Lovely little cafe, with friendly and helpful staff and a great selection of food. It was a perfect place to meet friends from Rome and the Netherlands. Our group ordered a wide variety of choices from the menu including the soup, Scottish breakfast, scrambled eggs and salmon, smoothies, waffles, carrot cake and tea - all delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the owl cushions very comfy. You could miss it walking by, but well worth searching it out and popping in. It extends a way back - a bit of a tardis for seating.

The staff there are amazing - I go in at least 4 or 5 times a week and have been doing so for years and I have never had anything even approaching a bad experience. From the Manager Ryan all the way through the staff they are friendly, chatty and make a bloody good cuppa too

We've been coming to our favourite Edinburgh place since it opened in 2015 and looking back I couldn't believe my only review of it was 7 years ago. Chef Sean continues to innovate and delight in equal measure, as is clear from the proliferation of 5* reviews - don't hesitate to ask anything about the food or the wine, he is rarely happier than when describing the provenance of the cheese or veal.. or the terroir of his new favourite wine... I rarely go for restaurant wine pairings but wouldn't hesitate to recommend the offerings here. You won't be disappointed by the quality, value or attention to detail! I've posted the current menu below - you'll get a copy in your goody-bag when you leave. And I can't leave without mentioning Keith - Sean's brother and head of music production at The Table. The place wouldn't be the same without you, Keith. Look forward to seeing you both again, soon! And next year is the 10th Anniversary! Can't wait for that..

A true gem in the heart of Edinburgh! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the warm atmosphere and welcoming staff. This restaurant has it all: incredible, mouth-watering food, exceptionally friendly and attentive service, and fantastic vibes. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

UPDATE OCTOBER 2024: ✨ OMG! ✨ That Greenwoods magic is still fully shinin' and I am delighted! Return trip here on our Scottish hols this half term and honestly, it was just as good as two years ago, it fully lived up to the rose tinted hype of my memory and I am so so pleased. Had the courgette salad this time, very healthy, very demure. Fab service, great vibes. Would recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Have already booked our next visit, for December 2024 and can't wait to see you soon 😘😘 REVIEW FROM DECEMBER 2022: Amazing breakfast stack pancakes 🥞 I would fully recommend this place for breakfast, brunch, and everything in between. Bacon, sausage, egg, tomato - and pancakes and maple syrup! Not only is the food amazing, but the staff are warm and friendly and the decor is cosy and modern. We had a table by the window so got to see Edinburgh waking up whilst we ate, which was lovely too. Thankyou Greenwoods for a star breakfast ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Average Turkish cuisine. Portions nit as generous as other Turkish restaurants I gave been. Meat was a bit smelly and very little in the dish. Prices are higher than usual specially for such small portions. Staff very polite and caring. It us at a corner of a traffic junctions and you can get there only by foot. Efes beer is served in original bottle as ur is in Turkey. Small venue and not very decorative and presentable.

We had the most amazing experience at Grazing by Mark Greenaway. Excellent service from Eva, Caitlin, Michael, Jenny, Joanna and Elena, couples with mouth watering menu. It was the perfect dining experience including paired and recommended wines as well as servers’ favourites recommendations. We loved every minute of it and would recommend to any couple looking to celebrate an evening of great food and wine.

Visited here on Xmas Eve. Felt that the staff couldn’t be bothered having you there. My husband ordered the full breakfast and the haggis and black pudding on his plate were about the thickness of a piece of card. Ordered fresh juices, and they were more water than juice. No taste at all. Our hot drinks were on the counter for over ten minutes, but the staff kept walking past them. I ended up going over and taking them myself. Won’t go there again.
