. Location wise it's just 2 minutes off the M1.

Great parking. There is also room late in the evening. You stop at the entrance and wait for the porter in case he is not there. He asks you how long you are staying and tells you where to park.

Don't waste time booking and paying, because if you arrive and it's already full they'll send you away even if you've paid, total lack of respect I risked exceeding the time, other than that I was forced to take a break next to the road. I absolutely do not recommend!!!! Zero stars

I only ever go for gas and a loo break. The toilets definetly could be cleaner but that's due to the amount of people that use them rather than the fault of the staff. Staff have always been friendly if I've needed assistance.

Hi, the parking lot is only full at the weekend, you have to count the rows to find the truck. Showers only during the day, at night only the small toilets are open. It's ok unlike many others I never found the tarp cut.

Nice and secure snap car park with great restaurant. Possibility to book with TRAVIS. Toilets and bathrooms clean, there are also 2 washing machines with 2 dryers

Fantastic, 2 valets who welcome you asking for your departure time so that they can allocate parking for you, excellent food, plenty of beer and very good John Smith in particular... friendly and very polite staff, excellent and clean showers and facilities, vouchers included in the parking price where they can be used at the pub....in short, the best truckstop I've visited in the UK.

Used to be better here but the food isn't as good as it was but lightning fast service and a friendly place with good facilities. Cold rushed food. Will come back but will think twice about eating here again.

Absolute hell whole of a place security shouting at 4am in morning trying to park 2 trucks up which took over 30 minutes. I had the curry which was like water with no taste cold Naan bread lf your looking for quiet parking with decent food this is not the place I will not be parking here again
